3  Bitcoin / Mining / memory clock of 6990 won't go below 780mhz control using msi afterburnet?? on: June 13, 2011, 06:30:04 PM
Hi:

I am having a dual HD6990 set up in windows 7. I am using msi afterburner to downclock the memory clock for my cards however the memory won't go below about 780mhz.
say, If I set it to 625mhz it goes all the way back to 1250mhz...
Also, the min value on the adjust bar is 620mhz  so how can I even down clock the memory clock to around 300mhz???

So, Let me know what I did wrong...
Thanks in advance.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New to BitCoin Please help me out on: June 12, 2011, 02:10:26 AM
1 and 2: you get a new address after each transaction, however, the old address can still be used.
3: Mining is (in the most simple to explain) to use your computer to generate coins. Its still profitable now but the future of mining is not really predictable.

Hope this help.

8  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: TO NEW MINERS: trust your feelings... on: June 11, 2011, 01:22:11 AM
Thanks for your thought but I still deciding to invest money in to BTC mining as I believe that the the difficulty level and the price level will adjust eachother in the long run. So, since I decide to invest in to mining I am not going to be a casual miner. I like this whole idea of BTC and have lots of confident about its future value. So, Yes, I am still going to buy my new rigs.
9  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining profit on: June 10, 2011, 03:08:24 AM
Mining is still ok as long as you can earn more than the electric bill. The only problems is that you can not really predict the future difficulty growth and the price growth rate.

14  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Difficulty News - 6/8 on: June 09, 2011, 11:07:15 AM
I don't think this level of difficulty increase will be a problem for miners yet, because the rate of price increase is still way faster then the difficulty. however, I do believe there is a point in the future that mining will become less and less profitable. I am so curious about the future of  this whole Bitcoin idea.

19  Economy / Economics / really looking for somebody to build a Canadian market website. on: June 08, 2011, 11:51:33 PM
I know the Bitcoin market in Canada is relative small(or tiny) compared to the States. However, I have confidence that there will be a huge bitcoin market growth in Canada in the near future.

So, Is there anybody who is working on a Canadian Bitcoin Market right now?
I would really like to know!
Thanks!
