1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Poetry on: March 26, 2020, 07:28:21 AM
I admire the your artistry on making this poem but I guess it is not a thing in here. You can't control the chaos with words.
I guess you just did this to get some merit but I don't find it interesting anymore and I'm pretty sure  you tried to do similar to this thread

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5235239.0

We are trying to get merits but for at the very least make a post that we're all going to benefit like news, crypto events etc.

Don't rely on the first thread that you have read coz you just got back. I don't mean to discourage you to put an effort for somethings else.

Gaining some merits may have been a goal of mine but that is not the true intention. I assume that you find my work as unappealing or something but this won't stop me from doing this.

It is a nice idea for me except that Op didn't impress you or maybe the thread isn't well handled. Making a bitcoin poem is innovative and if it is meant for merit, well almost every poster wish for merit to move up in rank except legendary member who have reached apex in the forum ranks.

I appreciate the gesture of trying to defend my work and I thank you for that.

...

There's a difference between using e.g. articles for merit-hunting and sharing your own work. For example, even if I would ever hunt for merit by continuing to do some of the scammer-hunting work I've done before for the forum (not the case, but saying it hypothetically), does that mean my work should be pooped on by people like you? Smiley

OP, nice work. If you like poetry, keep up with it. Would be very interesting if one day a poem about BTC will be studied in school or if a book about BTC would become a best-seller. Cheesy

Thank you for those warm words. And regarding the BTC book poetry, that's very optimistic and lit!

This is cool. I really loved your lines as they compete (or won) mine. Since you said you got more coming, bring the best while coming. Don't rush it, don't force it, just let the creativity flow and they'll be credible. 😎

Edit:But it's quite strange to see that you haven't posted since October last year (except this post). Just saying.

Will do! I struggle making some poetry but when they come, I put my all into it Smiley
I just read your work, it's good and you gain knowledge at the same time! There's no competition at all. Yours is in different level

Yeah, I've been very inactive here for a long time. I've been very busy at my work. I had my time now since our country is in lockdown.

Hi Bitcointalk. It has been a while.
I'll be sharing my own poetry about bitcoin in this thread from time to time. Forgive me if it will not be regular but I'll try. Grin

Everyone is encouraged to share too.

Disclaimer: I'm not good at this. But I try Roll Eyes

Bitcoin in the Future

The future has already been set,
Bitcoin will burst, that is my bet;
Tap here, tap there; Scan here, scan there,
Prove me wrong, that is a dare.

But despite of this growth and advancement,
Life will stay the same for it is what it was meant,
Beggars will still beg but this time is so lit,
Having the best line: "Sir, can you spare just one bit?"

Will be adding more, stay tuned! Wink
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 17,800,000 BTC already mined on: October 29, 2019, 10:31:45 AM
After mining all the Bitcoins, miners start processing transactions, receiving a reward for it. The Bitcoin network will live and I will say more, it will be very successful because, unlike fiat money, Bitcoin will suppress inflation due to its limited count

That won't be the case, when all the Bitcoins were mined, there are no more rewards for every block that will be mined. Instead, the minerss will have to place higher transaction fees just to sustain the profitability of mining. With this, we can assume that transaction fees of Bitcoin will be very high compared to the current fees.

This post is just a way of promoting his profile. An attempt to make some noobs buy these coin for the benefit of OP himself. Perhaps if there are any descriptions or reasons about the said coin, some might fall for it. A desperate move to make the demand higher. Nice try but this is a weak move.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of Altcoins ? on: October 08, 2019, 11:04:42 AM
I believe altcoins are still promising. Yes the majority tend to stick with the strong ones and this is just normal. People need assurance since we are talking about finance. But once the strong ones began soaring again, the altcoin with low value but has strong support will be the people's alternative. Only shitcoins made the whole system questionable. Once they are eradicated, Altcoin will shine again.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The use of stable coins or no? on: October 07, 2019, 08:25:47 AM
Only bitcoin could called stable coin because have good price every moment, with other coin like bch, doge, and bnb look do not stable price with lower. Bitcoin have potential become higher price and keep stable with moment where bitcoin become most profitable than other coin at the next time.

I take that you have no idea what a "stable coin" is. From the name itself, these coins are stable in value. The best example would be Tether. Bitcoin, on the other hand, is very far from being stable. Bitcoin is very volatile, which is the complete opposite of being stable. We've seen Bitcoin go up and down every single day. Your statement, though poses optimisms, is nonsense with respect to the topic at hand.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto really go to zero? on: October 07, 2019, 06:06:52 AM
In general, I have high confidence that we won't see cryptocurrency hitting zero. A selected few ( probably many ) will definitely hit zero level but not all of them. With the vast production of new alts every day many will perish and only the steadfast ones will remain. We will continue to see evolution of cryptocurrency since innovation is the trend of this world.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin Is the Third-Most Resistant to 51% Attacks, After Bitcoin and Ethereum on: October 04, 2019, 02:07:33 AM
What started with a joke turned out to be one of the best out there. The only thing that is lacking is the support. Many are supporting BTC, ETH, BCH because of their value. IMO,considering the stability of DOGE's price and its security, DOGE could be the next Bitcoin if supported massively.

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: August 26, 2019, 11:40:38 PM
The most logical reason for that is; Bitcoin was created first and get the hype in the early stage. Altcoins tech is better and they have more features but whatever they do, nothing can replace Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a revolution.

Being the first or Alpha does not ensure a spot to be the "king" as most would say. It is true that there are some altcoins that works better that Bitcoin but still, no one replaces Bitcoin. The mere explanation for this is the people support. People support bitcoin more than any cryptocurrency out there. Without this support, no altcoin could dethrone Bitcoin.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin can't be banned on: April 25, 2019, 08:19:17 AM
... "I'm afraid my country will ban Bitcoin!"...

I believe that the concept of "banning" people are afraid of is if their government would declare a law or something that prohibits banks, within their country, from exchanging Bitcoin  or any cryptocurrency to fiat. Yes people can still use Bitcoin and can transact via blockchain. But if these people cannot exchange their Bitcoin to cash, that would be troublesome. Bitcoin is still intangible and people does not have much trust in something like that so people would still lean on fiat.
13  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price will hit $1 million in 2020 because of mathematics: John McAfee on: April 24, 2019, 02:26:17 AM
John McAfee is one of the person who gives more positivity to the crypto people. Whether the prediction is gonna come to reality or not, but whenever he comes forward with some statements I feel convinced even when the market is not that progressive. As some users mentioned he's mocking, I suggest let him mock and he isn't creating any negativity around.

He's like that because he invested so much in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. This is just a form of initializing a placebo effect. Saying impossible (lowly probable) thing would make people hope to see it happen. Though he's using Math or something, this is cryptocurrency and nothing has been certain since this started.

However, this kind of attitude is what the whole community need in order to make the price steadfast.
14  Other / Meta / Re: sig campaign- what about "1merited post per week" instead of"25 post per week" on: July 16, 2018, 03:46:18 PM
The prime purpose of signature campaign is to advertise whatever website or ICO it is. If the metric for payment is Merited post then the purpose of advertisement will be destroyed. Advertising is disseminating information about the website/ICO and the number of post is crucial. So at the end the number of post will still be counted and not the merit.

It's funny that you don't have the balls to go after the legendaries who told you the exact same thing I did, that you're a merit beggar yourself.

Oh please, I think you're just making a big deal out of this because you haven't earned any Merit at all. If you have any proof of snitching on someone, feel free to place your accusation on the table. I'll be waiting  Wink

Actually, it's about how the statement was delivered. You don't know how I confront people here regardless of their Rank or their position in this forum.

Man, just lock the thread. If you consider you have your answer already, why to continue with this nonsense??
Lock it. Problem solved.

Oh yeah, I forgot about it.
I'll close this thread now.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the Unsold Tokens? on: July 16, 2018, 03:32:01 PM
2) Unsold tokens are not burned - founders keep them. It's not a good option at the eyes of the token holders. It can be used as a personal interest.

This varies depending on the rules of the company who raised the ICO. I have seen an ICO that does not burn the unsold tokens but they added them on the funds of the project that will benefit the end user of their platform. Just like the reward system of mining, unsold tokens were allotted as additional reward. Although the price might go down because of the supply, they countered it by increasing the reward.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: How the Bank works to make money? on: July 16, 2018, 03:24:09 PM
How do you think banks make money, how does a bank make money to pay its employees and business operational?
Does the bank rely solely on interest on loans from banks?

Banks invests money you deposit to a business, loans, etc. in order for them to gain. Banks have protocols about how much they can invest. For instance, you deposited $100. The bank will hold (let us say) 10% of the deposited amount and store it in their vault. The remaining 90% goes to their projects, investments, or whatever is their way of earning. So basically, your money makes the bank and the project they are investing in alive.

The 10% stated above varies from different banks depending on their own protocol.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the collateral behind Bitcoin? on: July 16, 2018, 02:26:24 PM
What is the collateral behind Bitcoin?Like in case of Fixed deposits Money deposited acts as a collateral. In case of a car loan Car acts as a collateral.Likewise what is collateral behind Bitcoin? BTCBTC

Bitcoin is not a loan in order for it to have any collateral. You buy Bitcoin voluntarily and understanding that the price could fluctuate at any second. Bitcoin is not backed by gold, money, or any item that is of value. So if you lose your Bitcoins, there's nothing you can do about it nor you'll receive something for it has no collateral at all.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to have bitcoin shortage? on: July 16, 2018, 02:03:08 PM
I do not think that bitcoin will be enough if the whole people around the world will going to buy bitcoins. There will be too much shortage on bitcoin supply and this will lead also to have an expensive market price for bitcoin. As we all know that there are billions of people around the world and bitcoin supply is only limited. So meaning to say in the near future there will be a shortage for bitcoin supply and thus will lead to create another dominant coin like having ether as one of the possibilities that it will be the next to bitcoin. As of this moment i am seeing this already closely to happen. What do you think?

The price of Bitcoin could be the one that could cope with the demand for Bitcoin. If the price of Bitcoin is too high, people won't buy more than 1 Bitcoin making the current total supply adequate. However, if ever the supply is not really enough in covering the worldwide usage then a consensus might happen that might implement the increase of the total supply.
