Hi DarkCoiners. I'm a early adopter of BTC and after the recent Coinbase debacle where they banned someone for how they used their coins, it finally clicked how important anonymity is. I'm creating this new account for my interactions with this community as I want to keep my other account strictly for BTC.
I've purchased a couple thousands DRK and will be setting up masternodes soon.
I'm excited that I finally get it and have Coinbase to thank.
Glad to hear it! If you're not interested in administering/managing your masternodes, please consider my new service: (shameless plug) https://darkcointalk.org/threads/moocowmoos-magic-masternode-maker.3305/ Thanks! And welcome to the dark side! --moocowmoo (darianc on bitcointalk)

anybody knows about withdraws from crypsy !? I am waiting since 2 hours and nothing !
dam I hate these exchanges ! always worried
Don't sweat it. Last drk withdraw I let sit for 12 hours, then opened a ticket, then got the withdrawal within an hour. Cryptsy requires patience. And an occasional kick.

can i get an "idiot translation" please i am happy to participate in this but how do i do that ?! where do i put that code !? i run that out of a wallet correct !? can somebody please tell me a set up to use ? tx on windows: go to %appdata% (or c:\users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming) duplicate your darkcoin folder rename your copy to darkcoin-provider-10.16.1 enter darkcoin-provider-10.16.1 delete its wallet.dat debug.log peers.dat update darkcoin conf to: listen=0 enabledarksend=1 darksendrounds=99999 darksend_blocks_between_successes=57 make a shortcut from your downloaded darkcoin rename your shortcut to: darkcoin-qt-10.16.1.exe - LIQPROV append your new datadir in the shortcut-properties like this: C:\Users\YOURUSER\Downloads\darkcoin-0.10.16.1-win\32\darkcoin-qt.exe -datadir="C:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Roaming\darkcoin-provider-10.16.1" alter as needed for your particular system. double-click your new shortcut after launch, send one of the suggested amount ( https://darkcointalk.org/threads/darksend-liquidity-providers-v0-10-16-1.2737/ ) to that wallet. have a beer.

Also, like I pointed out earlier, this means that Masternodes now have no direct involvement in the actual person to person transaction, so if someone decides to use Darkcoin to so something illegal, there is no reasonable grounds for Masternode owners to be held liable.
Plausible deniability ftw!

To user of http://drk.poolhash.org/masternode.htmlI have found a bug in my code at Masternode listing(displaying only one ip) . So I have changed primary key from 'address 0' to 'address 0' + 'ip address'. Everybody with a masternode, take a minute out to thank chaeplin with a donation. His pages are invaluable in this in-between time of payment uncertainty. His donation address is Xm9jUBMNumdXMGgZ6n2eqjvj3BfhLfhv9k and can be found on the bottom of every page of http://drk.poolhash.org/ Thank you Chaeplin for all your hard work!

you have been skipped twice by non-participating/non-updated nodes. darian - would you mind posting the link to that stats page ? I didn't realise you could detect the Expected Payee even if they'd been skipped and I think I'm experienceing the same problem. Thanks it's the one he linked --> http://drk.poolhash.org/masternode.html use the filter box "Enter address(es) to see only :" -- space separate the first dozen characters or so of your mn address'

We need proper actions !
1) set your buy orders to catch the dumps. 2) laugh at the suckers that sell you drk @ 0.01 3) wait (this requires patience) 4) profit!!!

How did you dump all getblocktemplate's for all blocks? Use command option blocknotify. # darkcoin.conf blocknotify=/home/user/scripts/blocks.py
Works for new blocks, but not historical blocks. Any ideas? Deleted directories blocks and chainstate expecting blocknotify invocation for all historical blocks. No joy.

good for you guys. you have been lucky -- I'm still at 30% expected payout. (at current 50% block rewards)
|
|
|
It's stupid to expect level results.
Fairness in payments will make masternodes more attractive to those running them and those looking to run them. Potential investors will expect calculable (deterministic) returns. I understand the gaussian distribution. My concern is it's period and the effect that has on those that do or may contribute to the strength of the network.
