1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CUDA error 11-cannot write buffer for DAG on: February 10, 2018, 12:39:49 PM
Something else must be wrong. Im still mining on my 3GB's which are a mix of different brands, they are nothing special.

Try reinstalling drivers? Got another pc you could try one GPU in to confirm the problem is with that rig?

Had this same problem. Started to think like the others above, "Oh no i cant mine anymore as dag files too big for my GPU" etc.

Take DAG file size, multiply by number of GPUS and set virtual memory to this size.

For me;
12x3GB GPU's
12x2.3GB = 27.6 GB so set virtual memory to 32GB (bit of overhead for DAG file size increases).

Done.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bminer: a fast Equihash miner for CUDA GPUs (5.3.0) on: February 10, 2018, 09:09:17 AM
Using Bminer for 3 rigs here. Good hash rate, better than any others I've tried. Although as others have noted, not as stable and uses a lot of CPU.

Somtimes even crashes on "GPU hang" but running a EWBF miner works fine...

Anyway question;

Can you select only certain GPU's on BMiner?

Thanks fish, solved it with more virtual memory! 30gb did it. Now mining Smiley
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Problem with 12 1060s on: January 31, 2018, 09:20:33 PM
Hello all

I've got the B250 Pro BTC with 12 1060s in it.

I can mine equihash on all 12 no problem. However when trying to run Claymore or phoenix with Ethash, I get fail alarms for setting up the dag file.

I can mine on 9 GPUS EThash no problem, but then cannot mine anything on the last 3 (neither another instance of ethash or equihash).

Any ideas?

CPU is dual core 3.3Ghz
Ram is 4GB
Virtual memory set to 20GB.

Tried EVGA and it puts an error message "Too many GPUS" on startup.

Im getting on ok with MSI, it will be ok on one rig with 13x1060's. Its the rig with 5 different types of GPU thats a problem.

Those with afterburner do you see all cards or just the 8? I can only see the 8 cards on AB list.

I'll have to try EVGA hadnt thought to try that one.

There was an update last year sometime. It now runs 8+.

I had no problem at all with windows recognising 9 of them and the mining software does with no problem, its the OC utilities I'm struggling with!

Which version are you using then? Ive tried 2 and both only show 8 gpus
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8+ NVIDIA GPUs in windows - which OC utility works? on: January 20, 2018, 11:11:46 PM
Thanks, I've tried that. Doesnt seem very good at remembering set points. Also tried Asus GPU tweak which was actually worse lol

I suppose I'm straying into the unusual, where good software doesnt exist.

As per title, Ive got 2 13GPU motherboards which I am slowly populating as I get more cards. However one has hit 9 GPUs now and none of the overclock utilities Ive tried work!

What is everyone else using?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 3x 1080ti or 5x 1070ti? on: December 21, 2017, 03:46:02 AM
As title, which is best. My current rig is basic;
2x 1070
2x 1060 6GB
1x 1080
Some motherboard with 13 pcie slots.
850W EVGA PSU.
850W Cheapo PSU for 1080.

I want to expand and add another EVGA PSU and either
3x 1080ti @£680 = £2040
or
5x 1070ti @£420 = £2100

Has anyone trialled both, which is best!?

Thanks.
