1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / setting up dwarfpool with nicehash. on: January 15, 2017, 03:08:09 PM
Hello miners,

I am trying to setup dwarf pool to work when I buy hashing power from nicehash. First of all, I want to mine zcash.

I go into the nicehash pool setting and used the pool verification,
but for some reason i get strange error.

Pool host: zec-cn1.dwarfpool.com
Pool port: 3333
Pool user: t1WDxskY8fJ6bGf3UmtBkU9yquFGLeNGh2a
Pool pass: yy
Algorithm: Equihash

Resolving pool host zec-cn1.dwarfpool.com... OK
Establishing connection with proxy... OK
Establishing connection with pool 139.224.208.30:3333... Error: Read timed out

I tried with all dwarf servers e.g EUROPE, USA and still the same result.

What is causing this  Error: Read timed out

P.s Another attempt:

Pool host: zec-eu1.dwarfpool.com
Pool port: 3337
Pool user: t1WDxskY8fJ6bGf3UmtBkU9yquFGLeNGh2a
Pool pass: yy
Algorithm: Equihash

Resolving pool host zec-eu1.dwarfpool.com... OK
Establishing connection with proxy... OK
Establishing connection with pool 91.121.165.60:3337... Error: Read timed out

Guys, are you aware that the Difficulty in Jan'14 gonna be around 800 - 850 millions ..

I am not sure that we are going to make any profit. Of course this is my opinion, and you have the right not to belive me.

Hello Stephan,
I am into programming too and I believe your a honest developer. I will probably give your bot a chance, but next week.

My Plan is too start with 3 BTC.
.6 for the bot purchasing, and the rest for trading.
I will trade Btc/USD or BTC/Euro from my Bitstamp Account

Any suggestions on my strategy are welcome Wink

Thanks guys.

I though terraminer is gonna be the sh*t.. but maybe not?
55ghz for 5 btc sounded like a deal to me

So, Whats the best option to invest 5-7 BTC right now and make them back with a small profit.

Hello Guys,  Smiley

I'm new to the forum, but I have been reading about bitcoins and mining for a year.

I am planning to join a groupbuy for a teraminer with 5 BTC.

Since, its gonna be the most innovative and fast hashing device makes me think that I can at least repay back my coins with a little profit.  I am very serious about my coins and the whole business model, but I am not doing this for living. I hold a very good job as a web developer and I am doing this just for the sport... I'm a geek in general and I spent like 10 hours daily on the computer.

My question is: if we start the mining process in Jan'14 do you think that I will be able to make a small profit from my 5 coins.
