1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XPM GPU Miner discussion on: May 07, 2014, 04:45:37 PM
On my cards I noticed After Burner reports whatever I set it to, but if you fire up GPU-Z it shows memory is at default speed.
I found best compromise was 1200 on memory on 280x to not hurt performance, Engine at whatever you want. Mine are stable at 1140, but I've ran at 1160.

Don't know if -t 8 is needed anymore, I'm just running -ss 2 on slower CPUs

Actually, if you're stable at 1175, and you confirm in GPU-Z that memory is stock clock, try 1200 for memory, it'll be lower than stock and you'll save some power/heat.

At what speed do you run your cards (especially 280x)?

280X 1175/750 -ss 2 -t 8

hello, can I ask how did you do that?
I can set gpu engine to 1100mhz and memclock to 950mhz
or 1000/850, so maximum what i can do is 150mhz difference between engine/memclock,
when I try e.g. 1100/800, memclock will set to default.
you've got difference 425mhz
what kind of tuning SW, are you using, did you flash a bios or something, to allow this difference?

I use MSIAfterburner300Beta19, it is very large intervals settings.

My CGMiner version is 3.6.6
(Side question, what mining software is everyone using since CGMiner dropped scrypt? I had the idea this message is because I needed to upgrade CGMiner to a newer version or something)

Compile sgminer 4.1 and use it with --kernel zuikkis

Best optimized kernel I've tried yet.  You may need to tweak your clock slightly to find the sweet spot as it performs more efficiently.

https://github.com/veox/sgminer

And I believe you'll be able to specify your different settings for diff. cards in 1 miner since they split out most options for multi card... ie -I 13,12,10  or -g 1,1,2,2,2 etc.

My workers are solid at ~4MH - but middlecoin wanders from 1.5 to 4.2 mhash all over the place
http://www.middlecoin.com/reports/1KkfPxwQTsTawfuFgPxn78DuVvdJUxpcvv.html

miners are all pointed at USwest

same as mine on useast...just switched over to uswest, so much for that idea.

But why the jumping all over? It doesn't look like I'm doing any work in Middlecoin's eyes Smiley How do I know my miners aren't doing all this hashin for nothin? Tongue

useast has terrible rejects it seems, my ping isnt good to amsterdam but the payout is better there

sigh, why are things different on different servers? do the stats actually represent work you do on all servers combined? what if one user/wallet was doing work on all the different servers simultaneously? (letting work overflow through pool list in cgminer, ie not running with --failover-only) ...

Those are all the million dollar questions.

Many people having this issue now, awaiting reply from admin.  Fluctuations are at same time between affected users.  Someone mentioned maybe a new coin and it's displaying for that coin incorrectly... Valid idea.

Assuming your at default update timer of 20 seconds:
Add Indicator MACD-MA, Short 7, Long 30, Signal length 180

180 because that would be how many updates occurred in 60 minutes.

Hey there,

I bought the simple trade bot today. Now I'm trying to set it up that it will sell and buy when the EMA lines cross each other (short 7 long 30). timeframe one hour.

Is this possible, if so. how?

I would really appreciate you help.

Thx in advance

Stratum disconnect is normal when coins change.  Make sure you don't run anything newer than cgminer 3.5.0 as they added a 5 minute delay for fail-over that could lead to you mining your backup or maybe nothing for up to 5 minutes even though hash cows only dropped out for 10-20 seconds to switch coins.

I like liteguardian as my backup since it's PPS and vardiff you can get a bunch of small shares submitted and payed out immediately while hashcows is prepping work on another coin.

Hi, i've been trying to mine for a few days now, but after the stats came back, i started to get regular stratum timeouts, which completely knocks out my miner and cannot get new blocks to mine.

Is this one of those issues that will be addressed with the new stratum server?  i'll keep watching hashcows, but will wait until the service is more reliable before committing more resources.  i've only started mining, but i've already lost dozens of shares due to stratum disconnect.

Make sure you read the help page, it describes the indicators a bit.  I think best is to make use of the benchmark feature on real data to see how tweaking each indicator affects your profit.  I'm just not having luck getting any trades to occur in benchmark to offer any insight yet as to how each indicator effects the trading.

Hello Everybody.

I´m also a happy customer of your STB (0.9.0.4) Although I´m not rich until now, I like to use it.
And probably I´m not rich because I´m not using it correctly. Maybe you guys can help me a little.

@Stephan
I also have some issues with BTCChina.
If I use the all-in button, it uses the discribed 90% to buy once but then next time, when selling it just uses something minimal value, but definitly not 90%.
Second thing is, the value of the wallet is just correct, when the program starts. If I trade, it doesn´t update.
The price on BTCChina is jumping so fast and big in value sometimes, that the bot seems to be slow, can I change something to make it react faster?

Why are there 2 Bots and not 5, like the exchanges?
Can you maybe improve the "Exchange now" area a little?
It could open faster
Like having some copy&paste possibilitys
Maybe sometime the trade amount I put in could be not BTC but fiat

@all
Is here anybody, who can explain to me all those indicators like I´m 5?
Until now I didn´t changed them, because I don´t really understand what they are doing and didn´t wanted to do it wrong.

Why is in target buy and sell price the exact same value?

In the Logbook is the field "earned" in BTC/USD/EUR/CNY? or always the currency I choosed above?

Sorry to bother you with my stupid questions, obviously I´m still a newbie in this and
thank you in advance
Greg

I bought Simple Trade Bot months ago and really wanted a Benchmark feature. Upon checking the newer versions I was overjoyed to see it was now a feature.  However I cannot for the life of me get the Benchmark to product any buy or sell signals.  I've messed around using live btc-e BTC USD data from last 14 hours as well as downloaded CTF data.  After 4 hours or trying different signals and settings, I still cannot get the benchmark to show any trades.

So either it's broken in 0.9.0.5 or I'm missing some concept, I've read over the help info many times at this point.  I'd like to actually start using the bot as I've owned my copy and never really made any profit this whole time from when I would try setting it up.

Can someone please maybe provide an example of some indicators with settings that would produce a couple trades in the benchmark so I can atleast start out learning how to use this feature ?  There's no way I'm doing live with automated trading when I see many points there should be trades (many bot signals indicated in benchmark as well that didn't trigger trades either).

One thought I had, if I have an order on BTC-e for selling LTC to USD, but the bot is set to BTC/USD, does it ignore the LTC open order, or will the other currency open orders prevent the bot from doing any trading ??  Also, I wouldn't expect open orders or any type to interfere with the benchmark feature, but you never know I suppose.

If someone would be so kind to toss a couple ideas or settings to illustrate some trades in benchmark that would be great.
Example could be based on the downloadable BTCeBtcUsd60_eta22h.ctf file or this BTC-e capture from the last 14 hours http://ge.tt/5Gkvnq11/v/0?c

Thanks!

It's a pain in the ass that I can't post without posting here. For months I've hunted for the reply options on threads where I could provide some useful insight or assist someone having difficulty with crypto mining. So here's my newbie post, hope it isn't deleted and hope I can post. Because right now I have questions about a program not working properly and I don't have posting access to their thread, so it's very annoying.
