2  Bitcoin / Hardware / simple how to mine with sapphire block erupter on: September 11, 2013, 05:39:32 PM
ok so i was having alot of problems with getting this to work correctly because im on a piece of shit 5 year old laptop so what did i do?

installed .net framework
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851

installed this specific mining software
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=268933.0

the com driver from butterfly labs
http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers.aspx

and then started the program, i use slush's pool so i go there and find the mining address which is
http://api.bitcoin.cz:8332
i enter that into the gui miner

i made an account that i then use not my account name but my worker name and worker's password in the gui miner

hit start and thats it! it worked, this was a long and very annoying part of my journey to mine btc if this helped you feel free to
comment and obviously donations are apreciated in any ammount ^_^

that's interesting ive been wondering that for a while now, you seem like you know quite a bit about bitcoins so I have another question, when a block is fully mined [releasing 25 coins] does that mean that the other people have to start on a totally different block, that is if three pools are working on a block and pool #1 solves block does that set pool 2 and 3 back?

My name is cody, and I am just now starting my first bitcoin business, with the intention of opening several more. My first project is a clone of fiverr, but as you may have guessed, using bitcoins.

The name of the site is fivecoinn.com, and should be up and running within the next week. I haven't seen many attempts at this idea, and the few that I have seen haven't been maintained or followed through with. The general overview is that people can buy gigs for a fivecoinn, which is and will always be worth .05 btc. There will also be options to sell for more, and a few other ideas I have up my sleeve at the moment. I'm hoping that with proper marketing and the high demand for btc this idea can really catch on (as it has with fiverr), but it will at the very least be a great learning experience for my future business ventures. (have several ideas)

Here's a sneak peek at some of the logos I have put together in illustrator, so tell me what you think, and how you feel about fivecoinn.com!

I can make you a much better logo for .05 btc! ill send you examples within a week if your interested   Roll Eyes

15  Other / Beginners & Help / ***selling dvd**** cheap!! on: August 17, 2013, 11:54:50 PM
selling a code that when entered will give you a free movie worth 1$ but ill send you the code for .75$ which at the moment is about .0075 btc

this is really more because I want bitcoins and don't feel like asking for free money I would rather give back.
