Every coin has it's own strengths and weaknesses and ripple is certainly not the new or real bitcoin. Never hurts to accumulate a little of a lot of coins just in case one of them starts to rise, but imo I don't think any coin will reach the same heights as bitcoin. The market is getting saturated with loads of altcoins, what certainly doesn't help to make them grow.
