Hi Claymore,
Have observed the phenomenon happening twice, once after upgrading to v11.3 and the second which is today, 4 days after upgrading to v11.4. I am only mining Ethereum. The problem is, the Ethermine Dashboard shows miner goes down to 0Mh/s. It show miner has no activity for about 6 hours and then it start to come alive again by itself. I was not there when the Dashboard displayed miner hashrate activity goes down to 0Mh/s. I also do not have any script file to restart miner if there is a failover or computer reset. Windows 10 update is disabled. When I came back, I check the logfile for activities on the miner. The logfile does show that miner is alive, receiving new jobs from ethermine pool and mining. Good shares is increasing by the minutes. Another thing I am not sure now is whether the good shares mined are stolen, lost or have they been credited back to my ethereum wallet.
I have tried to post the Dashboard graph here but I cannot and don't know how.
Please check if it is a software bug cos it never happens on the older version before v11.3. My miner are very stable and do not crash. The only time I stop mining is to upgrade AMD drivers or Claymore software. Hope to hear your reply.

windows 10 just pushed a windows defender update and found a "virus" in claymore 11.2, didnt find anything before
i know its a false positive but something changed in last update
so another folder exclusion
Try to download from MEGA. Windows Defender found virus in ClaymoreMiner v11.2. Ignore the message and extract the files. Cuda folders and EthDcrMiner64.exe file were missing. Cannot run v11.2. Claymore Moderator please look into.

Something must have changed in the Ethermine epool. Stale shares has gone up to 25% since yesterday. Was done to about 7% on v10.5 and v10.6. Now, its all at high 25% on v10.6 and v11.0. Anyone experience the same here?

Hey guys! I'm super new to the forum, thanks for all the great help!
I just downloaded Claymore V11 and im getting a virus: Win32/CoinMiner!bit is it a false negative? I downloaded it from the main page. Just wanted to check.
Thanks again guys
Happened to me as well.. however I am not new to mining stuff, previous versions of Claymore never showed virus alert Me too. Cause AMD Wattman problem and mining rig hangup after boot. Now back to 10.6.

I have disable the auto Windows10 Pro update in the “services.msc”. But after a day or so of continuous mining, the disabled Windows Update service becomes Enabled by itself. Can anyone in the forum comment? Is this normal? How to permanently disable auto Windows Update? Thanks

Finally, made my ETH-rig stable (for more than a few hours).
The single most important thing I have learned over the past weeks/months, is that chasing the last Mh never pay off.
I have 2x RX 580 gaming X, 2x Vega56 (modded to 64) and 2x Vega64's. 580's have been stable at 30.6 all along, Vega 64 @ 44.2, but have really struggeled with the modded 56's. I think I have tried everything. Managed to get them to 44.1 for 4-6 hours, then suddely one (always the same card) had a Open CL call and needed to write a script to stop miner, disable/enable cards, restart miner etc. Just time-consuming and a lot of headace.
Now, I'm seeng higher shares reward at 225 Mh, than I ever had at 237 Mh. Waiting for my 2 new 580's arriving next week.
BTW; Claymore; excellent miner with all the options/params needed. Only thing I noticed, is that over a certain period of time, the numer of shares at nanopool is higher than the number of shares in the miner. Maybe something I'm missing.
Cheers
What 580 gpu you having? Mind to share the parameter settings for the Rx580 to hash at 30MH/s? Do you get high Stale shares? What motherboard are you using? ASRock H110 BTC+ MSI RX 580 Gaming X 8GB (Hynix) Used the BIOS from Anorak: https://anorak.tech/t/msi-rx-580-gaming-x-8gb-hynix/6917 Is there any advantage of using a BTC motherboard vs a normal motherboard? OS Windows10 Pro build 1709. I am using the Asus Maximus Hero VIII and facing PC hangup in every 36 hours of continuous mining. High Stale shares from 8 to 15%. Do you get high Stale shares? I changed to H110 after about 2 months. Had ASUS Prime Z270-A - which gave me a lot of unstability with 6 cards. H110 was almost plug&Play How do you measure stale shares? Which pool you using? I am using ethermine pool. Dashboard will display Hashrate, Valid Shares, Stale Shares, Invalid Shares. Nanopool. Can't find stale shares anywhere - even looked at the API now. Yeap. Nanopool does not show Stale shares. I find ethermine pool yield higher shares compared to Nanopool. Have you tried ethermine pool? I am thinking of moving to Biostar TP250 BTC 6gpu motherboard.

With the latest 17.12.2 Adrenalin drivers, all parameters on Afterburner 4.4.2 were grey out and not able to change GPU, MEM, Power etc settings. Can anyone in the forum comment? Tks

Hello, Temperature and fan speed are only reporting for GPU0, but I have 8 identical RX580 GPUs. Win 10, 17.12.2 and 17.2.1 tested. Here's a screen shot of what I'm seeing.. Anyone else experiencing this? Is there a fix? Thank you! You have to go to your AMD Radeon Setting/Global Setting/ and DISABLE CROSSFIRE option. Then, you will see all 8 temp and fan reported on the screen.

Does anybody know what a r9 390 hashrate is on stock settings?
30Mhash. Not affected by epoch. Thank you for fast reply. Do you think the r9 390 is more profitable than the gtx 980? I am running 2xR9 390 Asus Strix OC Gaming 8gb. Stock ( GPU Clock at 1050MHz and Memory Clock at 1500MHz) at 30MH/s. If you tune with Afterbuner, can achieve 31MH/s with 1100MHz and Memory Clock at 1500MHz. Did not try to go higher cos I want to keep temp below 75deg. Only issues with the R9 390 is temp max at about 75deg and wall power consumption is about 300W. Hashrate is definitely higher than the GTX980. What is the hashrate for GTX980? Are you running stock clocks? Also thanks for the reply. I know GTX 980 got lower hashrate in Ethash however if we consider zcash how much does r9 390 make there? Did not try mine ZCash. I mine only Ethereum. My R9 390 running at 1100MHz (stock 1050MHz) and Memory Clock at stock 1500MHz.

Have a question about the choice of motherboard for ethereum mining. I am using a normal motherboard Asus Maximus VIII Hero mining with 6xAMD GPUs. There are issues with stability like not recognizing all 6 gpu during bootup, system hangup, system reboot, high stale shares from time to time. Using Windows 10 Pro build 1790 with AMD Win10-64Bit-Crimson-ReLive-Beta-Blockchain-Workloads-Aug23 drives. My question is whether using a BTC motherboard will be more efficient and will not encount above issues during mining? Can anyone in the forum comment on this? Thanks.

I have tried mining with Claymore miner v10.2 but have being getting high stale shares of 10 to 12%. When I was using v9.8, my stale shares are only about 4%. Any advice?
Thanks
Not sure but I have hardly any stale share with v10, installed 10.2 today, so fare no stale there too. What is your rig setup? I am using Asus Maximus Hero8 with i3-6100. Corsair LPX 2x8GB RAM, 128GB M.2. ColorPower 2xRX580, 2xRX580 MSI Gaming X, 2xAsus Strix R390 OC Gaming. I also realized that I have lower than 3% stale shares if I run 4xGPU but higher than 5% stale shares on 6xGPU on v9.8 What can be the problem? How can I reduce stale shares?
