Read your PM SopaXT,

System won't allow me to send another PM for an hour!

I've just used blockchain.info to transfer my BCs to a site I want to sell them on. Once the transaction completes I'll pop you a credit from there...

Thanks again...

The encrypted key format you're referencing seems to be a raw, Base64-encoded string.
Does that key start with "U2FsdGVkX"?

If it does, then your description seems to match the Strongcoin paper wallet format: https://strongcoin.com/assets/blog/screenshot-b42eede8f771ec089348b117db3ad3f98e47b8ea0af458b37eff56aec26ebb8d.png.
You can read about decrypting them here: on https://strongcoin.com/blog/decrypting_private_keys_generated_with_strongcoin.

Many thanks for both quick replies guys...

SopaXT, the key does start with U2FsdGVkX, I had used the StrongCoin Wallet so long ago that I forgot which Wallet service I had used. As soon as I seen your post it rang bells for me and I was able to login on the StrongCoin site and decrypt my key... Smiley

That should be me sorted, many thanks for the help...

4  Economy / Web Wallets / blockchain.info saying "This isn't a valid private key" (SOLVED) on: December 09, 2017, 05:24:05 PM
Hey,

I'm trying to use https://blockchain.info to transfer some bitcoins from a Paper Wallet to an online account. I have successfully imported the available coins from my Paper Wallet to my https://blockchain.info account. However, when I try send them to my receiving Bitcoin address using the blockchain.info "Send Bitcoin" function, I am just getting the message "This isn't a valid private key".

In my Paper Wallet I have a "Public Address, Private Key Encrypted, Checksum, Clue and Balance".

I am entering my "Private Key Encrypted" for my "Private Key" on the transfer. My Private Key Encrypted begins with U and ends with =

Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong here...?

Many thanks in advance,

Glenn
