1  Economy / Exchanges / speculation: poloniex insolvent on: June 12, 2017, 03:11:34 AM
I have been waiting for over 2 weeks for my level 3 verification from poloniex, so that I can increase my withdrawal limit. Two weeks and I have heard nothing. I have sent multiple messages through their support ticket system and have had no response. All they have to do is look at two documents that I sent to them, which should take about 5 seconds, and that's it. But 2 weeks and not a word from them.

So this has me wondering ... could poloniex be the next mtGox? Could it be they have been hacked? Could it be they are insolvent? Could it be they are dragging their feet on verification bc they don't have enough funds to cover everyone's withdrawals?

Anyone else having this problem?
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Warren Buffet advise not to buy bitcoin. Expect bitcoin price to collapse. on: December 26, 2014, 03:44:37 AM
Buffett is a great but he is not always right. By his won admission, he doesn't understand technology which is what btc ultimately is.
Just sayin'

^this

Buffett is just not the guy you turn to for evaluation of a disruptive computer technology, especially in its early stages.

If this breaks out sideways, I may die of boredom.

I find myself wondering which will come first: bubble with new ATH, or Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I want them both RIGHT NOW!!! lol. Roll Eyes

According to this,
http://www.fincen.gov/financial_institutions/msb/definitions/msb.html
you need to do at least $1000 per day to be considered a money service business.

Caveat: I am not a lawyer!  Grin

The Bitcoin address above is for your account with us, all payments to this address will be credited to your account.

According to:

Hello and welcome. It wouldn't be peer to peer trading, but coinbase is also simple to use. I am not sure how quickly they give you the btc you purchase however.

Coinbase is easy to use. However, your first purchase is limited to 10 btc and you don't get them until 4 business days after your purchase.

Once you have reached "Level 2" you get your btc instantly; however, you can't get to Level 2 until you have bought your first btc and sat on your hump for 30 days  Huh
