no, you must not use openjdk, you must install official java 8
Hey, It seems stable with these: root@ubuntu-s-1vcpu-1gb-sgp1-01:~# java -version java version "1.8.0_171" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_171-b11) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.171-b11, mixed mode)

Hi,
Have you tried to run C.A.T on any Rasp Pi 3 yet?
No, I tried on an ASUS tinkerboard, but did not work with the early OS. No, neither a Rasperry or a Tinkerboard would be a choice anymore for me. The idea was to use my mobile phone, notebook ... on the go, as well to turn off my desktop if not needed anymore. Just to for running C.A.T. to turn on a desktop is overkill. Raspberry would be fine, but again speed, and access from my mobile phone would be a problem. The Digital Ocean droplet I suggest in my project cost 5 US$ per month, ... that's properbly less than your power bill for your Raspberry. Look into my signature for more info Thanks for your information, I think I'll give DO Droplets a try ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

rPi3 with VNC here... I succeeded with CryptoCurrency Automatic Trader (C.A.T.) on headless server
I am glad I can announce that I succeeded to run my C.A.T. on a headless server.
You know that C.A.T. is a Java 8 program and that it interacts with a GUI. Servers do not have that!
I wanted to put my C.A.T. on a server for several reasons:
1. to save my computing power on my desktop/notebook
2. to save electricity to avoid to operate a dedicate computer including air condition
and add new features, like:
3. to access my C.A.T. via my phone
4. or general from any place with Internet
Hi, Have you tried to run C.A.T on any Rasp Pi 3 yet?

Thank you, I found it in my local store ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Just upgraded my Z400 mining rig's CPU to X5650, mining IntenseCoin at 250H/s ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

I have not had any issues using all four slots on the Z400s with GPUs. A large portion of my systems are 4x Geforce 1060 -- with one card in the bottom x16 slot and risers on the other three. As pictured: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fthumb.ibb.co%2FcvKojc%2F0316180942a_resized.jpg&t=663&c=Fq6L10VfyM03Mg) ---------- The splitters also do seem to work fine as I have a few systems with 6x 1060 or 1x 1060 / 5x 1050Ti using splitters. What splitters are you using on that system? and link to buy ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Mine are 4x GTX 1070, all 4 risers, no problems ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fimage.ibb.co%2FdfSG4c%2FIMG_6725.jpg&t=663&c=kJJtRIfYR-94kA)

On the picture only 2 1070?! You also mining with cpu, you know how much wattage with cpu only mining? Or the complete system?
I take picture when setting thing up, its not done yet. I tried cpu mining but miner(Claymore CryptoNote CPU Miner v3.9) report that the CPU(Xeon W3565) does not support AES-NI - slower mining! Mining IntenseCoin speed only 65 h/s for 8 core CPU ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) , so I mining GPU only. Not all Xeon's support the AES-NI instruction set. You will need to upgrade that CPU for mining. https://ark.intel.com/products/39721/Intel-Xeon-Processor-W3565-8M-Cache-3_20-GHz-4_80-GTs-Intel-QPIScroll to bottom, you will see it says AES NO. Ark should be your first stop whenever looking for intel processors for mining. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Thanks mate!, first lesson learned ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif)

But the 5th rack of GPU rigs is 100% done and the 2nd rack of Dell servers is 50% done. I am starting on the 6th rack of GPU rigs tomorrow. Im building rigs using HP Z400, in my country it's about 230$/pcs, xeon w3565, 12G ram, 160G HDD 10.000rpm. I using HP server PSU, so cheap on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/i/302651472969?rt=nc its about 70$ for me, riser 5$/pcs. 4x1070 for mining ETH at 130Mh/s. Just want to say thank you ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.ibb.co%2Fd0Dusn%2FIMG_6426.jpg&t=663&c=pJ7DMr-v2n-jzw) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.ibb.co%2Fk2HyJS%2FIMG_6416.jpg&t=663&c=t7FBjil1d0mx8g) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.ibb.co%2FnfHb57%2FIMG_6414.jpg&t=663&c=ueDIgoXVzjr5_w) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.ibb.co%2Fmt8usn%2FIMG_6421.jpg&t=663&c=0oCKxPou1NaG9w)

My 5th mining rack of PCs is nearly done... and soon will have two racks (24 systems) of the Dell servers running.
Probably will be another week to get the last 12 of the Dell systems going... and then starting on my 6th rack of PCs... I have enough GPUs to do close to 75% of the 6th rack.
any update man? ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
