According to the latest report from market analyst Newzoo on World Games Market 2022, the number of gamers worldwide this year reached 3.2 billion. The massive number of gamers is said to have succeeded in earning $196.8 billion
SOURCE-- Google

gaming has a very large market, if you manage to get some then you can get a very large profit (from users and investors)

We must differentiate between the gaming industry, which represents profits in billions of cycles, and the crypto games industry, which represents part of this industry. I do not know what is the share of cryptocurrencies in it, but it is definitely not billions of dollars, and allocating a wallet for games will only be possible in cooperation with game developers so that it performs more functions than The regular wallet does what it serves as a gateway to these games.
I don't know if there are games based entirely on blockchain, but most cryptocurrencies are saying things that you cannot implement in reality AND HERE I MEAN web V3.

At the moment, there is a distinct separation between the crypto gaming industry and the gaming industry. The crypto gaming industry has approximately a 7 billion dollars market cap. But this does not mean this separation will stay this way. The gaming industry is trying to integrate blockchain and cryptocurrencies into their ecosystem but they are not able to find any use case or utilization. But I firmly believe this will change in the next couple of years.

The idea of a wallet/community that would act as a gateway to crypto gaming or games that utilize cryptocurrency sounds quite promising. Maybe I should start building the community and the gateway first.

It's good to know that you are planning to build perhaps the next of the few open source multichain wallets we know. We surely need more or them to break the closed source wallet dominance.

However, most open source project tend to struggle and some even get abandoned probably due to no funding for development or lack of interest (no funds to advertise the project/wallet, so most users may even never know about its existence)

What is your plan on over coming such hurdles, especially from the financial angel?
How will the open source non-custodial wallet tap into the popular gaming industry to profit out of it, or is yours going to be a non-profit project?

One of the most challenging parts of running an open-source project is monetization. It is hard to tackle, but I have some ideas. The wallet software can be open source, and I believe I can find some creative ways to create premium services for pay.

First, I must validate this idea with more crypto-gaming communities.

One of the ideas that came to my mind was designing the wallet from the aspect of games, not the tokens. Users will be able to activate the supported game from the list and all necessary tokens, blockchain networks, and NFTs will be enabled for that user. Instead of players to figure out which token or NFT belong which game, they will be able to interpolate which game uses which token, NTF or blockchain.

I have the base of the wallet built with React as Chrome Extension. I will be able to create some alpha versions in the next couple of months. But first I want to make sure that this is something that the end-users want.

You have a huge market for this, gaming like Gambling is a multi-billion dollar industry we know how big it became during the pandemic and it still retains the numbers, Why not create a sort of whitepaper or a model that explains your unique idea, and present this to the gaming community, creating a unique platform for a huge market is worth it, and if there are gamers that are not yet in Cryptocurrency your idea will fit them, so go for it.

Can you please when you quote include the username. Don't copy paste there is a quote button so the username will be included for reference.

Personally, gambling is not something I am very comfortable with. But people who gamble with cryptocurrency are willing to use the wallet, that would be ok. However, I am not very interested in building something tailored to that industry. Let's not forget how big a crypto gaming industry is. It has 7 billion dollars market cap and a daily volume is 600 million dollars.

I have already built a landing website. That can act as whitepaper.

Can you mention some famous games or cryptocurrency games because I think user will deposit week per week, and there are many hardware wallets that support an unlimited number of cryptocurrencies. I also believe that the number of cryptocurrencies needed by cryptocurrency gaming is limited because most of them will be tokens and not independent blockchains. every development is welcome, but sometimes it is better to build on top of open source solutions and new features than starting from scratch.

I definitely agree with you. Unfortunately, besides https://unstoppable.money, I do not see any open-source project that I can base on. And I am not very comfortable with forking https://unstoppable.money/ and they do not have a web wallet option.

(Also, I am not very comfortable with cloning someone else work)

I don't understand how can a wallet have a gaming focus, what is different from your wallet and other wallets?

And you are using the wrong term, gaming isn't the same as gambling, and gamers are not the same as gamblers. Maybe you can share some aspects of the wallet or some screenshots to make us an idea about what are you talking about. And why is this wallet focused in gambling, maybe some users want it just for trading, who knows...

Fortunately, I am not using the wrong term. There are people using cryptocurrency to gamble and there are some big products that do the job quite well.

There is a huge player base for play to earn blockchain games. Of course, there are games that are not play to earn. Instead those games integrated blockchain & cryptocurrency directly into their game. Check out this link:

This looks like a good project.

Some of the aspects of your website make me suspicious:

Where is your company located?
Who is the founder of the company?
Are there any investors involved with the project?
What is your pricing model?
Do you have all the necessary licencing to operate such a business?
Do you affiliate with any well known company or project?

How will you ensure that your wallet will connect with those apps? How different is your wallet from a multi-currency wallet? As far as I can tell, there's no difference at all. Saying that others are lacking support or now is not going to sell your product, since yours is probably the same at the beginning. Not to mention people can easily use Metamask or something similar since most dapps nowadays support it.

There is an open-source project called https://walletconnect.com. WalletConnect adapter lets your app connect apps or dapps easily and is supported by almost all major players in the industry. Implementing this will solve most of the connection problems.

At the base level, my wallet is not different than other multichain wallets. That was one of the things that discouraged me from starting this project. Why would people use my wallet when great and popular wallets can do almost the same thing? But, end-users love shortcuts and usability. If the wallet can solve a pain point of end-users, they use it.

I received some valid feedback from gamers who play blockchain games. I asked them which wallet they use, and we ended up discussing a wallet that could support some of the blockchains that are not supported by major wallets. The other feedback was that they had to use different wallets for different games. I am still trying to validate this idea with other cryptocurrency gaming communities. (That is why I am chatting with you guys in here Smiley)

If it is something that will benefit the community especially gamers then why not, Tell us first who you are what are your skills, and what are your past and present projects, The Majority of top wallets in the industry have their companies and names of their developers attached to the wallets they created.

If I am creating an open-source wallet, these are very valid questions to be answered.

I am a software engineer with 18 years of experience. I started as a system administrator and taught myself how to code. I am an expert in Python, React, and JavaScript. I strongly believe in open-source software and benefited a lot both personally and professionally. I even had some small contributions to OpenStack, but it was not big enough to be mentioned anywhere.

I could not make many contributions to the open-source community. Now I plan to change my stand on this matter and start contributing.

Currently, I have a day job as a developer in a successful startup.

I am not sure if the above experience is good enough for the community to trust me but they are good enough for me to start such a project.

Do we really need to have special wallets for gamers, musicians, divers, gravediggers, construction workers and all other professions?

According to Coinmarketcap, cryptocurrency gaming has a 7 billion market cap and 600 million dollars daily volume. This is a big market to build something for. If musicians, drivers or gravediggers have such a market cap, I will consider building something for them.

Well, there are already a few multi chain support wallets, the most popular ones being trust wallet (closed source) and Unstoppable Wallet (open source).

I am well aware of both TrustWallet & Unstoppable Wallet. Last time I checked Unstoppable Wallet, it was a small project and did not have enough support for different blockchains. But it looks like they have improved a lot. I will look into Unstoppable Wallet. I am planning to make the wallet OpenSource or maybe source available.

Don't understand when you mean when you say that you want to unify all those into the single wallet, perhaps develop a wallet integrating features of all the wallets?

All those different wallets were developed by the developer of the games. Almost all of them a standard cryptocurrency wallets. For end-users to go back and forth between different wallets is a hassle. Having all those NFTs, and cryptocurrencies in a single place is a great shortcut.

Quote
Haha, this will be a new narrative in the market to develop clone wallets, and name different use cases for them and earn money.
We don't have different bank accounts for different professions.

We have different banks for different industries. For example, there are credit unions that will act as banks for the agriculture industry. There are central banks responsible for monetary policies. Investment banks for institutional investors. I personally work with 3 different banks and have 6 different bank accounts. They all do almost the same thing but they have their own specialty.

Quote
There's no problem developing a wallet for gamers as long as the wallet is open-source and proven safe by other trusted developers.

I am planning to make the wallet code open-source.

I appreciate all of your comments on the matter. I am reading them all and taking notes.  Smiley

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate it.

What do you mean by that, the role of the wallet is to manage your wallet seed, how will it make their lives easy, automating transactions, sending at a specific time, automatic updating of the balance, or easy integration of the wallet with the payment gateway for games.

You are correct, the main feature of a wallet is managing your seed. Other features you have mentioned are quite valid features that can be implemented into this new wallet. Thx for the ideas Smiley

There is another feature some of the crypto gamers are asking is multi-chain support. Currently, crypto gamers are using different wallets while playing different games. I am planning to unify all those wallets into a single one. That will make their lives easier.

I do not know crypto gamers or how payments are made in them, but if what you are trying to develop is open source and related to Bitcoin, you can transfer your idea to board No. 12.0  (Project Development) Otherwise, what you are trying to develop has nothing to do with the Bitcoin sections.

Thank you for the heads up. I could not find a proper place to post my thread.

Hello All,

There are great wallets out there, but none specialized to crypto gamers. That is why, I am building a new wallet to make crypto gamers' lives easier. It would be helpful if you guys share any pain points about your current wallet.

Please do not hesitate to dissect the idea and dish out your opinion about this project.

Thx

maybe my power is small, I have 4 1060 6g give out 2,400 mh / s How much will it be about a day to get out of coins?

on the pool shows 58.64 GH
the miner works, and on the pool has stopped showing: (

This happened to me before. Because you only have 2400 mh / s hash power, you are not able to able finish minimum of 4094 hash. So pool is blocking your after 600 sec.

You should try lower diff rate. That will solve your problem.

In your white paper and on your web site, you have stated "Quick transactions" and "Low commission rates".

Since you are using PoW (Proof of Work), which is same system current Bitcoin network uses, how do you plan to overcome the scaling problem?

When BitcoinQuality network grows, it will be impossible to achieve "Quick transactions" and "Low commission rates". Unless you have a solution for this problem.

It seems a good idea and project.

Keep up the good work and give us a good platform to crowd start our awesome crypto currencies.

Any information regarding mining?

addnode 45.76.241.208 add

We are hanging on the block 975 or is it just me such garbage? Undecided Undecided Undecided Undecided

Unfortunately, I am having same problem. For some reason my miners are timing-out in every 10 minutes and could not find the problem.

(I have been mining without problem until 18 December 2017.)

I do not think there are enough nodes to validate transactions and wallets.

I think we need to add some full nodes to keep mining.

I have a question for anyone participated at mining pool on 94.130.109.38:

Have you guys received any payment from the pool?

I had participated in pool for more then 15 TH for 6 hours and did not received any payment.

I also urge DEVs of Bitcoinqualty to clarify this situation so we can keep participate in pool mining.

Thx

Just received the payment of 104 BTQ to my wallet.

I also would like to share the statistics:

Avg. Hash Power: 15 TH/s
Participation Time: 6 Hours
Received: 107.82399462 BTQ
