1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: January 26, 2023, 04:29:41 PM
ChatGPT is all the rage at the moment. I’ve seen that people are asking it to predict sporting events. Would you leave gambling decisions up to artificial intelligence? Do you see any potential drawbacks for outsourcing your bets to a software program? Has anyone here tried this yet? Do we need someone to put together a thread of ChatGPT predictions to see how accurate they are?  Any other thoughts?

It is not a good idea to rely solely on AI for making gambling decisions, as the technology is still not advanced enough to be completely accurate. There are many factors that go into predicting the outcome of a sporting event, and even the most advanced AI models cannot take all of them into account. AI models can be trained on biased data sets, which could lead to inaccurate predictions. It is always a good idea to use AI predictions as one of many pieces of information when making gambling decisions. It would be interesting to see how accurate ChatGPT predictions are, however, I do not recommend it to rely solely on AI predictions for gambling. It's always better to use multiple resources and do your own research.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 26, 2023, 03:01:01 PM
Here's some predictions for today's Copa Del Rey Matches:

VALENCIA vs ATH BILBAO

I believe the most likely scenario for this match will be the occurrence of several goals. Valencia should be in control of the game, however, Athletic Club needs to react to the defeat against Real Madrid. I should note that the two squads have several problems in the most backward sector. Thus, a very busy match is expected, with several opportunities to score.

Both Teams Score

REAL MADRID vs ATL. MADRID

I believe the most likely scenario for this match will be for both teams to score at least one goal. Real Madrid should be in control, but Atlético de Madrid has an amazing squad and should also be able to create some situations close to the opponent's area. I should note that both teams are highly motivated for coming from several consecutive victories, where they have demonstrated a good offensive flow.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from crypto influencers on: January 26, 2023, 02:52:52 PM
Stop following crypto influencers, those of you who like using YouTube videos to pick coins and tokens to invest in you need to hear this, those crypto influencers on YouTube are getting paid to promote those projects they are chilling, why would they promise you 2x or 5x when they aren't part of the team themselves? They did this because that's how they make their own money. He who have hears let him hear.

You should always be aware of the risks associated with investing in crypto projects, as they are highly speculative and the market is often subject to significant volatility. Besides, we should always approach any promotion with skepticism. Many crypto influencers are normally paid to promote certain projects, and their recommendations may not be based on objective research or analysis. Moreover, these influencers do not have a deep understanding of the underlying technology or the team behind the project, and their main goal is to promote projects to earn money.

Additionally, it is important to note that no one can predict the future of any crypto project and no one can guarantee any return on investment. It is important to be aware of the risks and not invest more than you can afford to lose. It is also important to be critical of the information you find online and to look for unbiased sources of information.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: We lose on the long run through return percentage on: January 26, 2023, 01:45:27 PM

I just googled the return percentage of online casinos and saw different percentages that doesn't seem real. A slot machine can be written to pay out 98%, but its programmed to pay 90% and it's publicized that way to attract more people to play using that slot. Though one slot could be paying out that amount in the casino, yet my point is that no casino offers 100 percent payout that means if a slot pays out 94 percent for every 100 dollar bill spent on that machine the player losses 6$ to the casino. That is if you play longer times you'll lose, and we can almost never stay atop of the slot machines after long period of plays, unless you win a jackpot. Even if you win a huge amount, you can lose. They are numerous stories of people who won the jackpot and ended up spending the whole money back on the casino within a short period, 1 or 2 years, they lost the jackpot.

Isn't it?

Inspired by Jean Scott - Frugal Gambler

The return percentage, also known as the payout percentage or return to player (RTP) percentage, is a measure of how much money an online casino pays out to players as compared to the total amount of money that players wager. It is typically expressed as a percentage, with a higher percentage indicating a higher payout rate. Online casinos will typically advertise their RTP percentages, but it's important to note that these percentages can be misleading. The RTP percentages that you see advertised on an online casino's website are often the theoretical payout percentage, which is calculated over many spins or hands and is not representative of the payout percentage of any individual player.

Additionally, the RTP percentage can vary from game to game and from casino to casino. Some casinos may have a lower RTP percentage for certain games, while others may have a higher RTP percentage for the same games. It's also important to be aware that some casinos may not be entirely honest about their RTP percentages, so it's important to do your own research and read reviews from reputable sources before depositing any money. It's also worth noting that online casinos are not a get-rich-quick scheme and even if the RTP is high, it's not a guarantee that you will win.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: German Bundesliga Season 22/23 - Discussion & Prediction Thread on: January 26, 2023, 01:02:31 PM
I'll leave my tips for some of today's games:

MAINZ 05 vs DORTMUND

I believe the most likely scenario for this match will be for both teams to score at least one goal. I expect to see a very balanced match. Even so, the two squads usually go for the attacking strategy, where goal opportunities arise quite easily. I should note that the market Both team Score was the winner in the last two matches played by Mainz and in four of the last six official matches for Dortmund. Thus, a very open match is expected, with goal situations on both sides.

Both Teams Score

FREIBURG vs FRANKFURT

I believe the most likely scenario for this match will be the existence of several goals. In addition to the Eintracht Frankfurt team presenting better arguments, both individual and collective, for this game, Freiburg is going through a very good phase at the offensive level in home matches. Having that said, I believe risking in favor of the Above 2.5 Goals is a good option.

Above 2.5 Goals

Down to the Final Results:

MAINZ 05 1 vs DORTMUND 2

Both Teams Score

WIN

FREIBURG 1 vs FRANKFURT 1

Above 2.5 Goals

LOSS

Unfortunately, I wasn't too lucky with my tips for the 25th of January. Got half right and half wrong, but the odds did not helped me and ended up not recovering the initial investment.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to profit from altcoins collapses? on: January 26, 2023, 12:56:43 PM
Is it possible to profit from collapses of altcoins? Do you have any ideas how to?

Yes, it is possible to profit from the collapse of altcoins, but it requires a high level of risk tolerance and a thorough understanding of the market. One strategy is to short-sell the altcoin, which means borrowing shares of the coin and selling them with the hope that the price will decrease, allowing you to buy the shares back at a lower price and return them to the lender while keeping the difference as profit. However, the downside of this strategy is that if the price of the coin increases, you will incur a loss.
Another strategy is to hold Bitcoin instead of altcoins, as it is known as a haven asset in crypto market during market downturns and market crisis, where people tend to move their assets to Bitcoin instead of other altcoins.

7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eredivisie 22/23 - discussion thread on: January 26, 2023, 11:20:57 AM
My tips for the day!

VITESSE vs TWENTE

Vitesse has to press and attack hard in this round while the visiting team must score strongly on the pitch. Due to that I expect a very closed game, so I believe that there will be no more than 2.5 goals.

Under 2,5 goals

GO AHEAD vs AZ

Go Ahead will try to leave the field with the 3 points. The visiting team wants to surprise its opponent in this round. The tendency is to have a busy game between the 2 teams, so we bet that both squds score goals.

Both Teams Score

Now, down to the results:

VITESSE 2 vs TWENTE 2

Under 2,5 goals

LOSS

GO AHEAD 1 vs AZ 4

Both Teams Score

WIN

This turn I wasn't so lucky with these two and lost half of the initial investment. Vitesse vs Twente screwed me over... Hope you guys made some earnings with these games.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 26, 2023, 11:15:41 AM
Today's Copa Del Rey Tip!

BARCELONA vs REAL SOCIEDAD

I believe the most likely scenario for this match will be for both teams to score at least one goal. A match controlled by Barcelona is expected, however, Real Sociedad also has good players and should be able to create some dangerous situations. That said, my guess is that risking in favor of Both teams Score in this game is a good option.

Both teams Score

So here's for the final result:

BARCELONA 1 vs REAL SOCIEDAD 0

Both teams Score

LOSS

This was a well disputed match. Unfortunately I've missed this one, but I believe some of you must have made some cash. Both teams fought to score but very few opportunities were met. All in all Barcelona was happier as it ended up having its way and winning the match without suffering any goal.
9  Economy / Gambling / Re: Positive Gambling Quotes for 2023! on: January 26, 2023, 10:35:29 AM
I searched on Google and found many interesting quotes, however, this one caught my attention, because it is simple, short and it is something I believe we all can agree on. I am leaving the name of webpage where I found this quote, in case any of you want to check it out.

Quote
"This was my first lesson about gambling: if you see somebody winning all the time, he isn't gambling, he's cheating. ” – MALCOLM X

 Source: notable-quotes

Malcom always had some pretty good quotes. This quote basically highlights the importance of understanding the difference between gambling and cheating. Gambling involves taking a risk in the hope of winning a prize or payout, while cheating involves breaking the rules or using deception to gain an unfair advantage. It's important to be aware of the possibility of cheating in any gambling situation, whether it's in a physical casino or online. One way to protect yourself is by playing at reputable and licensed gambling venues, which are subject to strict regulations and oversight. Additionally, it's important to understand the rules and payouts of any game you're playing, and to be aware of any unusual or suspicious behavior.

It's also worth noting that, gambling can be addictive and can lead to financial problems if not controlled. It's important to gamble responsibly and not to chase losses. In any case, Malcolm X's quote serves as a reminder to be vigilant and aware when gambling and to be aware that not all gambling systems are fair and transparent.
10  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Amazing Gambling-DeFi System on: January 26, 2023, 10:11:11 AM
I would advise caution when considering investing in or participating in any gambling or "defi" system, especially one that is advertised in such a manner. It is important to research any investment opportunity and understand the risks involved before committing any funds. It is important to note that gambling is illegal in some countries, and even in places where it is legal, it can be highly addictive and can lead to financial problems.
Additionally, the description you provided for this "Endblock" system raises several red flags. For example, the claim that it is the "pioneering collective reverse betting system that marks the inception of gambling" is highly suspect, and the lack of information about the team or company behind the project is also concerning.

The idea of a "smart contract" and "blockchain system" ensuring "100% transparency and automation" is also a common rhetoric used by scam projects it's not enough to prove the legitimacy of a project.

It's also worth noting that the use of a referral system and the notion that you need to be referred to participate in the stake is a classic Ponzi scheme indicator.

I strongly advise that you do not invest in this or any other investment opportunity without thoroughly researching it first, and consulting with a financial professional if you have any doubts or questions.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Aptos pumping ? on: January 26, 2023, 10:00:38 AM
Okay, I know that the founders are pretty clever and accomplished, but you could say that of
just about every Layer 1 project. Why is Aptos special ? What does it bring to the space that other
L1 projects can not offer ? We already have too many of these, all of them run by geniuses, all of them
with ground-breaking technologies, and I don't see any of them pumping the way Aptos is ? Or is it because this
project is new or something ? Frankly I don't get why Aptos is so important, but I'm open minded, and
willing to listen.

I guess I should note that in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space, there are many projects with similar technology and goals, and it can be challenging for new projects to stand out and gain traction. It's also worth noting that the cryptocurrency market is highly speculative and price movements may not always reflect the underlying technology or fundamentals of a project. Some projects may see sudden price increases due to market speculation or hype, rather than any fundamental developments or advancements in their technology. IMO, Aptos is just one more project among hundreds of projects that basically promise more of the same.

Having that said, it's always a good idea to do your own research before investing in any cryptocurrency project. This includes understanding the project's technology, its team, its community, and its overall potential.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UK fines online casino for only asking KYC from winning gamblers on: January 25, 2023, 10:57:58 PM
One fairly common complain among gamblers is they are allowed to make a deposit at casinos and lose their money without any issue, but if they happen to win and they want to make a withdrawal then they are hit with a KYC request almost immediately, Tonybet a fiat Estonian casino was fined more than 400,000 pounds for this practice and it seems the regulators are now interested in making reforms to the laws and force casinos to also make checks on those gamblers which have lost a lot of money.

If those new regulations are passed they will affect not only fiat casinos but cryptocurrency casinos will have to eventually follow them as well, do you agree with this idea? Would you like to see casinos to be fined more often for the practice of only asking for personal information from winning gamblers or do you think this will have a harmful effect on their finances?

Source: https://www.theguardian.com/society/2023/jan/18/tonybet-fined-regulator-online-betting-id-checks-terms

This was very predictable. If you think about it, kyc is not only to know your customer but as it is to control the Casino itself. In this case, they were only doing KYC to customers trying to withdraw so, with this they would only declare what they were losing and not what they were earning. reason for this is that if a gambler does not try to withdraw he will not be asked for kyc so they will not count with the losing players who actually are the ones giving profits to the casino.

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will not become the world currency. on: January 25, 2023, 10:51:33 AM
I guess that we can already consider that Bitcoin is in fact a World currency. Bitcoin can be used pretty much anywhere. Anyone can use it, and there is no dependency on banks or other third parties. One can travel around the world just using Bitcoin, so it means that this is in fact a currency that goes far beyond any other fiat currency.

Now, you can say that legally, Bitcoin will never become an accepted and regulated international currency, but the fact is that Bitcoin is an alternative to the fiat system and as an alternative it already made its way to be accepted as a World currency anyway.
17  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: January 24, 2023, 06:35:30 PM
I actually do not like to gamble over the phone. I've always preferred to gamble over the computer as the features on the desktop versions are much more complete. Besides, its a lot more comfortable to be playing out of my favourite chair than in any other place. Due to that, I only use the mobile version if im not home.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs CBDC - Print your own stickers on: January 24, 2023, 06:28:52 PM
Governments and countries around the world are working hard to implement CBDC as fast as they can and they are getting serious about it.
I won't name all individual examples but I will post one website who is keeping track of all worldwide news and status for most countries.
There is currently WEF forum in Davos and they are advertising CBDC currencies that are going to be protected by Interpol, and in same time they announce catastrophic cyber attack, removal of cash payments, and concern about Bitcoin Roll Eyes

One website for tracking CBDC projects is called Cbdctracker and it is showing world map of countries with more information:

 https://cbdctracker.org/

One more CBDC tracker posted by tbct_mt2:
https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/cbdctracker/

What can you do about this?
You can write your local politicians, complain, call them, visit them and demand from them to stop working on CBDC crap.
I also found interesting project called @NoCBDC that created cool stickers that are pro Bitcoin and anti-CBDC in the same time.
You can print out this stickers, share them in your local areas, send them to friends and spread the word while we have time, or you will wake up in nightmare scenario one day.

Bitcoin vs CBDC - What should digital money look like?
https://bitcoin.rocks/bitcoin-vs-cbdc

Print or make your own stickers and follow @NoCBDC on twitter:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/rr5jea5n35fqybl/%40NOCBDC%20sticker%20sheet.pdf?dl=0

Off course that theWEF would be the most inetrested in implementing CBDCs. The WEF is humanity's worst enemy as they are trying to get everyone slave before 2030. CbDC are just a move for them to stay in control. All they want is to have their hands on everything. Remember what they want for you is "You will own nothing and you'll be happy" I guess this says it all. Fuck the WEF.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its safe to say Bitcoin has recovered all it's losses since the FTX collapse? on: January 24, 2023, 06:18:58 PM
It seems that people are now getting used to Bitcoin market behaviour, now people are understanding that Bitcoin cycle is 4 years. Imagine if the FTX collapse happen in 2017, I believe the impact will be more drastical compare to today, now I can boldly say that Bitcoin has now recovered all it's losses since the FTX collapsed, is this safe to say?

I never expected the fast recovery that's why I said the world is finally understanding why Bitcoin is a necessity in every one's life, am I saying too much? Or you think I am right?

The FTX bloat will affect the industry for years to come. The same way MT Gox affected the Bitcoin industry for years, FTX will become a shadow that will follow cryptocurrency for years.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we end the *VOLATILITY OF BITCOIN* on: January 24, 2023, 02:49:21 PM
The volatility of bitcoin won't end anytime, I think we have to give more time for more people to appreciate bitcoin and use it in daily business transactions. At the moment, I believe some form of regulation can help make things pretty much more stable than we have at the moment otherwise we shall experience more issues with volatility. The high price volatility of Bitcoin and other decentralized cryptocurrencies will never evaporate. On the perverse, if the expense of cryptocurrency will improve, the volatility will only boost, as the expense spectrum will develop.
As long as the price of cryptocurrency will depend on supply and demand, the high price volatility of cryptocurrency will remain. Still think the ETF funds can solve this problem, or at least will lessen the volatility of Bitcoin. The more control of the market, the less volatility it will be, now we still don't have any rule or laws to govern this market,.

Volatility is one of the main characteristics of Bitcoin. Its price is set by offer and demand so there is no fixed price for it. And thats basically the beauty of it imo.

I believe that bitcoin will only see ots volatility going down once all coins have been mined. In the meantime, volatility will be a constant, so we should enjoy its volatility and speculate...
