1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / My 2nd GPU is ignored by the miner. on: January 01, 2018, 10:28:53 PM
Multipoolminer, claymore - they both don't see one of my two 1070Ti cards. Only one is mining.

Rig: old POS. Pentium E2150; GA-945GCMX-S2 Mobo; 2GB DDR2 RAM (possible culprit, I guess).

situation:

both cards can be seen in device manager (MSI 1070Ti Gaming)
both cards are detected by GPU-Z
individually, the cards both work - both in PCIEx16 slot (inserted without riser), and in PCIEx4 slot (with riser).
however, when both are connected, the only one detected by miner apps such as multipoolminer, claymore is the one that's connected via riser to the x4 port. And that one mines normally. The other one works (i can see the image on the monitor, for instance) but doesn't mine at all. Claymore reports 1 GPU.

Ideas? is it the old mobo, or maybe it's because I only have 2GB RAM? the MoBo's BIOS doesn't offer any options such as 4G coding. can't even flash the bios anymore because the flashing app doesn't work under x64 system.

Oh and btw - Windows 7 x64. Newest drivers (tried reinstalling them with DDU already, didn't work).

Should I try win10?

Hello,

Guys, I've been using Miningpool for a while, along with aaronsace's miner.

How does it fare vs. the relaunched nicehash?

Do you lose a lot of value on auto-convert? What is a good coin to convert to? I currently auto-convert to ETH.

Also, i've noticed that my miner relaunches every couple mins (I can see that on small dips in temperature on Afterburner - cyclic - ever couple mins there's a dip from 65 degrees to 63 degrees lasting couple seconds). Is this normal?

Guys I've made some calculations and my actual profits (3 day span) are pretty much 62% of what they should be if I were receiving the amount displayed by the miner when mining. The profits are also lower than what whattomine suggests and more in line with what I've been profiting when using Nicehash (pretty much the same $$$ per day as with nicehash a week ago, when it was still working). I've seen ~60% mentioned here before, so that's definitively another case of that.

I'm using aaronsace's miner. Multi algo + Auto exchange to BTC.

For some reason I'm also pretty much mining ZCoin 90% of the time, despite it not being a top algorithm on the mining hub page at a given time, losing to VTC, Mona and some others.

I'm pretty confused. Either there's something messed up, or I messed up. i wish someone could help me with this.

I'm switching to WinMiner for the time being, I can't seem to be able to figure this out. I love the idea of miningpoolhub but losing ~35% profits is too much.

Friends, why is my multipoolminer mining ZCoin only for Lyra2re? Why not vertcoin or monacoin? I'm bleeding profits Sad I did benchmarks. Same story on two PCs: one with 1080Ti, one with two 1060 6GBs.

Zcoin uses Lyra2z not Lyra2RE2.

Thank you! But why does it mine Lyra2z when Lyra2RE2 (VTC) is more profitable? help please... Sad
