Everyone seems to be mining DOGE. Which is amusing. It is this week's GLD, with even less point....

I think it will give all the newbies an education on what to look for in a good coin.

This is not a good coin:

Block 1-100,000: 0-1,000,000 DogeCoin Reward
Block 100,001 — 200,000: 0-500,000 DogeCoin Reward
Block 200,001 — 300,000: 0-250,000 DogeCoin Reward
Block 300,001 — 400,000: 0-125,000 DogeCoin Reward
Block 400,001 — 500,000: 0-62,500 DogeCoin Reward
Block 500,001 - 600,000: 0-31,250 DogeCoin Reward
Block 600,000+: 10,000 DogeCoin Reward

That is made for dumping junk.

It's simple; if that miner that cost you £2,800 only mines you 1 BTC before end of life and the value of 1 BTC rises to £20,000 sometime in the future, then it was worth all the effort.

For £2,800 you could buy 7.57 BTC (@369.84BTC/GBP right now).

If BTC rises to £20,000 (!) you would have £151,414.61. I think £151,414.61 is greater than £20,000.

Buying miners is for the fun, not the profit. Or you are dumb.
