1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcing GekkoScience's new USB stick miner, the aptly-named NewPac on: June 16, 2019, 05:00:18 AM
Thanks for the response. And yes, I too saw the graph at the beginning of this thread. I was just wondering how much power peoples home mining rigs used.
2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcing GekkoScience's new USB stick miner, the aptly-named NewPac on: June 16, 2019, 03:52:01 AM
SO, now that everyone has had a chance to overclock the NewPacs, can someone tell me how many watts are needed at the 400-500mhz setting?
3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience BM1384 Project Development Discussion on: November 10, 2015, 10:15:58 AM
So, just wondering, where can i get some of these? I would be paying for them with paypal, if that's ok.
4  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: June 05, 2014, 12:05:00 AM
According to my math, you are getting around 508kh/s. I am just starting like you (got 2 ordered) and would like to know what your settings are. As well as any modifications that you may have made. And congratulations.

Sukophantes,

I don't think your Raspberry is configured correctly. You are right. For 3 Gridseed's you should get around 1100 to 1300kh/s. You may want to read a little about configuring the Pi here on the forums.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt Mining is fun for the whole family! on: May 24, 2014, 09:43:20 PM
I'm looking to build the same thing. What are the measurements of the aluminum?
7  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: My Custom Gridseed Case Build on: May 11, 2014, 09:08:37 PM
For those of you who are mining without fans, can someone tell me what the dimensions are? I am waiting on delivery and are in the process of building the case. Also, it was mentioned earlier about a breakout board for the server psu's. Could someone post a link for it? Thank you all.

I agree with incognitoworker. I plan on getting into scrypt mining with these and would like to see 12 miners per pcie plug. Please let me know if this will happen as well. I will keep watching the thread for updates.

Version 1 antminers you do. The newer version 2 come with 6 pin power connectors.
10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: January 19, 2014, 08:34:11 PM
At 21 °C room temp, I would say it's noisier than an KnC, but quieter than a typical 2+ GPU rig at full load.

Of course, changing fans may make it a little quieter.

Oh ok. Sorry. I thought there were 3 antminer s1's.

My 750 GH rig

I thought the Antminer S1 were a stand alone miner? If so, then what do you need the Raspberry Pi for? Just asking?
13  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BITMAIN Antminer support and OverClocking thread on: January 18, 2014, 02:00:53 AM
Just remember, When overclocking the antminer u1's, you need to replace some of the resistors so the main asic's can get more power. That may be the case here. The HW rate may come down if the asic's got more voltage. Just a thought.
14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: January 17, 2014, 10:44:17 PM
I have plenty of ants running 3x to a Corsair HX1050 very reliably with cool cables, pulls ~1000w at the wall.
Also running 3x to the EVGA 1300w g2, ~975w at the wall to 985w at the wall.
2x to RM850 - 760w at the wall
2x AX860i - 740w at the wall
2x AX 760i - 760w at the wall
1x CX750 - 455w at the wall to 435w at the wall

Hope this helps people.

Are any of these overclocked?

I am wondering. What is the dimensions of those hubs? I've looked and can't seem to find it. It would be really helpful. Thank you.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Overclocking antminers on: January 06, 2014, 12:40:16 AM
Search around. There are plenty of posts about overclocking the big ones (s1). You can fake your way through the small ones as well.. I am currently looking for the one about overclocking the small ones (u1). I know its here. I just can't find it. And the best way is to trial and error. I know it sucks with a $90-$100 miner, but thats how it goes.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New LTC Miner here- building a rig on: December 16, 2013, 06:23:03 PM
Hello. I too will be taking the plunge after the new year. To answer your question, first you have to decide what to mine. Mining BTC is a lost cause right now. There are too many ASIC's hitting the market now to keep up. Unless you have a big stock pile of them now, you are better to start mining other coins then exchange them for BTC. At least that  is what I have found researching over the past couple of months. As for ASIC's that mine scrypt coins, those are either a scam or way way too expensive right now when getting started. For me, I plan on making a 3-4 GPU rig and mining scrypt coins. According to my research, I will probably make around $50 a day. It will cost me about $5 a day in electricity to run. That way, if I decide that it isn't right for me, I can sell the parts and get 90% of my money back. My advice is to do ALOT of research here. Read everything, and use the search above. hances are, there was someone else asking the same question you are trying to ask. Hope this helps.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Block erupter blade question on: November 18, 2013, 05:05:48 PM
I don't know about the psu size, thought i have heard of around 80 watts per blade, but as for the network, I don't think there is a limit. SImply route them through a 12 port switch.
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's the go-to/most reliable source for BTC exchange rates? on: November 18, 2013, 05:02:10 PM
It also depends on the exchange you use as well. MtGox may say one thing, but the exchange that you use may say another. My advice, use the rate from the exchange you trust. I use Coinbase.com. The highest that i have seen is MtGox, however, people don't like them because of all the problems they have been having.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Block erupter backplane & psu on: November 18, 2013, 04:58:17 PM
They are on ebay here in the US.
The PSU is here :http://www.ebay.com/itm/Power-Supply-for-Blade-Erupter-Backplane-/181264277393?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a34315f91

The Backplane is here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-ASICMiner-Blade-Block-Erupter-Backplane-Bitcoin-/261331781129?pt=CPUs&hash=item3cd8968609

It may be cheaper then buying here. But I don't know for sure.
