1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.3 (Windows/Linux) on: January 10, 2018, 08:02:10 PM
Hi All,

I am struggling to find a solution to my problem after hours of searching through reddit.

I am using claymore V10.3 (windows 10) and mining Ether using 12 RX570's in solo mode with the default recommended startup settings. My problem is that my hashrate is fluctuating wildly. When mining I get about 30s of solid running at 100% GPU load after which my hashrate drops to almost zero along with the GPU load for about 5s after which everything goes back to full speed. This loop then continues indefinitely and I can't figure out why.

The research I have done suggests it is due to throttling because of temps, but my temps are low ( 65 degrees) so I am not sure what could be causing the issue. The problem is even noticeable by the GPU fans, for 20s or so they spin up and sit at about 50% then the whole rig goes quiet for a few seconds as the hashrate drops and then spins back up again.

When I mine other coins like monero using xmr-stak I don't experience this problem at all so I don't think it is an issue with my rig.

Any Suggestions?

Hi,

I Performed the Bios mod as per your tutorial today. I am experiencing something strange now. I am using xmr-stak-amd miner and it reports a hashrate of 830 per card (RX570), but when I check my pool hashrate it is down to under 100 per card over a 1 hour average.

Is this normal? why would the two differ so much. I was getting a pool hashrate of around 650, same as the xmr-stak-amd report before the bios mod.

Thanks in advance
