1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer B3 Bytom Mining First review on: May 10, 2018, 02:51:13 AM

I had trouble loading a pic so i added the hyperlink to my b3.   Hash rate is all over.  I have had S-9, D-3, A-3    All looked a lot more stable than this.  I'm thinking it just getting reported on average sampling....still makes me think it has an issue.   I also expected more btm.........Anyone have a comparison?  Maybe better pool?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain Antminer X3 -- 220KH+ Cryponight - 550W on: May 09, 2018, 12:39:02 PM
did someone here say that not all coins are forking?

Confirmed forks
Monero
Sumo
IPBC
Masari
Dero
Graft
Electroneum
AEON

Any other coin other than those will get destroyed by the asics. Minimum exchanges, which means 0 liquidity, no where to dump the coins, so no money being made.

Dont understand when general public will learn the lesson.
You know they mine with it before getting to you
You know they only release to public when the associated networks find out
You know that majority of Devs will fork away

So please explain to me the logic of then going out, spending thousands of dollars on a glorified paperweight within a few weeks?

At least overspending on a GPU i can mine whatever i want except being pigeonholed by some 2nd hand Cryptonazi company like Bitmain etc.

Its a joke, and whoever buys one, guess what the joke is on you.

There are a lot of people who have cash but are dumb, that's why they spend their easy or hard earned money for such doorstoppers like cryptonight asic's.

Yup the joke is on me!!  I laughed when I walked into the bank.   I'm up over 11k on asics.     as far and my gpu rig I'll never even get close as to what I put into it.   I did take out 2 of the 1080 ti i have and put then in my pcs I run for VR.  Overall I have done pretty well with asics.   but once bad run could ruin it all.  I put my x3 on Ebay an was going to sell.....I sure would like to mine with it but doing the numbers it looks like id only get half the roi before etn forks.........I think I'd be better off selling it for 1900 and buying 1900 worth of etn.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: X3 Mining ETN - High Discarded/rejected Amount? - Low hashrate on pool? Low pay on: May 08, 2018, 09:01:28 PM
It looks like 23KH/s      your mining a 1/10 your hash rate.  Try another pool for etn.   I'm setting my x3 up today.  If i get my ps delivered!   I need to find an etn pool also
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Obelisk tech to release Miner for Decred with the DCR1 on: May 08, 2018, 05:39:34 PM
ok I spent 2 hours at the bank today.....mostly just waiting to talk with a rep.  Turns out my wire was cancelled because of a wrong account number.   Must have been a typo in Obelisk's directions because my wire transfer is exactly what is on the directions.   I'm on the fence about this one.  Should I let it go or go ahead with the purchase?  Batch 2 cost was $1679.   I do have a dragon mint b29.   Im about 50% ROI at mining from 12 Apr ( 26 Days?)  When I spend money on crypto equipment I never spend more than I can lose and immediately write off the costs.   Thats whats causing why my indecision.  The more I think about it I should probably keep mining with my $10.5 K dragon and save that 1679 for my next asic........what would you do?

I hope someone is is watching these post.  I ordered a batch 2 decred miner.  wired the money but never got a confirmation.  I email Obelisk this week and was told they have no record of my order but not to worry.  Here is the email:

Jeremy from Obelisk (hello@obelisk.tech)
To:you Details
Greetings,

Thanks for reaching out! So I doubled checked our system I do not show that we received a wire transfer for your order. Before you panic, that does not mean that is was not sent. Our bank unexpectedly closed our wire account due to attempted fraudulent use of our information. This caused a number of our transfers to not arrive correctly.

If you would check with your bank to ensure the funds were not returned to them or are not awaiting further instructions we will begin the investigation process. If they show it was successful on their end we simply need a few pieces of information to track it down.

a.) Name on the wire
b.) The order number that was included on the wire
c.) A picture or pdf of the successful wire that included a reference number. This is important as it is how our bank will be able to locate it in the system.

After I receive this information I will pass it along to the financial team for them to work on. There is no need to worry, they are very good at their job and have located every missing wire we know about.

We do apologize for the issue, it is one of the reasons we had to switch to only accepting Bitcoin as payment.

I look forward to your reply.

Could finally put to bed the whole "Dragonmint is a scam" debate... wonder if I could use Augur to bet on it 😉

Not until we see a good video review  Roll Eyes

Hi, we've received many at our Colo (minery.tech) and at Luxor (mining.luxor.tech) we have plenty of hashrate from B29s. Can confirm they are not a scam!

I got am email from DHL that my b29 has been shipped.  My issue is where do I find a pool to mine decred?  More specifically I have setup D3s, and S9s but that was following specific directions for asics to mine on asic pools.   Is there am asic pool out there for decred?

Prior of decision to buy, try to read just a few last pages of Bitmain D3 discussion thread. Those Cryptonight ASICs after the fork will be only luxuries doorstops. That is the business model of Bitmain.

what is doorstop btw?
my D-3.  I also have a set of D-3 Bookends Sad

Antminer A3 is on the way to become another useless D3, 1 week ago the A3 would make you a whopping 19K USD a month, today it is at 1K.
The more A3's they create the more your earnings go with it, but antminer will always make a profit in the process.

I bought mine at 2230 USD, now they selling at 980USD!!!!  Huh

so here is my issue.  I have a mar 15 batch I bought off Ebay for $2400.   I can cancell the sale tomorrow but I have reservations about screwing up the sellers sale....maybe I'm looking to hard at this.   What do you say ?  Cancell and get my $2400 back?  If so any better ideas on what to spend it on hardware wise?  I'm duel mining ETH and Sia.   Took me about a month to mine 500 Sia with 4 1080TI cards.   Should i stop dual mining and just mine ETH?   Thanks

yeah kano seems like a good switch imo. I have just been testing out pools and seeing what works best. Theres a lot of options out there, gotta do proper research man.
How do you like kano?  I moved from antpool to slush.  Been doing okay for my 1st 2 weeks on slush pool but the earnings have dropped way down.  Is it due to the drop in price of bitcoin?
13  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool on: January 09, 2018, 03:01:58 AM
Just to confirm, dead here too since yesterday.  Tried all 3 ports listed for Antpool and no good.  Showing "Socket connect failed: Connection refused" here but I can mine on other pools just fine.  3 emails in to 3 different addresses at Bitmain and only an autoreply saying volume is high and it might take a while.
Try mining at a pool where they'll actually help you out (and pay you more) Smiley
btw  "Socket connect failed: Connection refused"  is not a sign that a pool is down.......give your miner more time to run up.   My D3 is up within 3 minutes but my S-9 takes about 8-11 to get connected.....and you are right antpool is down.  I moved to slush.

Antpool port 3333, 443 and 25 are all dead for 3 days so far. Any idea?
go to another pool.......I contacted antpool on facebook.  Told me to use only one stratum at a time and leave the other two empty.....Im now on slushpool
15  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool on: January 09, 2018, 02:23:40 AM
has anyone experienced having their one antminer s9 alive in port 3333 in status page, and the other antminer s9 dead in all ports.... it always happens even though they both share the same internet connection and same router... is it because there is a problem with antpool's accomodation of workers?
my first antminer has a worker name of xxxx.1   and the other has worker name of xxxx.3, can anybody help me with this?  or should i set both miners to worker name xxxx.1?
I had the same problem.  I'm new to mining so i went to antpool because it was easy.  After a week my s-9 would stop hashing because all 3 pool went down.  Second week only one pool was up at a time then all went down and my s-9 was idle for a day.  I'm now on slushpool but it took a while to get my first payout. Cant say much except slushpoool has a nice gui.......i'm still looking for the most profitable pool

Just reached my payout threshold, Slush gave me a payout transaction ID, yet when I click the transaction id it says "not found"

So where the hell is my bitcoin.

Here is the transaction id....  87652306ec238f14ccdc814dec79e3add6467055f48bce565f26e487d970c117

18  Bitcoin / Mining support / S-9 Power supply on: December 24, 2017, 05:13:24 AM
Finally got my S-9 and its up and running.  I just ran a two new 20 amp circuits but my question is my bimain power supply is wired for a standard 110 volt plug.  How to I set this power supply up to run 2 phase 220?  According to the spec I can pull 1600watts at 220 but it only has 3 connections.....ground, neutral, and hot.  Thanks
