I don't have time to figure out how to get this working with the PCI Risers, and really don't want to spend more on another motherboard/ps/etc.  So... if anyone wants to make an offer on the hardware below, send a PM.  I've got it all up for sale locally as well.  I'm in Canada so I'd prefer to keep a sale to Canada or the US as shipping internationally would be a big hassle.  With both, I'll throw in a couple of the powered PCI risers I have here.  Someone with more knowledge than I can get them to work.

First system

Asus P8777V-LK Motherboard
4Gb Ram
3 AMD 280x Video Cards (XFX)
32GB USB Stick with BAMT installed (ready to mine)
1200W Seasonic Power Supply

Second System:

Asus P8777V-LK Motherboard
4Gb Ram
3 AMD 280x Video Cards (VisionTek)
32GB USB Stick with BAMT installed (ready to mine)
1000W Cooler Master Power Supply

Tried a riser in slot 2, card isn't recognized. Sad

I've got cards on the board in slot 2 and 7.  I've tried a riser on slot 1 (which you've said won't work) and slot 5 - do I need a jumper wire on a 16x slot when using a 1x riser?  I've tried both a 16x riser and 1x USB style riser (both powered) with the same results but I haven't had a jumper on the 16x slot.  I don't know which pins to short for a 16x slot if it needs one.

Hey all,

I've got a couple P8Z77-V LK motherboards and I can't seem to get cards to work with PCI risers.  I've tried two different kinds of risers, but the GPU's aren't detected at all using risers.  I've tried with and without the jumper wire... anyone have this motherboard and have it working with risers?  Any trick to getting it working?  I have 3 more GPU's finally arriving today and won't be able to use two of them if I can't get this working... (they work plugged into the mobo but get far too hot)

The website also says 1-1,000,000...

I generally cringe at the people screaming scam if a coin is a second late on a launch, or if the slightest thing goes wrong.... however THIS is a blatant scam.

Agree on screaming scam, unless it's got some sort of IPO.  I suspect the code didn't do what they wanted and instead of fixing/relaunching they are trying to change the specs to match reality.  If they really premined .5% of the intended 100 billion then thats 2 years mining to catch up at 500/block.

There is no intention of a scam - it is BAD launch with BAD info. I was given bad info from the dev... if it is a scam then I am scammed as well.

Look at the website man... I assume you didn't make the website, and the dev did...

1st 100,000 blocks: 0-1,000,000 VNC
1/2 reward every 100,000 blocks
@ Blocks 600,000+ — Flat 10,000 Reward

Why are we only getting 500 per block???

is there an adjustment that is going to be made?

At least you got 500 per... I seem to be getting 0 per block.

I started up the wallet on a Windows box... and started mining with another machine.  I've had 15 blocks accepted.  The wallet shows 15 transactions but 0 VNC.  Why? Smiley  I see quite a few rejections as well...

So we got pools down, pools that constantly lose connection, pools with missing coins and pools only paying out 20% of correct rewards...yet difficulty is now over 30. WTF is going on?

You'd have to be crazy to be pool mining this so must be some serious solo mining going on.

yeah, i've had a pool at 0% fee running since hour 2

i havent had any issues

i'm at >40m ..  with about 1.5mhash

though not that having these serves any real purpose       (i think almost time to switch back to my doge p2pool)

And what pool is it ? I also mined on a p2pool for 6 hours and miss multiple millions TIPS. Is there a magical way to determine in advance that the pool you're gonna mine on is not bugged/a scam ?
Because they all use the same templates so you cannot even judge by their appearance.

I'm new to the alt coin scene as well, but http://fedoracore.x64.me/ is paying out -- however... they're having some serious lag issues right now so things are very delayed.  It does appear the pool is working correctly, just the frontend is having severe database issues.  I don't really understand how p2pools work yet, so I haven't used them at all.

http://fedora.my-pool.in

What's going on with this pool??
I had a good amount of TIPS but the pool is gone and asks to re-register -> no TIPS left into the account..

The admin of the pool can explain what's going on?

The home page now says: We are back on a new & stronger Server. You need to reregister. We are trying to get back the old database for your coins!

Here's hoping... I had some left on there as well.

There is no free money in mining. You will lose. Use your money, buy coins and come back in a few years. No work and very simple.

I'd disagree with this... you just have to do a little research before you jump in.  A lot like the stock market, if you just jump in and start doing things, you're not going to be very successful.  And if you simply buy coins, you'll probably lose as well without doing your research too.
