Thanks very much for the quick reply.

Is it not possible to transfer the BC from the Blockchain account into the new hardware wallet account already created?

Hi,

I have bought and setup a new Ledge Nano S and I would like to transfer all my Bitcoin from Blockchain.info to the Nano S BC wallet.  Do you have any recommendation for how best I can do this?

- I would like to avoid transfer fees if this is possible
- I have 12 passcodes from my Blockchain.info accounts if this is of use

I have read various messages which touch upon it but I cannot make sense of how best to do this

Many thanks for any input at all

Thanks all for your quick replies and useful information, very much appreciated!

I think I will go for the Nano Ledger S hardware wallet and transfer my BC and Ether from Blockchain.

For those who store their BC on a hardware wallet, where do you recommend buying your BC as to ensure minimum fees when transferring out to the hardware wallet. What level of transfer fee would be considered acceptable so I know I'm not being ripped off?

Many thanks

Hi,

I have purchased BC via Blockchain.info and now I want to pull my coin out in case the company are compromised or disappear. Ideally I want to place my bitcoin into a hardware or paper wallet but I have some questions first if anybody can shed some light please.

1. In Blockchain.info I have been provided with a 12-word recovery phase, is this bespoke to recovering bitcoin from Blockchain.info only or can this phrase be used to recover my Bitcoin via an alternate service in the case that Blockchain.info disappear?

2. To pull my bitcoin out of blockchain I understand that I need the private key. Does anybody know how to extract it from this site? I have searched but just cannot find it.

3. Once I have the private key, is it possible to create both a paper and a hardware wallet or can you only choose one?

4. When you move coin from a web wallet to a paper/hardware wallet should you be paying commission for this move or is it free?

Many thanks for any support
