1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Official btcQuick Support Thread (Active Customer Support) on: August 28, 2013, 04:28:47 PM
Hello.  Order #12743 here.  I placed my order early yesterday morning, and the money was taken from my bank account shortly after.  However, more than 28 hours later I see that the bitcoin has yet to be released and is still "under review."  I have tried contacting support through email and telephone but have not gotten a response.  Please help me out here, support ticket #11191.  Thank you.
2  Other / Beginners & Help / btcquick - 25+ hours, thought this site was legit? on: August 28, 2013, 01:27:53 PM
Ok so I posted yesterday about my order status on btcquick.com.  My money has been out of my bank account for over a day with the order status reading as "under review."  My account is verified, I implement the two-step verification process when buying/signing in, have verified my cell number, confirmed the order thru sms, so what the hell?  After leaving an email and a phone message to their support staff yesterday, I had to open a support ticket thru the site earlier since I am not being responded to.  I cannot post in their designated support thread since I am new to this forum, so am trying to get any info I can through this newbie section. If anyone can shed light on this or has had a similar experience please fill me in.  I can understand the account verification taking days to fulfill, but for a startup it seems that fulfilling a customer's order and supporting them through that process should be their main focus and the quickest step. No?   Huh
3  Other / Beginners & Help / How were you introduced to the bitcoin world? on: August 27, 2013, 09:29:47 PM
I learned about bitcoins a couple of weeks ago when listening to an article on a cell phone app.  I am relatively into current events/politics/tech (though admittedly not as technically proficient as the majority on this forum - I thought I was such hot sh*t rooting my cell a few months ago...cute) so I was surprised that it took me so long to stumble across an in-depth write-up about the new currency.  How did the rest of you guys first hear about this?  Friends?  Boards?  Serious connections?  Just curious as I head into my second hour...

Thanks for the reply, I realize I could just read past posts on this stuff but want to post as much as possible, don't hate the noob.  I am certainly intrigued by this shadowy corner of cyber-economics and appreciate the need for the rules & restrictions, but can't help feeling like a cult member desperate to prove his/her loyalty...At the very least, a super geeky frat pledge Wink
5  Other / Beginners & Help / btcquick - 8+ hours since my $ left, no btc/support on: August 27, 2013, 08:49:22 PM
So after looking around on this forum I decided to try out btcquick since it was deemed reliable by a good amount of users and I saw constant support from the company's CEO (their claims for super-quick transactions and payment options were also enticing).  So after my account was - I thought, at least - super verified, I did not anticipate an "under review" status for more than eight hours after my money left my bank account.  There's nothing on their site about this state of the payment process, so I tried contacting customer support, first via email and then, hours later, through their support number.  Nada.  So, can anyone help this poor schmuck out and fill me in?  I doubt Ascension is monitoring the Newbie section, so can anyone who has used this service shed light?  Call it impatience, but I find that my level of focus and determination to plow through this cloak and dagger stuff to be remarkable, given the modern internet user's hummingbird-esque attention span Grin  THANKS!

Hello everyone -

Gotta make a post here, so thought I'd ask a question I was wondering about:  are there different minimum post requirements for submitting new topics in the different sections on this board?  I need to post in a service thread and was wondering how many useful questions/comments I could muster to meet this quota?  Thanks Smiley
