1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: December 14, 2016, 08:47:32 PM
S9 11th and R4 reappeared as sold out items on bitmain.
Next step, they will probably un-grey, prepare your coins...if you got 'em..
...or pay the draconian 4% coinbase CC fee
I pass.

Been lurking for a while now... Good news! Is this what happened in the past prior to product becoming available?

I have been out of the mining game for a while now, but wanting to get my toes wet again. It seems Bitmain offers best bang for the buck for a while now? Though, it is arguable whether a ROI is possible or not evenb with an S9 at the moment. Are 5% reasonable assumed average difficulty jumps at the moment? What are the current thoughts on getting back in the game and a possible ROI? Start off with one or two S9s, due to possible hw problems? As far as I can tell, except for a PSU there are no accessories required. Power it up with an ethernet connection and good to go?

What are the experiences out there, about 24h data volumes mining with an S9? Is it feasible to mine via TOR?

What is the consensus out there about powering an S9 on an EVGA 1300 - should be a good fit?

What are the experiences with overseas shipping costs? What are the expected shipping costs to Europe, US, Australia, Africa anybody?

Sorry for these basic questions. I did browse through the thread, but really cant be reading the whole thing, even though it is a lot shorter then the old knc thread... I appreciate any thoughts an inputs (please don't shoot me down in flames Smiley

PS: There is also a new kid on the block with a slightly more expensive rig here. The website is very slow and often times out though:
