I think this guy was asking this question on bitcoin-otc the other day. If it's anything like my seasonic, the larger connector holds more common lines (12v, 5v, 3.3v, ground), and the smaller one holds the minor lines (5v standby, -12v, -5v PWR_OK, PS_ON#). My best bet is to connect a multimeter's probeto a known ground, and start sticking the other probe in the ATX 24 pin area on the power supply. You don't want to dead short random pins with a paper clip because if you dead short the standby 5v toa ground, you're power supply will go pop, magic smoke.

You would have to look at the 24 pin plug via internet, or find who makes the PSU for EVGA in order to figure that out.
The colors you're looking for to execute the run command on the PSU are green(sometime dark green, but smaller gauge wire) and any ground off the 24pin plug.

@theSwede- Where do you see the 1/2 TH miner on their site? I was only able to view their 1 and 2TH miners. @dragonkid- In regards to your logic via consoles, it sounds like you have made your decision. Plus you can enjoy your PS4 the meantime If you are looking for more RIGHT NOW, pick up another one or two blades, and resell them when you are ready(if your funding allows after PS4 preorder). Though the difficulty rating is high, there will almost ALWAYS be newbies out there looking for a start somewhere as bitcoin picks up in popularity.

Its a good question, personally id do the blades since you can have them tomorrow vs. waiting till next year when the difficulty level is said to continue to skyrocket upward. You'd be better turning over what you can now, rather than wait for later (IMHO) Use this Link to help you decide a little better: http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/ You could also look into these guys: http://drillbitsystem.com/products.html They seem to have a good rep, and are talking delivery in the next couple months. As for speeds, just like any frequency out there- MH/s(megahashes/second>GH/s(Gigahash/second)>TH/s(Terahash/seecond) 1000GH/s= 1TH/s
|
|
|
How many blades? did you have in mind?
Personally, if you have the loot to invest in a 60GH/s miner. The first thing id look at is what is the overclocking potential of the unit.

Which driver version did you download the v6.6.1 right? Unzipped ok? (only one for win7)
Are all chipsets and other I/O drivers up to date for your system itself?
What version of win 7 are you running, home/pro, 32 or 64 bit- normal installation?
Sorry for all the questions, but other than maybe have downloaded the v6.3, these drivers should install just fine. Its strange you are getting this error. Is the system memory in good shape?
What is your system spec?

Which USB port? There have been issues in the past where certain USB3.0 ports actually are the issue. Try a standard 2.0 port and run your driver install again (assuming you haven't already).
I had a similar issue at first myself- turned out being the usb3.0 chipset itself (first gen not integrated to the PCH yet).
If you do have this installed in a 2.0 port... where did you get these erupters?
|
|
|
Are your USB erupters showing up in device manager? Should be showing as unknown device, that would be first thing to check.
-How are these erupters wired to your system?

Do you need a CPU with it?
I have a 990fx-ud5 w/a fx6100, and afew other pieces to go with it.
