1  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: August 20, 2014, 11:18:08 AM
I'd like a loan of 0.3 BTC for 15 days. I can repay 0.55 BTC.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the biggest problem in crypto currencies? on: August 05, 2014, 10:30:51 PM
I don't have enough technical expertise to determine what is the "biggest" problem with cryptocurrency, but I do feel like a lot of Bitcoin users use the Bitcoin network without understanding basic things about the infrastructure, like mining and confirmations.
3  Economy / Currency exchange / Selling small quantities of BTC, quick and easy on: February 19, 2014, 04:25:03 AM
Hey,

I'm selling small quantities of Bitcoin. Accepting UK Bank Transfer, Barclays PingIt and PayPal. You can also use your debit or credit card securely, without giving me any details, using PayPal's "request money" feature.

E-mail me at nihilje@gmail.com

Thanks. Cheesy
4  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Want to buy £8.67 worth of Bitcoins via PingIt on: February 12, 2014, 12:48:42 AM
Even like 0.0195 BTC would do. Just urgent.

PayPal?
6  Economy / Currency exchange / Want to buy £8.67 worth of Bitcoins via PingIt on: February 12, 2014, 12:39:56 AM
As quickly as possible. Make me an offer. Looking for as close to 0.0212 BTC as possible.
7  Economy / Lending / Re: Requesting a short-term loan; 0.095 BTC (~£50) until 31st January on: January 16, 2014, 05:33:43 AM
Where in the UK are you located? If you're close enough you could drop something off to me as collateral and I'd loan you the BTC.

West Sussex, but I don't drive so it might be difficult for me to come to you to drop off collateral. I have a few portable games consoles and such though.
8  Economy / Lending / Requesting a short-term loan; 0.095 BTC (~£50) until 31st January on: January 15, 2014, 03:28:21 PM
Hey,

I'm requesting a loan of £50 (roughly 0.095 BTC at this time) until the 31st of January. I get paid £512 on the 30th, but right now I have absolutely no cash and would like some to tide me over. I don't mind paying a bit of interest as I don't have any collateral to offer. I can pay the loan back via Bitcoins or Barclays PingIt. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. I'd really appreciate it if someone can help me out here.

Thanks,
SquashJ

I'd say BTC and LTC, but I'm not much of a risk taker.

Hey,

For some reason, I can't upload my own avatar or link to one.

Any suggestions?
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't panic, China is NOT banning bitcoin on: December 05, 2013, 11:38:51 AM
How ironic it is that China worries about the financial stability of Bitcoin, and then causes instability in the Bitcoin market by making potentially ambiguous/misleading announcements.
12  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Instawallet claim process on: December 05, 2013, 10:08:19 AM
I was lucky enough to only lose about 0.01, but I'm still pretty annoyed that I didn't know about this thread until now.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this the reason Bitcoin is going down today? on: December 05, 2013, 09:54:55 AM
Yeah, there's about 15 threads about it scattered around the forum. Maybe people are panicking.
14  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trojan Wallet stealer be careful on: December 05, 2013, 09:48:03 AM
Even so, won't it be detected by mainstream anti viruses already?  Undecided

Not if the program was developed from scratch for this particular purpose (which is likely), and the developer is talented.
15  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What can I buy with .001 BTC on: December 05, 2013, 09:45:42 AM
I'd just save it and wait for the value of Bitcoin to grow. Nothing worthwhile for that amount.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A question of ethics on: November 25, 2013, 03:15:27 AM
While it's true that printing money and manufacturing coins takes a lot of resources, some have criticized Bitcoin for consuming resources unnecessarily.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what do you consider to be a shit-ton of bitcoin? on: November 24, 2013, 07:38:46 PM
With the current rate, I'd be more than happy with 100 BTC...
18  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you do with 25 bitcoins? on: November 24, 2013, 04:32:06 PM
But it depends you could also loss 25 of yours... its gambling .. but yes if you could do that, then you'll be gambling KING Cheesy

I got up to 65 BTC from 0.1 BTC before, when the total value was something like £9,500. Withdrew £300 to my bank, spend £500 on random Bitcoin services, and spent £200 giving away Steam games. Then I gambled the rest and lost it, it's not a good feeling... But life goes on.
19  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Skype account name ( bit.coin ) worth anything? on: November 24, 2013, 04:24:44 PM
I haven't seen many businesses saying "Skype us!" I tried putting my Skype link on craigslist for awhile, but phone calls/texts always heavily outnumbered it.

I wonder what percentage of usernames are primarily for spam vs personal vs internal/B2B business conferencing.

You're right, but I've seen many sites where there is no telephone number. The only methods of contact are e-mail and Skype. In that case, Skype is usually preferred by me because I can get an instant response usually.
20  Economy / Services / Re: Website design and development on: November 24, 2013, 04:11:22 PM
Can you post any examples of your previous work?

Most of my work consists of private projects that I either worked on of my own volition or with friends. However, give me some time and I'll gather together some examples.
