ok, im going to ask a stupid question... i was looking at how payouts work and i dont understand something, im probably seeing it wrong or im just not as knowledgeable as the rest of you guys are but it says that the top 100 miners plus an additional 50 get paid out when a block is found
"Each time a block is solved, the top 100 miners will receive a payout while 50 of the remaining smaller miners will receive a payout. Rewards will alternate between the smaller miners according to who has waited the longest for a payout. Rewards accumulate from blocks worked on even if miners are not scheduled for a payout with that block."
looking at the active miners list on the new website i am sitting at around the high 30's out of top 100 and i have 2 postponed so far and im not currently on the current payout list. did i miss something or am i overlooking something?
You are in the top 100 currently active miners. The top 100 share contributors in the last 10 trillion shares are the the ones that get paid. Over time you will eventually contribute a proportionate number of shares. thank you for the clarification. |

...but my worker isnt in the "work" section...
If your address is not listed in http://ckpool.org/pool/pool.work, then you haven't submitted any shares to this pool. "1MEo4aCnSbKA5FaBSVCEPQQYpxRr9MZ4be": 1813018012.14, sorry, by "work" i was refering to the section from the new website which only shows the workers getting a payout if a block is found my worker does show up in the user and active miner sections |

You won't be added to the payout queue before a block has been mined... but my worker isnt in the "work" section, so this current block = no payout just like the last 2. |

I like the new ckpool website but the only thing I don't see there is my postponed number... I don't see it in the user section anymore. Any way to add that in or am I not looking in the right spot.

did you take into account the change in difficulty? ...
Are you saying that we will see the final data for January ONLY when we will see the first block in February OR that the current posted data for January IS already final. If it is not final, maybe explain why not? Thanks.
The monthly blocks table is for blocks found in the month. We won't find any more in January - so it's final. I probably don't get how the the stats are being displayed. It could be entirely my misunderstanding of some params. Specifically, 21.68 ph in dec, 31.98 ph in Jan, 22% increase in Ph. expected blocks: 6.8 in January vs 10.2 in Dec, a 32.7% decrease Hashing power went up 22%, expected blocks decreased 32.7% Yet, the network hashing power had the arithmetic average of 12.88 Zetah/s in Dec vs 18.56 Zetah/s in january, a 44% increase I can't match the numbers with roughly 10% mismatch. |

my head just exploded. much respect to anybody who actually understands math on that level. all i know about mining is plug it in add a little internet magic and poof bitcoins come out.

LOL. Good morning, Mr. Joe. I pull the pool work stats and do a little Excel math. For my percentage, I manually copy/paste the list of users in the Postponed list (outside of the 150 users receiving payouts) to Excel (or as of yesterday, Google Sheets), and have the program find the total number of users, find my user and show its position in the list, then divide my position by the total number of users and multiply it by 100 to find the percentage. The Internet is a wealth of knowledge and help. Everyone works from the same pages and does their own math. That top 50 contributors list was someone else working with the same data and parsing whatever info they wanted. thanks, im not gunna lie the only part of this that i understand is "LOL. hi sorry to sound stupid but im new to mining, can somebody explain how payments are calculated? i dont understand herp and derp and im just curious how payouts work if you arent on the payout list. i dont have a big miner only 1.15th so i dont expect much, if i understand it correctly the only payout is if somebody within the pool finds a block then there is a payout for only the miners on the payout list and everybody else just accumulates herpes. so if im not on the list how do i get on the list do i need more herp?, is my hash rate even enough to make it? im going to try for about a month and see what happens but if no blocks are found then no payout? i dont pay for electricity so im not really losing anything so i take this as an experiment and learning experience. thanks in advance to whoever explains this for me. and happy new year.
