i also have a problem. Yesterday i try to withdraw some realBTC. today i saw that my withdrawal is stoped and i have 7realBTC more on my acount and -11goxBTC. what is going on ?

it means that there is no large gap between large prime numbers ? and the prime numbers go to infinity? so this is very good news for primecoin? the PoW could be more safe then SHA256, right?

a lot of people talk about diversify now between technology. So:
-> first new innovation: Namecoin
-> first scrypt coin: litecoin
-> first POS coin: PPC
-> first scrypt+pos: novacoin
-> first new POW (the most importatnt if something go wrong with SHA256): Primecoin


so this coin should go up the most i think. primecoin lost the most of all these becouse of bad short-term news. So i think that it could skyrocketing in next days/weeks

today i mined my first block of primecoin (solo mining)
awsome feeling - I've mined it for last 3weeks

when you open wallet without password after 30 days you will mine POS block - dont worry. Now you should focus how to unlock your wallet.

PrimeCoin (XPM) = 12xfaster then Bitcoin, usefull in science, good press, unique!, probably more secure then SHA256, smooth reward dropping, CPU mining (everyone could do it).

people should read more about this coin. I make a lot of research and can't find better project. Maybe NVC (with CAP of 10 NVC per POS) could  rival.

Now the problem with price is becouse people were waiting for difficult 10. after ypool down - many people was disappointed (me too). But this is short term factor - by the end of the year we should reach difficult 10 and the reward will drop 10-15%. Another bad factor was maco and his scam-promote project. He told that he will find good people and promote primecoin, but he did nothing. Another short-term bad factor is talking about GPU miner and big dissapointed in this area.

This is only short-term factors and i belive that we will see XPM/BTC at 0,1 in the future. Maybe one, maybe 2-3 years. We will see. People who invest in cryptocoin couldn't miss XPM becouse if SHA256 will be broke then XPM will survive - everyone need to be diversify.

answers:
1) Prime size would stay same. The prime chains aren't going to be exhausted. There are countless prime numbers, basically as abundant as numbers themselves. Remember there is a prime every couple of hundred numbers at the scale primecoin miners work. So for a 256 bit number there are more than 2^248 primes, so that's not far from 2^256 which is the total numbers at 256 bit.
2) Prime number theory is an extreme hard discipline, with hundreds of years of history. So it's not very likely to happen overnight. I'd say even if you throw trillions dollars at such research it's not going to produce that type of results on demand. Also, even if you find a super efficient mining algorithm doesn't mean you 'break' the proof-of-work system, it just means you have an advantage over the public before you publish the findings. The difficulty can scale enormously in primecoin's design.

its quite optimistic. those 2 questions were my major doubts about prime. now i think that this model of PoW could be more safe then SHA256, which could have some problem when quantum computer appear on the market.
