1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Since nakamoto is born - I understand that every shitcoin = altcoin = eth ??? on: June 07, 2024, 06:40:42 PM
Why would ETH need a separate category? Altcoins are everything that is not Bitcoin. We already have memecoin category that is kinda pointless.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convert 12 word secret phrase to private key? on: June 07, 2024, 05:03:51 PM
Link https://github.com/iancoleman/bip39/releases/

Tutorial https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@lovelyloon/retrieve-private-key-from-seed-phrase

Make sure you run it offline and in a safe device, otherwise someone might able to compromise your private credentials.

I never thought that it was possible. I didn't actually search for it, but still.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins on Bitcoin blockchain, new crowd in announcement? on: May 24, 2024, 07:43:33 AM
I think that it's a good idea, I'd even like to use it on the BTC blockchain. I have experience with stablecoin on other chains, it was fine, but I think BTC stablecoin will be better.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether Seems like Sound money on: May 04, 2024, 11:51:22 AM
As already written above, the main problem of USDT is the possibility of freezing.
But this is not relevant for all blockchains.

This possibility is kinda expected, they had to do that to be allowed to operate. Otherwise, they'd face a lot of problems with governments.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we really need to blame fraudsters on: April 20, 2024, 01:01:51 PM
Have you noticed that whenever someone complain or there is an incident of scam they is always a role that was played by the person in that happening

It happens but not in all cases, you kept your property in your care is quite different from when you lost it out of carelessness or when someone came in and attack you just to steal you money from you, most of the people you see often loose their assets lack the practice of the security measures expected from them to use in shielding over their asset and this scammers uses such weakness to attack them, this is also very common to newbies in mot cases, if you know that you have something that you cherish, then don't wait till you're been attacked before doing something to protect yourself.
When you use a non-custodial wallet in the case of cryptocurrency, you will get a private key or a security phrase and that will be the only key to the security of its funds, so it is your responsibility to protect your money by taking care of them. so if you are careless and click on various phishing links or visit a scam site and try to access your wallet by submitting your private key, it is your own fault. so you can't blame anyone for that.

Well, it definitely the fault of the user, but it still doesn't mean that fraudsters can't be blamed, they should be punished for their actions. And users should be more careful. If something like that happens for the first time, it might be not even the complete fault of a user, maybe no one taught him that and he never faced anything like that. If someone is falling for something like that every time, then there is definitely something wrong with this person.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: xyro.io on: March 23, 2024, 08:39:19 AM
Would be nice if you could provide more information. That sounds a bit vague. Are you just a user or are you from the Xyro team? Or was hired by them?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your opinion on this on: March 14, 2024, 04:24:12 AM
Doesn't seem like something legit, I don't remember when airdrops required you to send tips. Where exactly did you see it, in the Binance app?
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Funds are SAFU": Here we go again, but with Coinbase! on: March 03, 2024, 11:21:30 AM
Some people just never learn. I thought after the FTX crash people would actually stop keeping their coins on exchanges. At least most of them.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Jon Said Ethereum is More Decentralized Than Bitcoin on: February 23, 2024, 04:34:32 AM
I don’t understand the whole decentralization comparison when it is crystal clear the bitcoin nodes and how it works explain a true decentralized network, just any one can be part of the node but that doesn’t relay to Ethereum chain where validators are mostly the center of attention for the network decision making which defeats the whole point of decentralization.

The funniest thing is that BTC doesn't have CEO, it's just works. But ETH has Vitalik, who can do whatever he wants with it. It can't be decentralized by definition.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you were Satoshi Nakamoto, what would you do? on: February 10, 2024, 07:48:06 AM

  • Would you dare to appear in public?
  • Would you move 1M BTC and sell for USD?
  • Would you participate in the development and upgrade process of Bitcoin blockchain?
  • Would you agree to accept the invitation to El Salvador?
  • Wouldl you continue to stay anonymous and observe the development of Bitcoin?
  • Would you reveal this secret to your children before you die?

[1] Who Is Satoshi Nakamoto?
[2] Why has Satoshi Nakamoto remained anonymous?

1. Definitely no
2. No, unless I wouldn't have money to survive.
3. If I'm anonymous I can't do that
4. Same
5. Most likely yes
6. Absolutely. Perhaps I would tell it to the whole world right before I die.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use profits from the crypto market? on: February 03, 2024, 09:33:57 AM
I usually use them to cover my debts or to buy food. I'd like to just reinvest them, but for now I'm not able to.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Kaspa actually Bitcoin 2.0? on: January 26, 2024, 02:55:35 PM
There is no Bitcoin 2.0. Bitcoin doesn't have a CEO and PR company. But it's still a good coin with potential.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's official Bitcoin ETF approved on: January 18, 2024, 08:40:12 AM
Bitcoin didn't fly to the moon on the ETF news. It's surprising because btc lost value at a time when ppl talked about record price before halving so what's going to make it stop losing more value?
Not What We Expected We were expecting Bitcoin ETF to go from $50K to $70K if Bitcoin ETF was approved but instead it hit a high of $48969. Since then, the price of Bitcoin has started to slide downwards. Currently, the price of Bitcoin is hovering around $42700. But I think it is unlikely that the price of Bitcoin will go up. Since the bitcoin ETF approval did not increase the price of bitcoin as we expected, do you think the price of bitcoin will increase after the halving?

I think it should go up after the halving, just not as fast as some may think. It will take a few months at least.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you gained anything after the end of bull run? on: January 14, 2024, 10:32:53 AM
I haven't gained anything besides more BTC. I was buying only it for the whole year. Now I'm planning to get into altcoins.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You want to make USDT transaction, check transaction fee across chains on: January 04, 2024, 05:38:17 AM
TRX was way cheaper before, it's kinda disappointing, I was really used to it.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microstrategy Acquires 14,620 Bitcoin, Don't get carried away. on: December 28, 2023, 06:35:18 AM
I do the same, but I'm not Michael Saylor, I still can't gather even 1 full coin. I understand why some people are excited, but it kinda worries me that 1 man has almost 1% of the total supply. I don't see it as something good.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are we expecting between now and Bitcoin halving? on: December 19, 2023, 11:00:49 AM
I'm waiting for the ETF. I believe that BTC will pump there a lot, not sure about hitting a new ATH. But I'm not planning to sell it yet anyway.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: help me not to leave btc on: December 07, 2023, 10:32:13 AM
Do your research and understand why are you investing in it. It's harder when you're younger, but try to think in the long term. BTC will pump and dump a lot of times in the future. But in the long-term it will most likely melt faces. So if you want to DCA - remember that when you invest. And don't open your wallet too often. A couple of times in a day is enough when you don't have money to invest and don't plan to sell anything.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRC20 or BEP20? on: November 30, 2023, 09:44:34 AM
TRC20 is more expensive now, however, it wasn't always like that. I hope they'll fix that in the future. As far as I know TRC20 is a bit more widely spread.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Logo .... a hologram made with Blender on: November 23, 2023, 08:46:31 AM
Nice job, especially for the beginner!
Now make an NFT from it, that would be hilarious.
