Stats be misbehaving! I can see my share count increase, but my balance hasn't changed in about 48 hours. Anyone else experiencing this?

MyBadOmen, saw you mining for a while there - was cool to watch all those blocks!

Sounds obvious, but definitely only buy from established sellers on sites like localbitcoins, even if it costs a little more - it can be very difficult to get your money back.

You can get them for like .15-7 now I think.

I never thought I'd live to see them drop below 0.75 BTC

Friedcat is selling them for as low as 0.1 BTC.

0.1BTC sounds good to me! I've searched Friedcat's posts, but can't seem to find anything pointing to a place where I can order them. Anyone have a link, or is it all done via group buy on the forum?

My Pi s running at 3.1W with a 2A power supply. With two D-LINK H7 (8 port hub) and 12 block erupters, and two regular goose-neck fans (1700RPM) I'm drawing 15.1W

I've recently started trading small amounts on BTC China (https://btcchina.com/) So far, so good, and decent volume at the moment. I guess it depends a lot on whether you want to hold Yuan or not.

I just registered since I'm looking to ask a question regarding powering USB hubs, but that's better saved for the correct forum.

Thus, I'm just posting here to say hi, and hope that I can get posting privileges soon.  I have 18 erupters running, with 42 more which will be running this weekend.  I also have some BFL preorders which are delayed (who know when they'll come in).  =/

Really looking to start using RPi to farm, but then there's the USB port compatibility issue, which I don't really want to deal with.  But that's another issue altogether as well.

In any case, hello everyone.

I'm mining on Pi, and you're right to be concerned about USB issues. For starters, a single Pi it won't mine more than 12 block erupters, even if there's sufficient power in the USB hub. And even with 12 erupters, you have to power 6 first, then plug in the next six after it's booted, or the network drops out. I originally thought it was a power issue, but I'm on 2A to the Pi and it still behaves that way.

Second, and seemingly randomly, individual block erupters drop out (green light comes on) at least once every 2 hours. It only lasts for 10 seconds or so before they go back to work, but if you're like me, you don't like to see any loss in productivity.

It certainly works, but I'll be getting a Beaglebone Black for my next project - I only hear good things about it.

IMO, block erupters are overpriced even at 0.175 BTC (http://www.asicminer-shop.de/)

Drop to 0.1 and we're talking again.

Hi all!

Been lurking for a while, but I finally decided to post something (reached that tipping point). Anyway, I'm not sure how much 'a few sentences' is, but I hope this will suffice.

And maybe this too.

lol

Fanks,

Nao
