Google is your best friend. There are SO many articles nowadays that explain the steps of creating new token. You can also use websites that create tokens for you.

Why? Because I believe the technology is here to stay and will become part of our lives eventually. I want to be one of the early contributors to it haha

SRCoin is definitely in my current radar. ICO ending at the end of March.

1. Project from an established company with great record. No need to worry about leadership/company failure
2. Realistic goal that can be achieved in a year or less. Might not be the next 100x but a very safe investment in this volatile market.
3. Demo platform releasing soon

Sandblock - Pretty cool project that aims to make customer engagement easier. Definitely a niche market with little competition.

Stellar is definitely one of my favorites and have a big chunk of my portfolio in it. XLM has been moving up recently and I'm sure it will continue to do so in 2018

I'm invested in few ICOs currently and it's sad to see that SRCoin ICO isn't getting mentioned anywhere. I initially saw the project on coinschedule and decided to check it out.
The project is rather interesting as it involves retail marketing + medical data. The whitepaper is written well and the project seems very achievable in imminent future.
Only downside I see is that although it's done by a company with track record in its industry, this is their first ICO.

Right now is a great time to invest in ICO imo.

Ethereum and Bitcoin will do great this year. Get them cheap while you can invest in great projects.
