2,1 mio shares purchase, thats huge.

That is weirdly big buy, smells really fishy to me to be honest.

3k BTC buy when only 2k BTC worth of shares sold, nothing fishy about that.

I've developed two small guidelines so far in my short time here.

1. If anyone posts a picture of a rocket and adds something like "To the moon!" it is time to sell.

2. If everyone is shitting their pants at the latest fud and the price is dropping fast it is time to buy, because will be all over in 15 min when the people with the attention span of a puppy have forgotten whatever it was they thought was so important.

99% of the time if someone is giving you advice on here or any investing board, they are doing to make more money themselves. Find the really fabulously obvious ones like icebreaker and do the opposite.

Why has the share-count increased on BTCT.co today?

It's at 3069481, and was previously at about 2950000.

That's roughly 120k new shares sold today.

Ken's pulling the good ol' pump and dump, that's why.

Could they have been shares locked up in options before the transfer?

When there is a large gap in the margins someone will buy or sell 1-10 shares seeing if people will bite, and they have big time today. This would be illegal on a regulated market and honestly shouldn't show a change unless its a larger percent of the daily volume.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: July 26, 2013, 05:46:51 PM
I would like to be whitelisted.

I have been mining for a long time now, but has recently become unprofitable for me. Recently I started trading Bitcoin assets on some of the exchanges and would like to be able to discuss some of the assets here. I feel I can help answer technical and business related questions in the securities forum and hopefully calm some nerves there. I have been lurking here and on reddit for over a year, I am very aware of forum rules and etiquette.

Thanks
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Potentially silly question concerning paying taxes on cashed-in Bitcoins... on: July 26, 2013, 05:33:31 PM
I don't know which exchanges report transactions and which ones don't but even if you use one that doesn't, that can change by the end of the year. Also, if you get audited, they will be able to look into your bank accounts and you will have to be able to prove taxes were paid on all of your income. If you do report it, report it as capitol gains but be sure to deduct your hardware investment first.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: my mining efforts for 100.00 MH/s perday (( New To mining )) on: July 26, 2013, 05:02:07 PM
At the current difficulty you will make 0.0016 BTC per day or about $0.15 at day. You may want to look at mining some of the alt coins such as Litecoin or Primecoin. Also, there are a few pools that will automatically switch to the current most profitable coin and convert to BTC before distributing the profits.

Do these posts count toward the bounty timer as well? I assume they do but wanted to make sure.
