It seems it's a firmware problem not hardware problem, or it's not ? any one has some updates ?
after getting my hashing boards from warranty ive been running theme for 24 hours without any issue. im running them at 500 freq and 0 hw errors

any idea why this is happening? Doesn't make sense.... any idea why this is happening? my d3 ran for 24 hours @ 500 freq without hw errors or reboots, but still that chart looks insane and doesnt make any sense... any idea?

hi guys. yesterday i received a couple hasbords, which were sent to warranty to bitmain, so plugged the asic and after 24 hour without hw errors im getting the following hashrate chart, which i think is not normal but what do you think? any input would be highly appreciated! greetings.

Yeah but you still need to spend more money on new miners to redeem it and that sucks
or sell it on ebay for 300 bucks. i didnt get any coupon for my l3 antminers

anybody who has already sent the boards to hong kong knows the response time? i sent a couple boards last week, they were received and signed in hong kong on monday 18th and still appear as "uncollected" on my ticket... for me it took exactly two weeks. i sent the boards on friday 15th, dhl express, and received them today via fedex. you send the hashing boards to hong kong and they send them back from shenzhen, so i think they have like a zillion already fixed... === edit 3 hours and everything seems to be working ok.

Anyone alse? same problem here. hashing board #3 is full of hw errors and after two minutes working all the ooo turnt to xxx and the front led blinks in red. hashing board #2 has minor hw errors and some times it dissapears from the control panel i opened a ticket at bitmain and after upgrading the firmware and doing some tests as suggested had to sent back the two hashing boards to warranty.

Hey thanks for the fantastic firmware upgrades, they really make a big difference in keeping these profitable until there's something to mine with them lol.
I noticed something in my farm. I have 9 D3's, all on 1.12 version. And when I change the settings across the board to identical freq. and voltage, almost invariably, the 3rd hash board will get immediately more hardware faults than the other two boards. By a ton. (hundreds if not thousands in a few minutes) I'm just wondering if there may be something in the code that is treating board 3 differently than the other two voltage wise, because it seems to possibly be a deficiency in the voltage causing the escalated hardware fault levels, since as i raise them the problem goes away. This is obviously to be expected, but the disparity between the boards being so consistent is unusual.
Anyway, thanks for the work, looking forward to a stable release of v. 2.0!

d3 is the most expensive and noisy piece of trash available on the net... i have a couple, both with hashing boards 2 & 3 not working. actually i had to paid an extra 200 bucks to send 4 hashing boards to hong kong in warranty... its been two weeks and still waiting for them.

... For those waiting, if you shipped UPS into the US, there may or may not be a "Brokerage" fee for clearing customs. My power supply did not get one, the miner did ($52.12). That's 2 days of mining based on what I'm generating the last 20 hours I've had it up and mining...
nice wating for mine, marked as shipped yesterday, and ill have to pay about $350.00 for clearing customs

@blissz
are you working on a firmware update for the l3+
greetings!

im having the same problem. board #2 has a hundred hw errors per hour board #3 is full of hw errors and dies after a couple minutes working tried upgrading the firmware, as suggested by bitmain, but that didnt work so they gave permission to open the miner, remove the hashing boards and send them back to hong kong. its seems hb #3 is faulty on a lot of d3 miners. 200 dollars for the shipping, the miner was delivered on monday and still no response from bitmain

for silence and best efficiency / miner lifetime (my personal preference)
Expected hashrate: 15Mh/s to 17 Mh/s Expected power usage: 700 - 780 watt
set the frequency at "400mhz", set the voltage to "lowest". Now slowly increase the frequency until you see HW errors. When you have a few HW errors an hour you found the sweet spot set the fan speed manual somewhere between 20 - 30 percent. Chip temp should be somewhere between 75 - 80 degrees max.
hello! newbie in the forum here. first of all this is a great and awesome firmware hack, already installed and still tweaking the settings but i wonder how many hw errors per hour are a few? thanks!
