Is it possible for sites like these to harness the computing power of its users in order to mine bitcoins? I thought I read it somewhere but it didn't make sense to me at all since I wasn't aware how a website could access it's users GPUs (or at least it seemed like it would have to be very inefficient and CPU driven). Was this a myth or is this a real thing?
Don't think so. This is just a simple lottery game with real chances of winning. I've tested the site!

There is no such thing as "greed" if there is a buyer.
Its greed when you make more than enough and then some, yet you still bought 70 6990s and like 5 BFL 20k miners... I would call that greed because even after all that you still have money to blow... Greed Others would call that development!

People often confuse "socialism" with the concept of "communism." While the two ideologies share much in common, in fact communism encompasses socialism. The primary difference between the two is that "socialism" applies to economic systems, whereas "communism" applies to both economic and political systems.
Another difference between socialism and communism is that communists directly oppose the concept of capitalism, an economic system in which production is controlled by private interests. Socialists, on the other hand, believe socialism can exist within a capitalist society.

"It is clear that Bitcoin can be used as money. It can be used to purchase goods or services, and as Shavers stated, used to pay for individual living expenses. The only limitation of Bitcoin is that it is limited to those places that accept it as currency. However, it can also be exchanged for conventional currencies, such as the U.S. dollar, Euro, Yen, and Yuan. Therefore, Bitcoin is a currency or form of money, and investors wishing to invest in BTCST provided an investment of money." Finally

Now people realized that simple mining rigs were good.
The technology was overvalued but they got their money.
