1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: June 14, 2018, 06:22:47 PM
Does anybody have an issue with the appearance of CN-lite coins?  I cannot get any to show regardless of which statistics provider I choose or if I manually add the JSON.
Can you check if these are made visible via the Options dialog, Algorithms section. I had a number of them hidden by default, but from now on I will make them visible by default.

I have all coins enabled in the algorithms section and I still do not have any CN-lite coins appearing.  They were showing in the past, but I had a system crash and had to reinstall and used a previous configuration file, which is why I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same issues before jumping to any conclusions.  It may be an issue on my end, but I would like any help.

Good Morning!

Not sure if the latest Dev version broke this or it's just a lot more snappier and now it's a problem,

I use the "execute batch commands" feature to run a script after a miner stops.  Previously there was no issues and my script was able to complete before another mining instance was set up, but now it can't.  I've even tried to preemptively terminate the awesome miner agent and run it before it can start a mining instance, and surprisingly, it is really fast and still launches one!.  Or perhaps it's slower at executing the script now?  In any case, can we get a delay feature?  I thought that's what the delay auto start might do, but that seems to only apply to reboots (or did it apply to resets and switching before? I can't recall...)

Just wanted to toss another request in, I asked a few days ago but it looks like it might have gotten buried.

Can an option in the 'detect pool' rule be added to only check the 'current pool' rather than 'all pools'?

Can we also get a detect (current) algorithm rule?

Thanks!

Want to thank you guys for the support you've given in the past! The small things and the constant updates really make this a great product.  I got another request I hope you can take a quick look at! :3

Issue: I need more rules!

Background: I have a script that will turn on/off a HS110 smart plug.  I use it as a wattmeter as well as a watchdog.  I also have a script that will remotely reset my video cards.  The purpose is to monitor my system for freezes as well as the well known vega hash drop issue.  This wasn't a problem for multiple cryptonight pools until the recent number of forks.  Now I can't just use one rule that says 'compare **all** pools of a miner with URL' and statistics hash rate average, because the different coins (pools) I mine now use different algos - and different hash rates.  I suppose this would have always been an issue if i mined other coin algo's (pools) in the past, but I didn't and now it is an issue.  On another note, what's the logic behind comparing all pools?

What I Expected the Feature to do or What I'd like to see: Since I always mined one algo, I only put one pool address and used it as a 'current pool' not knowing that it was 'all pools' - it worked as intended up to now. Instead of comparing all pools of a miner with URL, is it possible add a feature to compare the current pool of a miner with a URL?  Alternately, would it be possible to add a new rule: 'Detect Algorithm'?  Either of these rules would easily allow me to continue to use the rule layout I had previously.

Thanks!

BUG: Not sure what causes it, but sometimes the Awesome Miner Remote Agent randomly toggles the 'Automatically start when windows starts' option.

FEATURE REQUEST: If the Awesome Miner Remote Agent application is running, don't run another instance (and by extension, another duplicate mining instance).

The issue this comes from is that I have a script set to run various tools and other monitoring software prior to launching the Awesome Miner Remote Agent.  With both of the above issues, the Agent would launch preemptively, as well as twice.  This wasn't related to any software updates, and would sometimes re-enable itself right after I turned auto-launching off and rebooted the computer, but other times it would stay off.  The frequency of this occurring was directly proportional to how likely it was for me to walk out the door. /s

Anyone know if you can have a miner run as a scheduled task when the computer boots in windows 10 with the task scheduler?
not sure what miner you have.. but if you go to start.. then run.. type in shell:startup it will open a window.. if you put a shortcut in there.. to say start.bat from multipoolminer. it will run when the pc starts.
MultiPoolMiner is what I am trying to run on boot. The reason I am not doing the startup folder method is because I think those are only run after the user logs in and the task scheduler is able to run something without user logging in.
My computer rebooted the other night and was setting at the login screen without running the miner causing me to lose some time mining.

you can autologin btw.
I don't want to auto login unless you can make the computer stay locked.

if its a rig (not a computer you are using) remove the monitor and use a dummy plug
For now it is a computer I sometimes use.
I'm a little late to the party, but you can use task scheduler to auto run your miner like the person above suggested.  You can configure your system to automatically login; there are various ways but if your running windows 10 then the easiest is to use the 'Netplwiz' command and disable 'Users must enter password' box.  If you want to ensure your system locks for security, you can then go to the screensaver settings and enable the option to require a login after 1 minute of inactivity.  You do not need to set a screensaver.

The only other way I can imagine you can do this is if you run your mining software as a service.  Keep in mind that Microsoft has taken great lengths to prevent users from making ordinary programs into services.  It can be done, but ordinary programs do not conform to the same specifications that service programs do, and will often do strange things - such as indicate that the service is running when the application has in-fact failed to start, crashed, or hung.  You can use a third party service manager such as NSSM to work around this.  The mining software will run as soon as the system boots and will not require anyone to login.  However, if you are using a subset of programs that work with each other, this might be more difficult to do and you might have more success with the first option above.

This is my third time asking for assistance, any help is appreciated...

When I run a benchmark, none of my results are saved.  It used to save the results about 3 or 4 versions ago normally, but now it doesn't.  I have ensured that I have the proper profile selected and benchmarks checked, and I click "Save to Profile" and the "Configured Hardware" column updates with the values that were received during the benchmark....but when I close the benchmark and examine the profile in the options dialogue none of the benchmark results were actually saved.

I can run the benchmark, record the results manually, and edit the values in the profile under the options dialogue, so I'm not entirely sure why my results aren't saving.  I can provide logs, but I don't really see any errors - but I also don't know what I'm looking for.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software, and this is occurring on two systems now and I'm entirely unsure why.

Also - I threw this in initially a while back, but I don't think anyone saw it (or maybe no one cared? does anyone else think this would be useful?), but I would really like a "sustained" benchmark option so that I can selectively run an algorithm until I decide to stop it.  I want to be able to get up and check my watt meter during the benchmark, but I don't really have a way to look at both at the same time - especially if i'm doing a remote benchmark on a headless unit.  It would also be nice if I could edit wattage values in the benchmark section.
I've identified a problem with Benchmark save. I will release version 4.3.1 soon with a correction for this.

I've been away for a minute and I'm sorry I wasn't able to assist in answering too many questions even though I was practically begging for help (irl emergency, etc.), but I want to chime in and say thank you for fixing this.  It seems to be working great now!

What is the makeup of the rig you are trying to benchmark?  Does it have all the same types of cards?  (e.g all 1070s)  Are you giving the benchmarked profile a new name?  Are you benching a single card, or trying to do each one individually?

TLDR first: Various Rigs.  Single Vega 64 for now. Clone of AMD Default. Single Card Benchmark /w both Single Algo & Entire Series Algo tests.

Various rigs in various configurations, always a single GPU under a cloned profile of either the AMD or Nvidia default profile (so I don't mess up other profiles).  Specifically, the one I'm trying to do the past few days is a Vega 64 card in both a local and remote configuration on a windows 10 pro system, both pretty much configured minimal.  I've even reformatted once on the test machine (and switched mobos in the process), but I don't want to do it on the one I actually have dedicated to monitoring my other systems.  But, as I mentioned before, I can switch one of my Nvidia remotes from my dedicated monitoring system to the test bench remote and it does the same thing (I don't have a spare Nvidia card to actually toss in the test unit atm). Doesn't matter if I'm doing a single algo bench or an entire series of algo's.

Hey guys love how everything is going, but ran into a issue with my 4th worker not showing up in miningpoolhubstatistics. Does it take a while now? It's been about 12 hours mining with the new worker and I checked quite a few times I entered the worker name correctly.

Thanks for any help

Automatic addition can be very slow sometimes.
This only affects statistics.
You may add workername manually and you will see statistics immediately if you were mining correctly.

You get all credits whether your workers were registered or not. They are totally independent process internally.

Apparently, they can be incredibly slow...my other miner came online a week ago and it never showed up.  I added it manually and it did after a few minutes.

Edit: Oh, and yes i did get my coins, I must have freaked out just when they were out for auto. Thanks!

Is there a reason my workers are not being added to the individual pools automatically?  I was away for the holidays and set up a new system just prior and the entire time it was working for free.....

I've posted before, but can someone please help me figure out why my benchmarks will not save?

I can edit configurations just fine under options, however whenever I run the benchmark with the proper profile selected and algorithms checked... I click "Save to Profile", the configured hashrate column changes, but no changes are made when I go back into options and look at the profile.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software, ran as admin, etc. and I cannot figure out why my benchmarks will not save.  Is there a log somewhere I can submit to have further troubleshooting assistance?

I have an issue with the benchmark tool.  It seems to have occurred within the past update perhaps?

I cannot get any of my benchmarks to save.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software and changed miners (GPU, CPU, remote, local) as well as different pool options.  Nothing seems to work.

I have two systems that I've installed this software on (AMD/Radeon/Win10x64 and Intel/Nvidia/Win10x64) and neither will store their benchmark status when I push "Save to Profile".  It will show as changed under the configured hashrate column, but it will not save.

I can edit the options manually within each profile.

Also, can I throw a request for a sustained benchmark so I can let a specific algo run while a wattmeter is connected, rather than configure a specific miner for each test?
