I don't have any information to help you but you should certainly consider not making titles such as that. Originally I thought there was some malicious intent on Cryptopia's part, not cool dude not cool at all. You made a mistake, so you should own it. Don't blame others for your mistake, that is petty in my opinion. I hope you get your funds back, but I also hope you don't arbitrarily blame others. Thanks chief Smiley

I agree that your title is very wrong. Cryptopia may have its own questionable problems, but in this specific case it is your mistake to have not secured your email enough. With such a title you suggest that there is some specific wrongdoing of the part of Cryptopia, which I would now say it is not the case.

2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / question about unfairly cheap TX on: February 19, 2018, 09:41:42 AM
So i sent about 20$ worth of BTC to a friends wallet with samourai yesterday since i wasn't able to pay for our pizza via bitpay with it because they apparently don't support their address format.

I paid 10 cents and it confirmed within like 10-20minutes. Im watching https://dedi.jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#all and realise were at almost all time low tx fees.

While watching jochen hoenickes mempool website i realize i dont really understand it properly i think.

No i didn't search the whole web for an answer yet though i did some research on my behalf but im still not entirely sure how TX fees were able to drop this fast.

also has it something to do with segwit?

please let me know; looking forward to your opinion

here is their announcement topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1669443.0
here is the active support staff that may possibly be able to answer you: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=805820

try your Email provider and see if you can get your Email address back somehow. it may be easier. you can even offer to pay a bigger fee to them.

wow just saw this; thank you so much for your reply!

question: have you ever had a support ticket with them?

i was waiting for one when i still had the account that has never been resolved or even been touched (it was trying to change my email); also go to other forums and look up other problems people have. OFC is somehow my fault but support could be a lot better.... if this gets resolved im obviously going to post this also... thanks for the reply
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Beware of cryptopia! If possible please help! on: February 13, 2018, 05:37:16 PM
My email provider has deleted my email address because i forgot to make my payment.

all my emails are gone but i have access to the address again. i created an account without verification but i got the correct email and password and also my 2FA keys + backup.

you can only create a support ticket when you're logged in but since my email got deleted my cryptopia account went with it.

i have around 1,5 bitcoin in altcoins in there which is "ok" much to me.. i would like to actually have it back ASAP because my last login was just like 1 1/2 weeks ago but now it just tells me "wrong email or password"

please dont just hate on me and say: youre crazy to have that much money in cryptopia anyways

its ok i know how dumb having money in exchanges is but still they havent exitscammed or anything yet afaik so i think there should be a high possibility to get my money back; still im a bit worried.

please if you have any information as of how to reach out to cryptopia let me know

- ive created a support ticket with my normal email
- sent an email from the email account the cryptopia account has been created with to their support email
- created twitter/cryptopiareddit/and now bitcointalk requests to look into my problem

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: new anon coins on: October 02, 2017, 12:20:41 PM
DeepOnion is fairly new and holding up pretty well, they're in free airdrop phase at the moment.  You account is old enough to be eligible to join, you just have to wear a sig and post at least 10 times per week.

Dev team are pretty active at rolling out updates and the current value of the airdrops is around $500 per week, and you are allowed to sell 10% of your airdrop per week without getting blacklisted.  See sig for info

If it's an anon coin, how can they know if you sell >10% of your airdrop?

i was thinking the same

13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / "within crypto there are 2 kinds of exchanges.. on: July 31, 2017, 08:29:58 AM
..the ones which have been hacked. and the ones that will be hacked"

so for all people who are new to the game. seriously try to minimize the money you store on exchanges! use hardware wallets, paper wallets. control your own keys.

dont sink with exchanges that seem to be safe because they have never had problems. its nasty business out there!

take care!
14  Other / Off-topic / newbie question again, building a desktop PC on: June 22, 2017, 11:41:37 AM
hey guys i used to play a lot of games back a few years ago and at one point about 3 years ago i stopped using my PC and switched to just having a macbook for trading and basically nothing else.

i feel like its almost impossible with my macbook to have any blockchains installed on my MAC because of storage issues also i have all my DJ stuff on it and it gets laggy.

so now i want to buy something that i want to use for lots of original clients like bitcoinQT

if you'd have 2000€ to spend for computer gear and all you want to do is trading and having the possibility to have all those QT clients on your computer, what would you buy?

laptop and add extra storage?
buy a good computer?

let me know i really have no idea about graphics cards or anything.

17  Bitcoin / Electrum / Ledger Nano S + Electrum (MAC) (BIP39?) on: June 09, 2017, 03:18:46 AM
Hey, newbie question here:

I bought a Nano S and i thought it would be quite cool not to be required to use Chrome for everything, so i saw i could use it with my Electrum wallet also.

When i go to create new/restore -> standard wallet -> use hardware device -> select: "an unnamed ledger"

it tells me

 - your not in bitcoin mode. so i went into my bitcoin wallet i installed on the ledger
 - tells me "read error"

can i do anything about this problem?

also another question:

if i have my 12 words could i theoretically import them into mycelium/ledger/electrum and spend and receive from all 3 apps using the same seed?

also can i use 2 different bitcoin wallet to login one for ledger chrome app and one for electrum without vanishing everything from the device by just opening the bitcoin app?

would be nice to know! thanks in advance

No way, if Bitcoin investments are flourishing like it is currently why should I bother investing in some excuse my language-shitcoins. It's global knowledge that Bitcoin is going places and with the daily demand of it, its definitely headed for the moon interns of growth in value and so I'll rather have all my investments in Bitcoin.

word up
