My experience with kraken has been horrible in the recent months.
There is an increasing numbers of dissatisfied customers from Bitstamp regarding long support response times and even some fraud accusations.
These have been the oldest and most established bitcoin exchange in Europe! Kraken is responsible for assisting in processing claims by the 127,000 creditors of Mt. Gox.
It still boggles me that after all these years of terrible business practices, customer dissatisfaction and bad system security, not a single decent EU-based cryptocurrency exchange has emerged.
Some justify the problems due to the increasing demand. These are not just growth pains. It's something more.
Please, let me know, am I the only one with these beliefs?

The only reason Bitcoin Cash works thus far is because nobody uses it. If it were to be working at scale (that is, full blocks) people running nodes would get kicked out of the network, eventually leading only to datacenters running the BCH network.
The point is that Bitcoin Cash network is already centralized but the market doesn't care. The current transaction capacity is at 8MB which is equivalent to 2.5 million transactions per day. As long as the tx volume is below 2 million per day, or 6x the current rate of bitcoin, the fees will very low. |

I couldn't decipher exactly what you are asking in this case. Are you saying that:
1) You pruned your blockchain and then imported the address; or
2) You imported the address and then pruned the blockchain?
Keep in mind that '-rescan' is disabled in pruned mode (according to 0.12.0 release notes), thus importing an address will not show it's balance IIRC.

This. I used importaddress "my-watch-only-address" "" false With importaddress "my-watch-only-address" I got a "Rescan is ddisabled in pruned mode" error. I was wondering why would it need a rescan. I thought the full blockchain is needed only for the transaction history. In case that someone doesn't care about the history, why would he just import an address of private key to check balance? |

I have been running full nodes for 2 years. No problem with the firewall, and no problem with the IP, which haven't been changed.
I've got unreachable to other nodes since yesterday. Before all was well, and nothing was changed on my PC, firewall, IP etc. I have also restarted my PC and router a couple of times, but still 0 (zero) Incomming connections on the network bebug window in my bitcoin client.
Can it be a bug on the v0.13.0rc1 ? Should I change back to client 0.12.1?
Is 8333 really open? Did you perform a port check test for that?What does www.canyouseeme.org say? |

I believe a hard fork would be needed for that. Mimblewimble would better be a discrete blockchain implementation to get 100% of it's scalability potential.

If every node enables pruning, new nodes won't be able to sync the chain on top of the genesis block, they would need to trust a third party to receive an updated chain. Practically if this happens (very unlikely in short-mid term) it will have disastrous implications on decentralization and security. Afaik there are plans to distribute the block chain data on nodes to address the problem. However there will still be the need to sync the entire history, which will increasingly uncomfortable in the future. There is an interesting idea on a "Bitcoin Onchain Pruning" solution,but I don't know to what extent it can work. |

I couldn't get to anything notewirthy in the game. The door is locked, and you need to enter the password with a qwerty keybord in there, but no clue for the password. I only found that "LOOK AT FLOOR" reveals a skeleton with a a jacket, a note and the map. The note says: I fear I may perish soon. The portal sent me here. Now, I'm trapped with no way out. I think this map holds the key but I can't decipher it.
