Look at how TV shows are being leaked all over. This would create a market for such things. Before long Netflix will be forced to release on the platform to keep up.

From reading this , i assume the idea is that people get your coin for uploading stuff that has to be bought , like piratebay , and i get how you're gonna be able to pay them. However , lets for a second assume this is not just another scam coin , WHY would anyone want to download from this instead of ex piratebay? and why in the name of god , would people be buying this coin if it would just be constant dumping from people that uploaded stuff. I see some kind of idea here , but in my eyes this is just another scam , please give us more details.
You are getting it wrong, this is piratebay, it is torrent as you have always known it. Vtorrent adds the possibility to pay for bandwidth. Now, I know, what you are gonna say, "why would I pay for that. I never paid before". A big issue with torrents is that there is no incensitive to share. Because of this torrent sites such as piratebay are full of ads and spam, dead torrents and more. Thanks to this, there will be insensitive to share. Torrent sites can take a cut. There will be a worldwide ratio. As long as you share as much as you download you won't be paying anything. If you can't seed then a few cents that can be had via a faucet would be enough or just wait for a benovelent soul to seed for free. Streaming services could make use of this too, unlimited bandwidth at no cost. They can set up their channels and people would pay how much they want. There would be a huge insensitive to make good quality content. I am pretty sure that they would get a lot more than what they earn now and they will for once be punished for low quality content. |

Also people, since vtorrent is vaporware. Take a look at shift they are tackling the issue of day centralised storage. It is a bit different than torrents but just as good.
like sia? maybe you should advertise for LTC, bit different but also good Never quite liked LTC. Shift is much more simpler than sia. Unlike sia and more like torrents, it relies on community for seeding, only storage costs. |

Hey dev it has been at least 50 days since last update. When you release the wallet if you do, you can be sure a team of devs will fork it. Not because you are a bad dev, we all know you are good but because you are unreliable. No sane investor would invest any considerable amount of cash with such unreliable developers.

Hello dev, I have downloaded vtorrent 0.8.1 (8.1.1 isn't available) for linux and have zero active connections to the vtorrent network after an hour, how to I add a node in linux ? I am currently on linux mint 17.1 .
Also, I have an idea for your project I think is worth considering. That is to add a third party store option. Now, how does that work ? Lets say I have a torrent website , all I'd have to do to set up a store is to share a vtorrent address, this address would point to the latest ip address ( or a torrent file) of my web store which would be displayed in a window within the vtorrent client. This would be great to limit censorship, also the store being displayed within the client it would be very very easy to tip a store or pay for a product, moreover it would simplify things for less technical savvy people.
I read some of your posts and seen that you want to create an ecosystem where everything related to vtorrent can be done within the wallet. Please do consider this.

hello, I have been trying to withdraw my bitcoins from btc-e to my new phone (bought thanks to early investment in bitcoin) because my localbitcoin wallet was emptied a few days ago. ( I moved all my bitcoins to paper wallets since then and changed all my passwaords) but btc-e doesn't send any email when I ask for withdrawal. I tried changing email address today but after I change it the is a green check but when I try to withdraw again still no email verification. Can anyone help me ?

The good news is that I am learning fast and that I am recovering from stupid stuff I did when I started yesterday.

The thing is that I did not let the order page opened 10 min and from my very short experience btc-e automatically updates its order page.
|
|

I meant that I placed the order expected the exchange to be done, if there was a limit order or what so ever stoping them then btc-e should have informed me instead of letting me in front of my computer waiting for the order to be processed. Time I could have used to place another order. I lost 10 percent profit on it and if I had been informed I would have made at least 5%.
