Any reason the block explorer on your website is also broken?

We've been working on improving the block explorer and have our front-end developer building a new one from scratch.  We're not happy with the current solution (it's always crashing).  If you need an explorer, I'd recommend Altmix currently: https://altmix.org/coins/10-Bulwark

Do you think we are stupid? Bot trading? No problem. At 0.00051+ BTC when everywhere else prices are 0.0003?

There are no deposits into Cryptopia right now so the market there isn't open / representative of true market conditions.  Anyone can manipulate a closed market.  CryptoBridge has 8+ BTC of organic volume and price is finding support between 30-40k SAT, which is a decent price point.  On Cryptopia (BEFORE THE WALLET ISSUES), the price was around 40k SAT.  We had a retracement with the rest of the market in January.  Not surprising.

Kaelke was right - all that happened to get people to mine BWK which is not really profitable right now

So your assertion is that this is a grand conspiracy between the BWK developer team, whoever forked our network, and exchange operators to... trick you into mining BWK?  Really?

at least not with nicehash however I mined with a very high profitability last night only.

Well.  I guess you still can mine profitably at current prices.  Right?

What was unfair? The way we were all framed. I wish I was wrong about you. I can see this coin going down slowly and it will go to the botom once Cryptopia opens the famous deposit wallets. Does anyone still believe 0.00051 BTC buying orders are still waiting for you?

I'm a big fan of letting the market decide what it wants to do with price action.  Our job isn't to stimulate price action, or to tell you when to buy, sell, or mine.  Our job is to deliver a stable and viable product.  Bulwark hit a significant stumbling block, but we are recovering.  If you're not happy with what we've done, or what we're doing, or how we've communicated... you're welcome to go elsewhere.

Bad news is easy to spread, bad things are easy to remember.

Bad news sucks, but we are really grateful for the support we have found in this challenging time.  We are hopeful that Cryptopia trading will resume soon, but respect their timelines.  There's nothing that we can do (at this point) to accelerate the processes on their end.  They have many coins listed and their team can only work so fast.  I respect and appreciate that this entire situation has been frustrating for you.  It has been for me, too.

That said, communication with Cryptopia has been open and good.  They are not a scam and are doing their best.  We appreciate their partnership and respect their timelines.

Have you noticed BWK trading on Cryptopia? Extremely quick high volume sales and buys at much higher prices than anywhere else.  Pure bullshit and none of the devs noticed?

There's just nothing that we can do about bot trading.  What kind of action would you expect us to take for this?

I have to admit I made a lot of money thanks to nicehash mining and trading where people were dumping but what was done wasn't fair.

What was done that wasn't fair?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bulwark (Multiple Forks, MasterNode not earning, Community Censorship) on: February 07, 2018, 04:05:09 AM
I have been following Bulwark for a little while now, have mined it, traded it, participated in the community discord.

Thank you for being a part of our community.

Recently Bulwark had some issues with the block chain forking, I was only present and for one of the forks but the discussion was that a large amount of hash power which was blamed on NiceHash causing a fork of the block chain and the wallets, mining pools and the exchange wallets were out of sync and couldn't decide on which of the now multiple forks was the 'right' one and reach a consensus.  Some of the pools disabled mining, some of the exchanges disabled the wallet so no more withdrawals or deposits.

The Developer that was present at the time said that this is quite a headache and that since it was decentralized there is nothing they can do about it and to wait and see how to plays out.  At the time of the fork and the influx of hashing power in the magnitudes greater than 51% of the global hash rate there was also a DDoS attack on Bulwark and yes its decentralized but a community actively making a decision on which fork is the real fork and working towards achieving consensus by manipulating nodes is a bit grey.

The developer in the community discord post a list of nodes to add to wallets, that supposedly had the 'right' block chain and urged users to update their wallets.  I did this and erased the block chain and sync'd my wallet with the bsod.pw version of the block chain.  Everything was now in order as far as I was aware.

On 2/2/2018, a malicious actor forked our chain in a multi-staged attack.  They DDOSed our seed nodes and then used Nicehash to freeze the main chain before re-employing Nicehash on a different pool, causing a network fork.  We caught this quickly and the offending public pool reindexed, orphaning 30 blocks on the fork.  We promptly asked Cryptopia to close the wallet and had them re-open it within a few hours once the chain re-consolidated.

This happened a second time on 2/4/2018, but instead the attacker used a private pool.  This time, the fork split our network, separating exchanges, wallets, masternodes and mining pools.  We promptly asked Cryptopia to close the wallet to prevent a 51% attack, market dumping, and significant damage to our coin's economy.   You're right that the coin there is still in maintenance and deposits and withdraws are being prevented.  This is for the best interest of the coin's economy - we cannot idly sit by as a 51% attacker dumps an exchange with fake coins before abandoning a forked chain - regaining the coins and keeping the Bitcoin they effectively stole.  Not going to happen.

Today I come online to the discord and to discover that there are MasterNodes on the Bulwark network which are now idle and not earning rewards and the MasterNode owners in the community are trying to fix their MasterNodes so they can start receiving rewards, the developers response was to wait for a new wallet because any work they did now to repair their MasterNode would just have to be repeated when a new wallet was released.  Since MasterNodes are not exactly cheap it would be very understandable that owners would be concerned so I said in the Discord that I would be concern if my MasterNode was idle and not earning rewards.  Which for this I was promptly banned from their discord server.  I made a polite request in their Telegram that my ban be reviewed which prompted my swift ban from their Telegram group also.

Due to the network fork, Masternodes began treating one and other as misbehaving peers.  This resulted from a number of problems, including different wallet versions being in operation concurrently.  A user can get their masternode up, running, and stable by utilizing the latest version of our release code, 1.2.0.3 on their VPS and desktop wallet.  We are in the process of releasing a mandatory update to our Linux, Windows, and Mac wallets to address the multiple wallet versions on the network.    This, combined with additional back-end work we are doing to strengthen our DNS seeders against a similar attack should bring our blockchain back to a point where we can safely re-enable exchange trading.

I am writing on the forum to see if their is concern about what is happening with Bulwark and its development from the community here, as I have a stake in Bulwark as a crypto but being removed from the community casts some doubt on the whole crypto and its governance.  They seem to be quite happy that the exchanges stopped deposits and withdrawals, now all my conspiracy senses are tingling and I am open to discussion on the matter.

I appreciate your concern and want to assure you that we are doing our best to be good stewards of our coin, our users, and their concerns.  As I am sure you can imagine, this type of attack on a network is not something any community wants to face.  We would like to never be put into a situation where our coin is forked via a series of malicious actions again.  We were hoping that it was an honest mistake, that's what we thought about the first fork that quickly corrected.  Due to the nature of the attack and the fact that there was one chain being mined by everyone except the attacker and another chain (that was farther behind, with lower hash rate, and being mined on a private pool) our decision on the chain to support was clear.

Please let me know what your thoughts are and your opinions on the events, especially if you have experienced them.

We are extremely passionate about our community.  It is a true feat to be banned from any of our community engagement portals.  We generally only ban users who are toxic (least common), scammers (less common), or spammers (most common).

Is NiceHash users to blame for forking a block chain, is it really too much hash power in one place.  Bulwark has always been very centralized due to a couple of very large pools.

We encourage our users to mine on multiple pools and to distribute hash power.  There are a few pools that - for whatever reason - have attracted a larger number of users.  As much as we ask our miners to try to spread hash power, we do not have the ability to control them.  Our chain has been being hit with multiple TH/s from Nicehash since we launched.  Look at the difficulty spikes.  It would be great if miners would seek out small pools to spread hash power, but we can't force them to do anything.

Censorship in the community is a huge concern for me, just leads me to believe they are hiding something, who else have they silenced.

Transparency is extremely important.  We are not hiding anything.  We are clear in what we know, what we believe, and what we are doing.  Critics, users with concerns, and people asking challenging questions are not being silenced.  Bulwark is focused on providing individuals freedom through privacy and part of that is entertaining ideas that we aren't comfortable with.  We will revisit your ban in a few days.

Batterys can you tell me your view on DAO's and how you think they will apply to Bulwark?

Hey bitChipper - thanks for the question.  I think it's good and is probably something that we haven't done a good enough job addressing.

At it's heart, Bulwark's governance model is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that is governed by the Coin Fund starting on Year 2.  This DAO will be able to vote on how the Super Block (equal to 10% of block rewards for the period) is distributed.  We want to make participation in the DAO governance model as easy as possible for our userbase and plan to address this challenge as we get closer to the start of the coin fund.

Bulwark's DAO will be directed by parties able to submit proposals, pay the submission fee, and garner the support necessary to have their initiatives approved.  As with any decentralized system, an engaged user base is extremely important.

What are your thoughts on DAOs?  Do you have any suggestions for how we can facilitate a high level of engagement to avoid the challenges that other DAO-funded projects face?

Hi there, when BWK goes to other important exchanges? some predicitions... Smiley

Basically,  Bulwark is a shit clone with ZERO innovations or unique features to speak of. I challenge the team to prove otherwise.  Redesigning the reward mechanism is NOT innovation.  Unlikely to hit any other exchange other than craptopia and yobutt!

Challenge accepted.  Unique features and development are forthcoming, but require time.  We'd be happy to answer any specific questions you have in Discord if you're looking for more than a troll-podium.

i using windows wallet and i want move it to another computer

how i can generate private keys to restore wallet at other device?

Two ways.

1:  NOT RECOMMENDED: You can type "dumpprivkey" in the wallet console

2:  RECOMMENDED: Go to File -> Backup Wallet and use a USB drive to take the wallet.dat file to the new device and unlock the wallet using your password

Bulwark Mining Pool
Will you please stop spamming this thread with your endless ads?! They're annoying as hell, and it's not ok to put 2 pool ads per each page in a coin's ANN thread!

Worse yet - this guy isn't even affiliated with the project.  We had to ban them from the Discord for repeatedly failing to state they're an unofficial pool.

Have details on how to setup a master node?  I have the coins, but just don't see how.

There is a step-by-step guide in the Bulwark Discord and a group of people available to talk you through the process.

LOL. Why is a new coin that was just announced few days ago trading around 17 -20K. Some of you newbs should visit CMC and see the caliber of coins trading around that price. Thats around $2 per coin Grin oh well, i guess some of you will learn the hard way.

Circulating supply is low and price is high because a Masternode will produce 5000 coins in about 10 days.  Nobody is selling because they're accumulating.  If you want to see a high priced coin, check out https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/42-coin/ or RMC.

Are you surprised 1 TH/S nethash within 72 hours of launch ? seriously? Now it is a reality, nicehash bombards any shit coins at the beginning of his run.

Yeah.  Actually, I am.  700+ GH/S of NIST5 via Nicehash runs about 3.8-4.0 BTC/day.  This means that whoever is buying the hash power is paying approximately 15k SAT / BWK.  I think it is impressive that a new coin has such a strong price floor being set by miners.

in exchange, buy order is very low.
Dev, you need to list BULWARK in a masternode list like: mnrank.com, masternodes.pro,...etc...

We are working toward listing on these sites, Coin Market Cap, and additional exchanges.  We have applied to CMC and are awaiting approval.  Once approved by CMC, some the Masternode sites that use the CMC API will be able to list our coin. This launch exceeded our wildest expectations and we are both excited, and grateful, for the amount of support we are seeing put behind this coin.  Can you believe that we hit 1 TH/S nethash within 72 hours of launch.  That's approximately 20,000 GPU's pointed at BWK!!!!

Let's do some math:

There are 19 Masternodes on the network currently.   Each MN receives roughly 1/19th of the 9600 BWK allocated for Masternodes.  A Masternode requires 5000 BWK.  With current numbers, nodes will produce 5000 BWK within TEN DAYS.  Think about that! Remember that node rewards are currently 80/20 favoring miners and will gradually scale to 50/50 over the next 90 days.   The number of nodes will scale up, but so will the rewards.

There are a total of 7,600 BWK for sale on Coinsmarkets (https://coinsmarkets.com/trade-BTC-BWK.htm), but there's a big gap between Ask / Sell and the people asking aren't really moving toward the buy-side on the order book.   This is healthy market making activity and we want a natural price point to emerge from normal market forces.

do you plan to cryptopia exchange ?

Good question.  We do plan for additional exchange listings and there are a number of potential targets.  What's most important to us, right now, is a successful launch and smooth ramp up in community held coins / masternodes / engagement.   We are working hard to be good actors here and want to create opportunity for all early-adopters to find their share of success.

Market liquidity and exchange lists are expensive and we don't want to damage the nascent economy by selling premined coins or operating dozens of masternodes to capture all of the masternode share.

Our goals for this project are long-term and require a sustainable ecosystem.

Which pool is the best? umine is good?

I would encourage Blocksucker because they have less hashpower and they have 0% fees for the next few days.

Everyone should know that masternodes are currently active and skimming 20%.

Masternodes are collecting 10 BWK / block.  That's accurate and how the system was coded.  There's an 80/20 split after the slow start.

Rather than letting that 20% burn we are collecting it and will use it for the betterment of the project - notably via giveaways and to fund additional exchange listings.

If you want to sell BWK on the Coinsmarkets listing, I've got a standing order for 1000 @ 700 SAT.  Please - sell away.

This is a long-term project and we're not going to jeopardize it over a fraction of the already-small pre-mine.  By the end of the 3rd month, 85% of circulating coins for this project will be mined.

These are both my nodes:

https://altmix.org/coins/10-Bulwark/explorer/address/bZSfqvVvuRBrCes1KfxrC4uCthPKdwt6Zx

and

https://altmix.org/coins/10-Bulwark/explorer/address/bJiNkVZVBKC9wD9mHHgbpV6FwzfkmMmkTf

You will see I've already posted about them.  Watch their wallet movement. You'll see their Masternode rewards consolidate in a few days and then we will release our plan for them.  Please hop into the Discord with any questions.
