Nice looking wallet! I didn't hear about this one until now but I will pick some up when it is released on an exchange (I'm not interested in using the NXT AE).
This one could be a sleeping giant!

ICO only, no giveaways, bounties, etc? Also, while this certainly sounds interesting, I'd remove the "1000x Growth Potential" from the title as it sounds scammy. Somehow I doubt that if I buy 10 BTC worth of Seedcoin, I have a chance at a 10,000 BTC return

It's a success if you consider the pump&dump that made him make a lot of money.
Not really. Moneros price is barely 10% higher than the low caused by the attack. If anything the attack was psychological and is still having ramifications as we speak. I have to agree with this. Cryptocoins trade on rumours and hype so even if BCX was completely full of hot air, he certainly caused damage. Sure, the price didn't plummet but there is no telling how many people were stopped from jumping in now, or even turned off forever.

Is this the same Leafcoin that came out in the winter? I ask because I seem to remember that one having a lot of pages in its thread. Was there some sort of reorg?

When Ethereum hits the market.........I'll be there to pick up the pieces of all the get rich quickers who don't know anything about long term development. I missed out on the IPO but now that I think about it I'm not saddened...chup. I'll be there at the dip and support Ethereum when all others make their mistakes.
+1! I guarantee people will be picking up Etherium at levels well below the IPO price. And I will be amongst them

Much of the present IPO crop is setting themselves up for a fall. They're asking far too much money for something that starts off as vapour.
NEM, Node and plenty of other examples showed how it should be done. Ground up is a healthier way to roll.
I don't see NODE as a success. It's floundering pretty low down the Coinmarketcap list for a second generation coin. I wonder if NEM will also be a dumpfest. But folks didn't have to lay out significant amounts of money to get in on the ground floor. It was free for the very earliest. That surely does set things up for a short term dumpfest but I think they'll both have legs. I agree, they'll both have legs. Another perfect example that illustrates how it is always best to wait for the dumpfest as soon as the coin hits an exchange.

I remember this coin and the giveaway from way back in the winter!
I traded my share in the early days but I am happy to see the community saved this coin after the original dev left!
thanks! by the way, anyone knows if there are any community takeover, of a cryptocurrency, so succesful like faircoin? Perhaps can be a possible tweet if we are already the best community takeover on coinmarketcap.com Anyway i know that we are going a be the best in a whole view of the project that we are building together here There are some successful takeovers: WC, SILK... But FAIR is definitely the best one until now.... There was also Asiacoin but I agree, none of those takeovers come close to FairCoin's.

I doubt this will do much for PPC. PPC, like QRK, was great when it came out but the cryptoworld moves very fast and both of these coins have been left behind, replaced with newer and better choices.

This looks more and more like Quarkcoin.
except its called Monero. What a dumb name. It sounds like an underpowered sedan driven by senior citizens. This is an amazing comparison, and totally accurate. Actually, I believe it was used once in The Simpsons as the name of an SUV. It was either "Monero" or "Canyonero". Regardless, when anyone hears it I am sure cryptocurrencies are the last thing they think of.

The problem is that most of them are scams and the ones that aren't are overpriced. For example, I believe Etherium raised 15m. So the Etherium marketcap is already at 15m and it hasn't even launched yet. Now go look at Coinmarketcap. How many coins have a marketcap above 10m?
So you see, even though there is a chance something like Etherium will go much higher, when it is given such a high marketcap right off the bat there is a very high chance that the price will drop upon release.
Same things happen in the stock world. Look at Facebook. And now Ali Baba. I guarantee at some point people will be buying shares substantially lower than the IPO price.
Bottom line - avoid IPOs, if you are interested in the coin wait until it is launched on an exchange because more than likely you will get it at cheaper than IPO prices.

Best to just stick to coins that are freely distributed. Then if the devs prove everything is for real, you can always buy some more cheaply when it hits an exchange and everyone dumps their free stakes.

Before you guys get all excited, pls know that IBM has had hundreds of R&D projects (based on open source software) that have eventually failed. This could easy be one of those internal R&D projects that fades into obscurity.
I know, I used to work there. Their internal failure rate is fairly high. Which is why the acquire way more technology solutions than they home grow.
Very good point. I had a friend who worked there and he told me how for a while they were really into Second Life. LOL

You guys are brave to be hodling Monero when BCX has killed off multiple coins before and now he's gunning for Monero. Dude, for the love of God will you please take your schizophrenia medication!

Just read an article about this and apparently the Chinese are quite skeptical of Huobi's story.
Another Gox incoming perhaps?

Does anyone know if the Etherium guys are going to stagger their releasing of the source code? In other words, will IBM be able to make a full fork that contains all the same features?

I don't think 1 URO will ever reach the price of real 1 ton urea. And there have even been scam accusations to this coin.
I read an article outside of Bitcointalk where the author determined that this is most likely a scam. Somehow I doubt any government officials will be firing up their URO QT clients in order to trade urea, but that's just me

I was bummed that I missed the giveaway but overjoyed to be able to buy a couple of stakes on the AE for super cheap!
I can't wait to see how things progress once RSU is on a real exchange!

Great thread, I thought this sounded fishy from the start but now it all makes sense.
Will the average user profit from Supernet? Possibly. Will JL777? Most certainly.
He only really profits if the share holders profit though. His bonus structure is based on him multiplying the price by either 3x or 10x. Otherwise this is actually a massive net loss for him. So I think you got that wrong. Somehow I doubt that.

Interesting. I never heard of Aero before this thread. Will look into it.
