1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / MinerGate giving error opening file since yesterdays Win8.1 update. on: January 11, 2018, 07:03:04 AM
MinerGate giving error opening file since yesterdays Win8.1 update.

one day was working fine, next day it had "Updates", so I restarted it, now when I download, both in my win8.1 and in my windows 10 machines, Chrome and other browsers gives me this message:

Failed - Insufficient permissions.

I went over every google "Fix" that appeared on the google search, nothing worked?

WTF?

Does some one has a clue or can point me in the right direction?

Not even with the Malware and Virus program turned off it can download nor run.

I managed, to do one installation, and download once Minergate, after 3 hours, and it started working, the Bitdefender blocked it and erased the .exe, when that program and that url is in the EXCLUDED Tab. Before yesterday, I excluded the programs, and that was it, they were working.

All this clusterfuck since yesterdays Updates of Windows 8.1.

again, Does some one has a clue on whats happening or can point me in the right direction?

But the other questions remain.
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Payment ID must be a string string of 64 hex characters MinerGate on: January 09, 2018, 01:55:10 AM
Hi!

I'm new at this, so IDK what's the message trying to say.

This happens when I try to withdraw to my wallet. "Payment ID must be a string string of 64 hex characters minergate"

Also, is the whole Minergate System down? I cant withdraw Bitcoins and I can't login to their official site.

One last thing, does MinerGate does not permit you to withdraw to your wallet of choice, but instead to a wallet you have to create called "MultiWallet"?

At this pace, every service requiring a different wallet, I'll have around 20 of them.'' And the transferal fees will be barbaric.

Any help is appreciated.

I'm not trying to convert them to bitcoin and send to wallet, I want to withdraw to my Wallet in the same currency.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Mining with 2 Clients in one Computer, is it legal? on: January 03, 2018, 06:26:56 AM
Hey guys, I'm mining using a downloaded client, and a cloud service at the same time, the same coin, and others in each of the miners.

Is it illegal to mine with 2 clients in the same computer at the same time the same coins?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Test Rig. on: December 21, 2017, 09:55:08 AM
Hey, I have access to some parts, to do a test on mining while I wait to get an efficient one, but I don't know whether it will work or not. I'm not worrying about the profit on this one, this is only to get to know the deal until I get a new one. Which can be a month and a half two months so I want to get to know the wheel, how it is done.

So the parts I can have access to are:

Biostar MotherBoard
K8M800-M7A
Socket : 754

-------Supports AMD Athlon 64/Sempron Processors (a AMD 64 is on board, and 2 Gigs of RAM) I know the recommended is 4 but is whats inside.
Hyper Transport Technology up to 1.6G
Supports AMD Cool'nQuiet Technology
Supports BIO-Remote 2 Technology
Supports Charger Booster Technology

3 PCI Slots. -----------

From there I connect a StarTech.com PCI to PCI Express Adapter Card:

https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Express-Adapter-Card-PCI1PEX1/dp/B0037ECAM2

from there a Pci Riser Express Usb 3.0 Pcie X1 X16 V 006c

And there I'll connect an Video Geforce Gt 710 Nvidia 2gb Ddr3 Pci-e Hdmi or something more powerfull. Or before the risers, connected to the adapter a Nvidia Geforce Ddr3 2GB 64 Bit Msi.

I already have the fans and the power outlets from the Computer which has the Biostar MO, so I'm going to make a home made rig, and run it with Ubuntu, which loads and works fine in the Computer.

I'll have this running for a month, a month and a half until I get the new parts.

Will this configuration work? Where is the big flaw that I'm missing? (apart from low profit and energy consumption)

Again, this is to get something up and running fast, so if it hashes 110 kh/s or less I'm totally fine with it.

What other wild configurations can I do with this BioStar and this pieces which are in a Computer Store down my street at a very low price? (though this are the only parts I have available, the only ones I can choose are the Graphics Cards)

Which I rather buy soon before someone else does and it runs out of stock (specially the StarTech.com PCI to PCI Express Adapter Card, which they only have one left!)
