1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] www.bitpanda.com Buy/Sell ETH/BTC with Visa Mastercard Neteller Skrill on: January 29, 2018, 05:08:46 PM
I have been waiting since 22nd January for a SEPA payment of 2500 Euros to go into my Euro wallet. The transaction has been "pending" in my wallet since  24/01/2018.

Reference number:    9298469187 [EDIT: Ticket no. 139782 Payment no. 493703763455477837]

On January 24th I received an email saying:

Quote
Your order has to be manually verified by us first.
Our security department will check your EUR wallet transaction first manually and will give it free if applicable. We ask you for patience until the proof is done.

you have opened one or more double accounts and/or used an account for payments or payouts which does not belong to you or was already used by another Bitpanda account. It especially concerns your trade 493703763455477837. We are awaiting a statement from you regarding this matter. Best regards,

This did not specify what information you needed from me or where I should send it to. So on the same day I sent an email saying the following:

Quote
I am confused as to why I’ve been sent this email as I have no other BitPanda account and I have used only my own  bank account. Perhaps there is confusion because the name on my bank account is “Mr JRG Davies-Walter” whereas I signed up to Bitpanda with just Jacob Davies-Walter.

I can 100% confirm that this SEPA transaction of 2,500 Euros was made by me and the money left my account on 23 January 2018.

I trust that this issue will be resolved shortly,

Regards,

Jacob Davies-Walter

On the 25th January I received one email from Bitpanda saying "your email has been forwarded to the appropriate department" and one saying "your request has been updated".

Since then I have heard nothing from your customer service department. This SEPA payment has taken almost as long as a SEPA payment I made to Coinbase in December which was during the busiest period of buying/selling bitcoin there has ever been.

When can I expect to receive my payment? And why has it been delayed for so long when you received it almost a week ago?

Thanks for the help
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]🌱SMARTLANDS - ✅first ICO on 🚀Stellar! SLT is listed on SDEX on: January 26, 2018, 04:38:32 PM
Of the people listed under the "team" section in your website. Who is directly involved in the project?

Only two members, aside from the CEO, say they are in advisory roles to Smartlands in their LinkedIn pages and all the rest make no mention of Smartlands whatsoever.

Can someone confirm the actual number of developers who are working on the project full time?

Hi Deja, just a quick question.

You wrote this earlier in response to a question:

Quote
a currency that will be 1-1 backed with one gram of silver.

So does that mean that one LNK will be back with one gram of silver? Is it not an issue that 1 gram of silver currently = $0.53 whereas 1 LNK token = $99.97?

How can the tokens be backed when the thing backing them is worth 1/200 of their value? Or am misunderstanding this?

Also, how does this work when redeeming LNK tokens for silver? Say if I redeem 100 LNK tokens does that mean you will send me an equal value of silver, so currently that would be $9,997 (about 20kg of silver)?

Thanks!

If anyone wants to find info on the project check out their Discord:

https://discordapp.com/channels/238461749223751680/238461749223751680

They just answered my questions for the last 2 hours. Seems like a ridiculously thriving project flying under the radar. Am a bit hesitant to invest right now just because they aren't going to market until full product is released and they haven't set a date for that yet. Seems like the kind of project that will be around in 5-10 years time when most other cryptos have disappeared.

Also check their github, it's insane.

Such high quality CGI they have.

When you goolge Waltonchain this thread comes up as one of the more visible search results.  Clearly this is bad for business and it’s no surprise that people are creating first time accounts so they can have their say.  It may come as a surprise to some but a large part of the crypto community do not have bitcointalk.org accounts.  I think the OP needs to use facts to dispel people’s claims of legitimacy rather than the flaccid argument of ‘newbie’ accounts.

Disclaimer:  I am invested in Waltonchain

Threads like this are valuable and I’d encourage anyone expressing concerns about a project to post them.  I have been scammed in the past and know that many of us have experienced the same gut wrenching feeling of, ”Why didn’t I listen”, as you watch your hopes and dreams evaporate.  These threads should be a platform for healthy discussion and debate but that is not what’s happening here because, even in the face of overwhelming evidence, the OP continues to cling onto the absurdity that Waltonchain is a scam.

I won’t be posting links to support my argument that Waltonchain is legitimate because the onus is not on me to disprove the scam allegations, nor is it on a genuine company simply getting on with their business. The onus is on the OP to support his claims with evidence.  By creating fictitious motives, pointing the finger at ‘newbie’ accounts and using deflection when confronted with irrefutable evidence supporting the legitimacy of Waltonchain the OP demonstrates the extent to which his case has been overwhelmingly quashed.

It’s long overdue this thread be put to rest.  The OP has a responsibility to allow the truth to shine and I suggest he embraces it before any more damage is done to his reputation.

Please remove this thread from the forum KEIHATSU.

Nah I say leave it up, just as a kind of cursory reminder of the stupidity of man. Plus I want to see the mental gymnastics in a few weeks time when Walton releases its blockchain.

Ah man you guys are too funny.

Respect for being cautious with your investments though.

Why is it always a 'newbie'!

Walton Chain (WTC) is an elaborate scam and everyone is going to get shafted.

Where is the code/evidence of progress?
A video of people messing around with RFID and a screen allegedly showing the program <, not evidence, not proof.

Why have people been asked to lock up tokens on MyEtherwallet, what exactly is a Guardian node, how does this related to the change over to Walton's own chain, how can the chain be tested if everyone tokens are locked up, no evidence of a hard wallet, why is there a wallet with 5million tokens that is not the team or an exchange, why is there always pressure on people to buy more tokens, why so many paid shills and newbies?

This project stinks. And people have been warned.

The way you desperately cling onto your theory in the face of overwhelming evidence is very impressive. It's like taking a Creationist to the Natural History Museum. I can't tell if it's your ego that won't allow you to let go of it or if it's just plain stupidity. Either way, I commend you on your diligence.
