1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: *SCRYPT FPGA* - CryptoIndustries.com - official Bitcointalk thread on: October 02, 2013, 10:38:12 AM
I was under the impression that a FPGA for scrypt wasn't feasible. What about this report from Alpha Technology? http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0241/1743/files/Alpha_Technology_-_Scrypt_Analysis_on_FPGA_proof_of_concept.pdf?709

They are working on a GPGPU instead of FPGA.

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Pool][Profit-Switch][Optional Auto-Exchange per Coin][Vardiff] ~ Hashcows on: September 28, 2013, 01:42:53 PM
I've really been enjoying this pool so far. I get to keep the coins I want to keep, and auto-exchange the rest! I was wondering if you guys could decrease the ANC 0.1 withdrawal fee though. MEC withdrawal fee at 0.1 is fair, but ANC at 0.1 is a bit too much. If you guys made the ANC withdrawal fee 0.01 that would be a lot more fair.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Online English Classes - who's interested? on: September 25, 2013, 09:59:49 PM
Hello all,

I know an English teacher who teaches EFL/ESL (English as a second language). He is highly qualified, has numerous degrees and certifications, and has over 20 years of experience as a teacher. Would anyone here be interested in English lessons on Skype or some other program? You would be able to pay in BTC, LTC, MEC, and ANC.

I'm just trying to see who might be interested before starting.

Whoops! Yeah, sorry, I meant Proof of Stake. I wrote that post right before I went to sleep. Sorry for that. I am aware of what Proof of Work is, and what Proof of Stake is.

Hello ANC Dev Team  Grin

First of all I want to thank you guys for all the great work you are doing with this coin. I truly believe ANC will flourish if it continues down its current path. With that being said, I wanted to share some of my thoughts.

What happens when the hard limit of 4.2 million coins is reached? I didn't read anything about transaction fees, and the coin is not Proof of Stake, so what is the plan to sustain the network? I know that reaching the hard limit is far off in the future, and changes could be made to the code for tx fees, but I just want to know what you guys have in mind.

Sincerely,
myner

7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if Google got into Bitcoin on: September 11, 2013, 07:53:58 PM
Google will be involved with bitcoin in one way or another soon enough. They company is too massive for this to not happen. But will google begin mining bitcoin? I highly doubt that. Will Google begin to accept BTC as a form of payment in the near future? Possibly. Google might even decide to accept XRP instead. So many things going on in the crypto world right now.
