I'd like a loan of 0.3 BTC for 15 days. I can repay 0.55 BTC.

I don't have enough technical expertise to determine what is the "biggest" problem with cryptocurrency, but I do feel like a lot of Bitcoin users use the Bitcoin network without understanding basic things about the infrastructure, like mining and confirmations.

Hey, I'm selling small quantities of Bitcoin. Accepting UK Bank Transfer, Barclays PingIt and PayPal. You can also use your debit or credit card securely, without giving me any details, using PayPal's "request money" feature. E-mail me at nihilje@gmail.comThanks.

Even like 0.0195 BTC would do. Just urgent.

As quickly as possible. Make me an offer. Looking for as close to 0.0212 BTC as possible.

Where in the UK are you located? If you're close enough you could drop something off to me as collateral and I'd loan you the BTC.
West Sussex, but I don't drive so it might be difficult for me to come to you to drop off collateral. I have a few portable games consoles and such though.

Hey,
I'm requesting a loan of £50 (roughly 0.095 BTC at this time) until the 31st of January. I get paid £512 on the 30th, but right now I have absolutely no cash and would like some to tide me over. I don't mind paying a bit of interest as I don't have any collateral to offer. I can pay the loan back via Bitcoins or Barclays PingIt. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. I'd really appreciate it if someone can help me out here.
Thanks, SquashJ

I'd say BTC and LTC, but I'm not much of a risk taker.

Hey,
For some reason, I can't upload my own avatar or link to one.
Any suggestions?

How ironic it is that China worries about the financial stability of Bitcoin, and then causes instability in the Bitcoin market by making potentially ambiguous/misleading announcements.

I was lucky enough to only lose about 0.01, but I'm still pretty annoyed that I didn't know about this thread until now.

Yeah, there's about 15 threads about it scattered around the forum. Maybe people are panicking.

Even so, won't it be detected by mainstream anti viruses already? Not if the program was developed from scratch for this particular purpose (which is likely), and the developer is talented.

I'd just save it and wait for the value of Bitcoin to grow. Nothing worthwhile for that amount.

While it's true that printing money and manufacturing coins takes a lot of resources, some have criticized Bitcoin for consuming resources unnecessarily.

With the current rate, I'd be more than happy with 100 BTC...

But it depends you could also loss 25 of yours... its gambling .. but yes if you could do that, then you'll be gambling KING I got up to 65 BTC from 0.1 BTC before, when the total value was something like £9,500. Withdrew £300 to my bank, spend £500 on random Bitcoin services, and spent £200 giving away Steam games. Then I gambled the rest and lost it, it's not a good feeling... But life goes on.

I haven't seen many businesses saying "Skype us!" I tried putting my Skype link on craigslist for awhile, but phone calls/texts always heavily outnumbered it.
I wonder what percentage of usernames are primarily for spam vs personal vs internal/B2B business conferencing.
You're right, but I've seen many sites where there is no telephone number. The only methods of contact are e-mail and Skype. In that case, Skype is usually preferred by me because I can get an instant response usually.

Can you post any examples of your previous work?
Most of my work consists of private projects that I either worked on of my own volition or with friends. However, give me some time and I'll gather together some examples.
