1  Other / Off-topic / Re: Transgenders. on: January 27, 2018, 06:42:51 AM
While we’re starting to hear more stories from the transgender community, their voices were silent for so long and some people still don’t understand the challenges our transgender friends and neighbors face. They are beautiful versions of true identities, honestly crafted by themselves and shown to the world.
2  Other / Politics & Society / Re: impact of social media on: January 27, 2018, 06:40:52 AM
Information and communication technology has changed rapidly over the past 20 years with a key development being the emergence of social media.

The pace of change is accelerating. For example, the development of mobile technology has played an important role in shaping the impact of social media. Across the globe, mobile devices dominate in terms of total minutes spent online. This puts the means to connect anywhere, at any time on any device in everyone’s hands.
3  Economy / Economics / Re: dropping value on: January 27, 2018, 06:36:32 AM
Inflation is what first came into my mind when I read the words, "dropping value". As the main problem of economics, inflation is a condition where there is a general increase in prices and fall in the purchasing value of money. If not solved or controlled, the country will experience a continuous domino-fall effect in the foundation of economy.
4  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Legalization of drugs? on: January 27, 2018, 06:31:44 AM
It has been proven by the World Health Organization that marijuana has no reported bad effects to the body. This is a fact, but only MARIJUANA. Remember that some drugs like Flakka and Ecstacy has been reported to have a serious psychological and biological effect that can harm not only the users but also the innocents.
5  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is Religion slowly dying? on: January 27, 2018, 06:19:52 AM
No. Religion is becoming so intense right now people choose to kill those who contradict as a "binder" of their faith. Religion from time to time is getting too strong people are forgetting its truest purpose to build a peaceful world that believes in something that can benefit everyone through the power of unity and faith. This has been forgotten.
6  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to prepare myself for World War 3 on: January 27, 2018, 06:16:48 AM
This is a very interesting question that I haven't thought of before. The best thing to do is to be ahead of the war. Build an Emergency Supply Kit, which includes items like non-perishable food, water, a battery-powered or hand-crank radio, extra flashlights and batteries. You may want to prepare a kit for your workplace and a portable kit to keep in your car in case you are told to evacuate.
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate islam? on: January 27, 2018, 06:07:31 AM
I think there are some aspects to all religions which are frightening, but here’s one that bothers me, the holiest country to Muslims is Saudi Arabia, and the holiest cities are found there. But the behavior feels quite unholy to me and I think it’s something Islam can improve. I also don’t understand how there isn’t more public protest against the lack of freedom of religion there.
8  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: January 27, 2018, 06:00:12 AM
If it serves as a doctrine to steal, then yes, taxation is a tool for plundering/ robbery. Some politicians can access the budget and that is the start of the temptation to do the crime. Imagine that I have founded a charity organization that helps the poor. But not enough people are voluntarily contributing to my charity, so many of the poor remain hungry. I decide to solve the problem by approaching well-off people on the street, pointing a gun at them, and demanding their money. I funnel the money into my charity, and the poor are fed and clothed at last.

In this scenario, I would be called a thief. Why? The answer seems to be: because I am taking other people’s property without their consent.
9  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think about Middle East? on: January 27, 2018, 05:57:15 AM
Local people are really lazy because they can just dig a hole in their backyard and oil will come shooting out (not sure to what extent it’s true but yeah) and all the workers there are foreigners. To be honest, I think the area is: corrupt, scary, frightening, not-so-tourist-friendly and scary. I really don't know much about the place but I feel really bad about stereotyping all of them and grouping all of them under the same category.Anyways, I don't know much about the area, but guys, don't stereotype.
10  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Two Child Policy on: January 27, 2018, 05:55:11 AM
This two-child-policy implemented first by China is yes, practical, yet unethical and immoral. The way is obviously wrong as they forbid their citizens to make their own decision regarding family planning. It seems like they are the ones in control of their people's choices, having no option but not to have a child exceeding the government's desired number of children.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one is good, trading or investing? on: January 23, 2018, 05:01:04 AM
I think it is so much better to invest on something that makes you gain even without the need of effort. Money reciprocating while having some extra as a return is a great mean of gaining, and the willingness of the investor to let go of sudden urges to buy things to be able to invest first is a great job.

13  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you agree in death penalty? on: January 21, 2018, 05:06:22 AM
An eye for an eye. You take someone's life , I take yours. If you are against the death penalty, think of this question, "What if someone has done harm to your family?" I'm pretty sure your opinion would change. Everyone has a revengeful side. It is better to let court handle it rather than to let the victims carry out the sentence.
14  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is science a religion? on: January 21, 2018, 05:05:02 AM
Faith, being belief that isn’t based on evidence, is the principal vice of any religion. Well, science is not religion and it doesn’t just come down to faith. Although it has many of religion’s virtues, it has none of its vices. Science is based upon verifiable evidence. Religious faith not only lacks evidence, its independence from evidence is its pride and joy, shouted from the rooftops.
15  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to deal with stress? on: January 21, 2018, 05:03:20 AM
Think that you are the living and the voices are just the voices. You are the real thing here, and all of those things enveloping your mind are just your creation consuming you. You should not let those "abstracts" control the "real" you, instead you should be the one commanding/ moving your own mind, words and body. Stress is a creation, while you are the creator.
16  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: January 21, 2018, 04:49:23 AM
People scam to be able to acquire what they want without losing anything they value (can be in terms of time, effort, money or such). They do not want to be forced to do something to get what they need in a long period of time. Instead, they only want to get something easily even if it is illegal/ against humanity.
17  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why people are unhappy? on: January 21, 2018, 04:45:52 AM
Most people have some sense that horror (confrontation with evils we know) is different from terror (disorientation arising from evils we cannot comprehend).  We live our lives accordingly, usually staying away from people and places considered dangerous and defiling. Privileged people, by definition, find it easier to evade these territories and have “safety nets” in place to limit their descent and restore their well-being.
18  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are you in favor of same sex marriage? on: January 21, 2018, 04:43:46 AM
Sadly, I have experienced the consequences of same-sex marriage not being legal.

We queer people are fully human and fully deserving of equal human dignity and rights.

We do not deserve to be treated as second-class citizens, which is what happens when we're denied ordinary participation in civil society.
19  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Should I donate to charity? on: January 21, 2018, 03:48:13 AM
Yes, but not in the from of money. It is better to donate something that you are assured than something that can tempt the receiver. Money isn't bad, but its "universal value" can be used in too many ways, not prioritizing the real allocation. Of course, you should donate to a charity if you have extra or if you are willing too because a little amount of force can make a huge impact to a person's life.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Do bitcoin millonaires deserve their wealth? on: January 14, 2018, 08:02:55 AM
Anyone capable of grabbing opportunities and making the best out of them deserve what they have now. That person you are talking about can either be a risk-taker or a persuasive one. That is the reality of getting what you want- striving hard to get it.
