Completed a $300 trade with DM90 a few weeks back. I screwed up on my side by getting the wrong type of card but he worked with me and was able to find another method to finish our trade. Honest trader and will definitely work with him again.
5  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] Silver Casascius 10BTC Physical Bitcoin on: June 02, 2013, 05:10:51 AM
I think I've seen more Gold/silver ones for sale than just silver...but the gold is just an add-on to the silver I guess.

id love to know the count

Casascius posted once that there was an almost even split between the all silver and the gold painted ones. And there's 450 or 486 total 10BTC coins depending on the site you look at (http://casascius.uberbills.com/ or http://casascius.appspot.com/ I'm not sure which is the correct count)

I can cover postage to the US and Canada. Honestly I didn't think about shipping to foreign countries but how does splitting it sound?

This should be the auction end timer (barring any last minute bids)

Timer removed. End time: 2013-05-28+23:00:00UTC
10  Economy / Auctions / [AUCTION] Casascius 10 BTC 1 oz silver physical bitcoin on: May 23, 2013, 11:43:17 PM
450 of these 10 BTC silver coins were made. Casascius has stated that there is about an even split of the silver BTC logo coins and hand-painted gold BTC logo coins. This auction is for the silver variety.

I have never opened the case that the coin came in so it is still in pristine condition. The firstbit is 1AgYKnso which can be verified untouched at http://casascius.uberbills.com/?address=1AgYKnsoKJBZQLWFNaXzprSgxQznRbe39J

I have included 3 pictures in this album http://imgur.com/a/SJL0S along with another which shows the coin and my forum name to prove this coin is mine.

Bidding starts at 15 BTC and bids must be a minimum of .1 BTC increments. Please bid in this thread. The auction will end at 11PM GMT on May 28th. To prevent any auction sniping there will be a 10 minute window after the final bid to allow for additional bids (a bid at 10:58PM will result in the auction ending at 11:08PM. An additional bid at 11:05PM will result in the auction ending at 11:15PM)

I will escrow as long as all fees are paid by the buyer.

I don't have to defend it, our numbers are rock solid, thanks for asking though. Smiley

As for pre-ordering a bASIC, of course. I'm pretty sure Tom has BFL equipment tucked away somewhere.

I miss nothing you intentionally mis-read/lead with your take on that section where it is crystal clear you can back out for any reason if your not happy with the specs or lack thereof, go play the red herring game elsewhere.

I beg to differ.  Can you show me where it's crystal clear then?  Tom has clearly stated that the refund policy will likely change.  He has also clearly stated he will not give out power numbers until he has the production boards.  That's pretty clear that there will likely be no refunds after he gives out the power numbers.  Please show me where I am incorrect.

Tom also said, in the quote you provided, that he would give a one week notice to any refund policy changes to allow plenty of time for anybody to request one. It's very obvious he's not going to suddenly announce a policy change and screw over his customers as you are trying to imply.

I just watched this on tv and there was a quick 3-5 minute segment at the end about bitcoin. Maybe someone can find it online, best I can do is this link to their blog post: http://tvblogs.nationalgeographic.com/2012/10/11/inside-americas-money-vault/
