1  Other / Beginners & Help / Build a FPGA rig from scratch on: August 13, 2013, 06:15:52 AM
I'm a beginning electronics engineering student and I would like to know if there are any guides, tutorials, or friendly people that would help me build a FPGA Bitcoin Miner from the ground up. I want to use FPGA over ASIC because I can use it for other applications as well. Not looking to get rich off Bitcoin, but I would like to at least recoup 30% of spent capital if at all possible.

Have a begging level understanding of electronic components and that is growing every day. I have cobbled together my own PIC programmer from scratch and in the process of learning Assembly Programming to start experimenting with PIC and other Micro controllers.

In terms of resources I have much much more time then I have money being a poor college student.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated .

Cheers,
