Is there a GUI Linux client coming? In Windows client I can't figure out how to generate more than one address.

A few thoughts:

ETH is a not a currency in terms of transferring and storing value (by dev's own admission). It is fuel (literally gas) for smart contracts. While bitcoin positions itself to be money, ETH is, let's say, gasoline or electricity. While I enjoy the benefits of gasoline for propelling my vehicle, and electricity for powering and heating my home, I don't trade those things for other things. They are a generic commodity I buy whenever I need it.

ETH is inflationary. Since people are OK with possibly a 2% per year rate of emission, perhaps a small bump won't be so bad, and another bump, etc. Once inflation is OK, then it's easier and easier to convince people to debase their money for "good sounding" reasons x, y, and z. It will never end.

Creator is not anonymous. If it ever becomes necessary, the powers that be squeezing VB's left nut just ever so tightly is enough to ensure his cooperation. It doesn't matter what it is they want him to do - he will sing whatever he is told in falsetto on every comm channel he is told to do so.

DAO got ~11.4 million ETH and counting. That's the org that's supposed to invest what they have for profit. The problem is - all they have is 11.4 million ETH. I don't want f-n ETH, and maybe neither does Joe Shmoe, and neither does global conglomerate X. So to have some worthwhile equity to invest I see the DAO selling their "tokens with questionable future" (AKA the ETHs) for paper with at least some short term perceived value (aka the $ dollar). Or maybe selling it for bitcoin. In any case, a wave of 11.4 million ETH is about to hit the market on or after 5/28.



TLDR: $1000 invested in ETH today will probably be $5-10 within 1-2 years.
