1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Asus B250 with MSI RX580 help? on: March 14, 2018, 05:37:54 PM
Ok, here's my set up.
I have 3 open-air rigs each one is identical.

Hardware:
Asus B250 Mining Motherboard
8GB Ram
250GB Samsung SSD
11 MSI RX580 GPU
Windows 10 64
MSI Crimson drivers
Claymore Dual v11.5

Everything is working fine but I can only average about 18Mh/s on each card.

 I can't install Wattman.

I tried using other drivers but it will only let me use Crimson drivers and software.  In the Crimson I set it for compute away from graphics and still nothing good.

I tried AtwinFlash and it won't take.

Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong would be grateful other than slams on Asus or the GPU's.  Thanks

I'm having some problems with the B250.  I'm running three rigs with the B250, each rig is running 11 AMD 580 cards.  I can't get past 18Mh/s on each of the cards.

My system is Windows 10 64bit.  The latest Claymore.
I tried modifying the bios but it won't let me do anything.  Even something as simple as using Afterburner will only show me the temp I can't make adjustments to it.  I can't install Wattman.

Hardware
Asus b250
8gb ram
1 1300W power supply
1 1000w power supply
11 MSI Armor RX580
1 i5 processor
250gb Samsung Solid State HD

Any Help would be greatly appreciated

you can even use nvidia and amd in the same rig....

You NEED to use Nvidia P106 mining cards for more than 13 GPU's on the Asus B250 mining expert. Nvidia/AMD, Windows/Linux it doesn't matter, the Asus B250 REQUIRES the Nvidia P106 mining cards NOT 1060 for more than 13 cards. Watch this video BBT goes over his B250 mining expert 19 card setup why you need to use the P106 mining cards with more than 13 cards.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0R2OKKmCzzc

https://youtu.be/h-ZEPjoFh2I?t=259

Asus was supposedly going to release an update to bypass the requirement to be able to use 19 regular cards, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

If I am doing 16GPU rig can I set up 13 AMD in each and 3 P106?

Thank you for any assistance.

Thank you, I now need to try to find a supplier for 24 P106 cards.

On a different note... anyone knows what's up with Awesome Miner?  For some reason, my hash rate on my 1070 is screwed up but I'm afraid to reboot it cause if it's true I want that coin.  I just started playing with Awesome Miner the last few days and it's been averaging about $5.50 a day and today it went crazy.

@treanski I wish I could afford 1080TI but unfortunately, it's not in my budget for what I'm building.

I want to make sure I can use 1060 in place of the p106-100 cause I can't return them if they don't work with that motherboard.

@treanski I have the purchase order for 48 AMD RX 580 but I'm trying to figure out how to set things up now.  I need to transfer the money tomorrow but it's got me wondering how to move forward.

I have two investors and I am to make 3 full rigs with 16 GPU Each.

Do I change my order to 24 AMD (finding a reputable source for 48 of them was hard enough) and try to find a supplier to sell me 24 P106 or should I try to split things up and run the 6 TB250-BTC+ Ver. 6.x that handles 8 GPU each.. problem I'm having there is finding those Motherboards.  I can find the 13gup and the 6 GPU versions but I can only find the 8 GPU versions on the manufacturer's website no one I can find sells them.

As I add additional motherboards the cost goes up.

Also, a question, if I can get the Nvidia 1060, will that work in place of the P106 since they are essentially the same graphics cards.

Sorry for being stupid there but I don't want to screw it up.

@treanski I was just asking if 8gb of ram on the motherboard was necessary.

Since I screwed up and bought all the AMD cards and my plan was to build 3 rigs I need to figure out money

I'll have to buy additional motherboards to use all AMD cards, GPU, Power... I was looking for a few cost-cutting ideas and was curious if 8 gigs is overkill on something that basically does all its work with the GPU.  If not I will buy more ram.

That would be 4 gigs on each motherboard not 8 total between all of them.

If I wanted cheap I would just go to China and buy a fake 1080 TI for $65.  I'm not doing that and spending a lot on all of the cards.

I have not bought the motherboards yet.

Should I scrap that idea since I already have 50 RX 580 GPU?

What about running 9 Gigabyte GA-H110-D3A motherboards?

Possibly running 6 TB250-BTC+ Ver. 6.x

Can I get away with the I3 chip to save money or will I need to have a stronger chip?

What can I reduce the ram down to 4 gig on the motherboard?

For me, I'm using BIANCE and I have 13 I have my money evenly spread out in are
TRX, XVG, TNB, MANA, REQ, QSP, YOYO, XRP, XLM, VEN, IOTA, ADA, and BTC

I know some are up and some are down but I'm trying to average a minimum of 3% a day growth between all coins and I feel these are the best.

I would love to get some B3, XAUR, FLAP, COXST, and COUPE but many of those are not on BIANCE and I don't know what service to use to buy them.

Currently, XVG is up 103% in the last 24 and ADA is up 71%
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Setting up new Rigs... Questions on: December 17, 2017, 04:24:31 PM
Hi all
I've been mining for a while now but only with one GPU on my computer.

I am setting up three mining rigs with a total of 48 AMD RX 580 GPU's

What's the best OS to use and service?

Should I set up the OS with Windows or Linux?

If Linux what is the best pool service to use for this?

Thanks for any help that can be offered.

As for the rigs, I'm building the frames from Aluminum

Each rig will have 16 AMD RX 580
Two 1500W power supplies
ASUS B250 ATX Motherboard
8 gig's ram
500 gig ssd

Any advice on the rigs wold be appreciated also.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Is this some kind of Glitch in Awesome Miner? Very Strange on: December 17, 2017, 04:15:45 PM
This has to be a glitch... not possible. Anyone else have this problem?  I know it's a glitch but I don't want to restart the app it just looks soo good.

Saying daily revenue is $2,014 and monthly average $61,044 with one GPU...

Not sure how to post an image here...
