1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Creating bitcoin fork on: December 04, 2017, 02:54:32 PM
I can strongly recommend you to read the book

"Mastering Bitcoin: Unlocking Digital Cryptocurrencies" by Andreas M. Antonopoulos (This guy is a genius!)

It talks about the technical sides of Bitcoin, how the programming behind it works, the protocol etc... (and also how you could fork it)
(If you don't have programming experience, you won't have any fun with it though)
2  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Public or private blockchains on: December 04, 2017, 02:44:51 PM
In my opinion a public Blockchain is quite important in order to go confirm with local laws around the world.
If Cryptocurrency really want to change something, they shouldn't be illegal. Of course a private Blockchain isn't illegal you could argue now - but I am afraid that this could happen for obvious reasons in the future though.
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the safest wallet to use? on: December 04, 2017, 11:53:15 AM
You should buy yourself a ledger nano s hardware wallet. It costs about 70€ and to be honest it isnt exactly user friendly when it comes to people who have never been in touch with cryptocurrencys at al - but still there is a lot of information on their website and the internet in general on how to use it and a hardware wallet is by far the safest option you can choose because your private keys will never be physical in touch with your computer exposed to the internet.
Even if you use a paper wallet you still have to type in your keys at some point if you want to use or acces your wallet - and then a keylogger could log your keys. This can't happen if u use a hardware wallet
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as payment system on: December 04, 2017, 11:20:42 AM
We all know that Bitcoin is one of the best ways to invest your money. However, we know that Satoshi wanted to change money as we know it rather than new investment model.

How do you think, will we be using bitcoin as payment system? Or it will stay as it is and this bubble blow up one day?  Undecided

And how do you see it's future?

I actually think it is in a bubble right now and it will burst some day.
If you look at the average amount of transactions per day from 2016 to now, you can see a growth of maybe 10% and thats probably already to high. Where as the prices have risen thousands percent!
So that beeing said means that Bitcoin hasnt got more real adoption usage compared to the price growth. Transaction Fees and Processing right now are way too high.
But anyway - I love Bitcoin and I believe in it! I am convinced that those problems will be solved somewhere in the future and that people will find solutions for this. Also the real world adoption will continue to grow even if it isnt happening as fast as many people think right now. So I think the bubble will blow up in the next few months - but if you have look at the longterm (several years) Bitcoin will be used as a payment everywhere and the prices even higher than right now.
5  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: In the beginning days when people were mining with CPU on: December 04, 2017, 11:07:00 AM
Oh man I wish I would have known of Bitcoin back in the days.
Not because of the money to be made, but just because it must have been such exciting times to see the network grow and grow and also be able to participate with little hardware like just cpu mining!

Hello,
Your projet is looking very interesting and it's good to have some other decentralized exchanges than only etherdelta(which is great) I think.
So I may consider to join your ICO - but can you tell me if there is a hard cap and also what the hard cap is? In the announcement I could only find a soft cap.

Thank you!

Whatomine.com

We have tools and data to prove "best" or "most profitable" coins to mine. Please provide more information other than your own faith.

Thank you very much for this link, it is really useful indeed and exactly what I was looking for.
Energy costs in my country are way to high though (germany) but I still want to mine just as an hobby and out of passion and at least try to not loose too much money on it =D
And who knows, if the marketcaps will keep rising like they're doing in the last months, I may even still mak profit with my mining!:)
