UPD: Resolved!
Not know in details but problem with my local (ISP) DNS server. When I start bitcoind with local DNS - it fails to shutdown all time. When I change DNS to 8.8.8.8 - and start bitcoind - shutdown works ideally!
Maybe my ISP blocks something etc. I just don't have time now to explore this question. Maybe later. For now I just changed to use 8.8.8.8 in my local net and problem gone!

Hi everyone! I have problem with shutting down bitcoin core on linux platform for years with different bitcoin core versions bitcoind and bitcoin-qt hungs after shutdown it. In bitcon.conf only one line - server=1 Note that is with empty database (like 1st bitcoind run!) Here is debug.log with debug=0: ... 2019-08-31T16:29:46Z Shutdown: In progress... 2019-08-31T16:29:46Z net thread exit 2019-08-31T16:29:47Z msghand thread exit

The same configuration with bitcoin testnet shutdowns fine. Maybe someone can help me with finding where problem is ? I'm very tired with it. Thanks in advance.

UPD: Resolved. It needs to use -v 239 for testnet in bx ec-to-wif command

Hello all!
I'm trying understand HD wallets in bitcoin core implementation and got stuck. Here it is:
$ bx seed | bx mnemonic-new -l en reward awake later spot grass list peanut clog hurry guess question father leg dress only reunion horn napkin
$ echo "reward awake later spot grass list peanut clog hurry guess question father leg dress only reunion horn napkin" | bx mnemonic-to-seed | bx hd-new | bx hd-to-ec | bx ec-to-wif L1G3dzjDmkPNkrYLs2L9pTbF9BZ4XThqkXVtDxcrP887uPYRjriG
That WIF key L1G3dzjDmkPNkrYLs2L9pTbF9BZ4XThqkXVtDxcrP887uPYRjriG should be ok for sethdseed? Right?
So next: $ bitcoin-cli createwallet test { "name": "test", "warning": "" }
$ bitcoin-cli -rpcwallet=test sethdseed true L1G3dzjDmkPNkrYLs2L9pTbF9BZ4XThqkXVtDxcrP887uPYRjriG error code: -5 error message: Invalid private key
What's wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Im trying to run LBC on my new 7820X:
$ ./LBC -x Will use 8 CPUs. Testing mode. Using page 0, turning off looping. Benchmark info not found - benchmarking... 'kardashev-skylake-avx512' not found/executable.
LBC just downloaded .blf file but not kardashev-skylake-avx512.
LBC version 1.195
Any suggestions what's wrong ?

Guys, can you advice what is the best speed/price ratio from Core i5-i7 CPU family for launch LBC soft? Im going to participate and luckly it's time to upgrade my HW. Thanks.
Depends on your budget. The https://ark.intel.com/products/123767/Intel-Core-i7-7820X-X-series-Processor-11M-Cache-up-to-4_30-GHz is a nice CPU with lots of potential. Seems a 1950X Threadripper is even better. Don't go for Vega{56,64} yet - lot's of trouble - AMD guys seem to need more time to provide sane drivers. If I was to choose some MAX configuration, still in reasonable reach for the well funded individual, I'd probably go for a 1950X system with two 1080Ti GPUs - should give me 90-100 Mkeys/s now and XXXXX in the future. If you want better price/performance ratio now, at the expense of less future potential, replace the 1080Ti with 1050Ti. Rico thanks for answer. Now I'm slecting MB and CPU only. Not GPUs. But I limited myself only with 1151 socket as 2066 CPUs/MBs overload my budget and also I don't like AMD. The second step will be GPUs but it's a little later. What you say about https://ark.intel.com/ru/products/126686/Intel-Core-i7-8700-Processor-12M-Cache-up-to-4_60-GHz with MB https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B250-KRAIT-GAMING.html ? I'm not very familiar with modern HW so maybe there are better options. Any more advices ? Thanks.

Best Chains...
