Thank you very much sir, I wasted a lot of time mucking with the syntax as I'm a JSON newbie and thought the error with my syntax. Would help to document that tidbit  There are lots of 'optional' parameters in the API, how would I omit a numeric value? What about other string values or would they all be covered by the *? Hi,
I want to poll the Bitcoin Core wallet for new transactions. These transactions can belong to various accounts, ie the addresses have labels. How do I pass appropriate JSON in to select all transactions from all accounts. The spec says that the "listtransactions" call takes [account] as an optional parameter. However, when I pass "", I get the base wallet address and none of the transactions for the labeled addresses. I cannot seem to omit this parameter and just set the [count] or [skip] parameters as I am constantly getting an error.
I'm doing this in c++ although I'm not sure that language makes any difference. What is the required string format for the command omitting the account parameter.

gives transactions for the base account only. I want all accounts.

omitting the first parameter causes a server error with a HTTP status code of 500 and an error message of...

So if listtransactions expects a string as the first parameter, and "" specifies the unnamed wallet account, how do I specify all accounts including the named ones.

Unlike correspondence chess where the state of the game is visible at all times, with poker, the state would need to be maintained on a server somewhere, and with 1 hand taking potentially a week, you'd be dependent on the server maintaining and not losing this information even during system updates. I guess the state of the game would be stored in a database. How would this be raked? As normal or at a higher fee? Is there a real market for this? The client would need to be browser based cos it's generally poker on the move?

@TheVault, while it's good that it is signed, you should have sha1 sums or even md5 sums of the installation package. Maybe include all the usual hash functions, crc32, md5, sha1, sha-256. The geeks will now how to verify that.
Well it's digitally signed with a code signing certificate which is the standard way to do such things on windows when using windows installer. On download windows will display a proper company name as the publisher rather than 'unknown' and you can right click the package and see the signature certificate in the properties. It's all standard functionality on windows no need for anything bespoke. There's at least 5 free rolls on this evening US time. The larger .05 freeroll is not on tonight but will come back soon.

just gave it a try and was not able to play anything because there are 0 player but software looks nice.
You can play on the Training tables if you like to try out the various games, not much of a challenge for a serious player though and its play chips only. There will be freerolls from 8pm ET tonight. If you are in Europe then there will be earlier freerolls in the coming weeks, just need to wait for Euro traffic to pick up. I'm occasionally on the tables myself but am a complete fish An upcoming s/w release will display lobby chat alerts on the main lobby so you can ask for a game in there and it will notify people logged in of someone looking for opponents. Ok, I registered again Now it says online, but network still says poor for everything, but like I said, it works. No freerolls? I wanted to check some freerolls but I don't see them(atm I'm without of bitcoin to invest in the room) There's a NL freeroll tonight at 7.30pm ET. The freerolls were off for a couple of days in advance of a software upgrade but I hate to disappoint new players so there's another tonight. There will be a regular schedule starting next week. Is there a version to play without Dow loading, or on an android phone?
Currently its PC download only. Mobile in the works but not soon. TheVault |

I have a problem up here.
I installed, made a new account, login, but fails login.
I upgraded to the newer version and still doesn't login.
I thinked it was maybe the wrong password but not even the recover worked.
It keep saying offline everywhere, any server it could connect just fails... is it me or what?
Edit: it says "poor 0%" for every server up there.
The Poker Network Status dialog should say Very Good for most if not all servers..  The lobby will display a green 'Online' status button when connected.  You may have been experiencing INet issues. In any case, a software issue has appeared over the last few days. Since moving out of testing and into a live environment, there is a tendency for players to stayed logged in for long periods, sometimes for multiple days. If there is a software upgrade, an already running client will reconnect automatically to the servers once the s/w upgrade has completed, but because they are not re-running the client, the check for client updates on startup is not carried out. Hence, an out of date client can still connect to the servers. With any change in protocol, this can cause problems in the server, and this has happened a couple of times. The next client s/w upgrade will perform a sync with the server on connection/reconnection and will exit if there has been a server upgrade. Running the client again will pick up the new updated software. I believe this may have caused the issue you experienced. The servers are now running normally, so please try again to log in. You may need to recreate the account as the server has no record of a user id of FanEagle if that is what you used. Probably the server was offline all the time. Offline status is displayed as a red Offline button on the lobby. TheVault |

Ideal would be a sticky topic with various screenshots where people at a glance could check out the look of a site without having to scroll through posts A Note on the Nightly FreerollsSome players are entering the freerolls but not playing a hand and not being logged in at all while they are running. Given that the freerolls are relatively deep stack (2000 chips) and with a slow 10 minute clock, its is possible to last a long time just sitting out. Indeed some people have cashed while sitting out for the entire tournament. Winnings to date will be honoured, but from today onwards, if a player doesn't participate actively in the freeroll then they will not be eligible for a payout. What constitutes active participation is open to debate but to date players either don't show up at all or else play from the beginning. All games are logged so it's possible to see quickly the level of participation. I will be fair on this. Regular tournaments are unaffected as once a player has paid the buy in they are entitled to play as they please, but sitting out to cash is against the spirit of freerolls. Maybe the structure needs to be changed with antes coming in earlier and with a shorter clock, but the idea is to provide a good tournament with plenty of play, and give people a chance to build a bankroll while trying out the software. I'm not sure what the general solution is to this type of activity. Feedback welcome More promotions will be coming soon... The Vault |

Just a quick reminder that the nightly freeroll is starting in a couple of hours, 7.30pm ET. Try it out if you haven't already. Wow, that looks really nice. Maybe you could add some more screenshots to the first post to show off how good the software looks? When I read your previous thread I was completely surprised after downloading the client. It wasn't at all what I was expecting. I honestly almost didn't even bother checking it out assuming it was another basic Poker Mavens site. And maybe list some of the features that make your site different/better like: - Re-sizeable tables
- Preferred seating
- Customizable table/card colors
- Late registration
- Synchronized breaks
- Tournament lobbies
- Lightning fast software
- Chinese Poker
Maybe it was me being naive but I thought that pretty much all poker clients would have the above features and that these features are nothing to trumpet about. The capabilities of the client are described in some detail on the website already under the SOFTWARE menu. The website could do with some more up to date client snapshots and these will go in over the next few days. Thx for the feedback There will also be a software upgrade in the next couple of days. These are generally unannounced as the process only takes minutes but a quiet time will be selected for this. The Open Face Chinese tables seem to be getting some action. Please spread the word around that these games are available here |
